Putting your buddies on bankroll sure is a dumb idea.
That being said, am I the only one worried that channels that were close to the Grumps (ie Supermega) will end up doing the same? There was a post on Rantgrumps highlighting the Tucker Bros. specifically kinda falling under the "having your friends employed" title. I know Jackson does things here and there, but what the fuck does the second one even do? He's so forgettable I can't even remember his damn name!
Will? We already saw with groups like Super Best Friends, Normal Boots, The Completionist, and Rooster Teeth that one way or another, doing that will inevitably backfire on you at some point. That's why one of the number one rule of business is never hire your friends and family: because the business side will complicate the relationship over time.

Everyone thinks they're invincible to it, but no matter how long you can keep it going, it will always come back to bite them in the ass in some way, shape, or form, and ostensibly cause the rest of the company (and especially the fanbase) to go into a frenzy.

His name is Harrison and he's actually the only Tucker that does anything. I think he has some kind of business degree and actually handles the business side of their channel. The other two just show up and do things for them and they started with just two, but now there is a third named Carson.

The other thing is that it's their main job otherwise OneyPlays would be under that group too, but the channel is more of a supplement to whatever other projects they're working on
I don't see SuperMega doing any better than game grumps now with their reliance on the twitter crowd and cleaning up their "problematic" past like Arin is, but holy fuck treating it like it's this big business is so dumb when it's just people making shit jokes

It's a tale as old as time, people have a hobby or a side thing that becomes profitable, the logical move is to go further into said project. The fans get more and higher quality content while the creator gets to live through something they love, that's the golden era. Eventually that energy that was brought in the original product wanes and falters because it's been forced into being their main thing, a job and not a passion.
The only option is to ride the horse until it fucking dies with the dwindling number of die hard fans and a few new fans, or to put it out of it's misery before things get too bad.

It's the natural cycle. GG is pretty interesting because that horse is dragging it's feet right now and Arin is stuffing as many oats as possible into it with the neverending merch season and him using as much nepotism points as possible to score crossovers with other, newer creators.

Success ruins everything.

I thought with SBF, Matt and Pat BECAME friends and then brought in Woolie, a mutual friend. Although people seem to theorize personal politics (Matt's wife) ruined that friendship, rather than work. So it could be more of a Jon and Arin situation if Arin didn't find Danny.
I miss the SBF, they at least knew and made fun of themselves for being stupid.
Arin can't even laugh at himself, he'd rather sperg out.
Oh man, imagine if GG went the SBF route and Arin was just like Matt, struggling to stay relevant in this current era of youtube.

So far most of those in the general orbit of the Grumps and Arin have followed the same pattern, starting off passionate and having good quality work only to start really grinding down. Supermega seems to have hit that stretch incredibly fast after the Fenatyl Floyd riots, though they were already seeming to slow down on putting out anything that isn't their podcast. It's strange I feel like they'd just began to really take off then they just immediately started spiraling. Not super on topic however so I think so I'll leave it at that.

How long did Arin even have his card channel open before all this bullshit? I feel like most of the channel's attempts at actually getting into regular streaming has not flown too well. With the obvious exceptions of apparently making huge amounts of money off his charity grift simp donations.

The first recorded post about Arin and Shuffle Master was back on July 28nd, 2020 so it's fairly recent. I feel like he's done at least two streams a month if not more since he did lots of sets.

But everytime i've checked his streams they were also filled with Paypigs who were just giving him money for absolutely no reason.

Actually, their attempts at streams on the main channel were doing extremely well, money-wise: nearly every stream they did they would get - and I'm not exaggerating in the slightest here - about $9,000 in channel donations per stream, excluding the stuff like the charities for St. Jude and Healing Horse.

They just stopped doing it on Game Grumps because Arin didn't really feel like doing it anymore.
And because he was getting """hydrated""" on stream and couldn't stop putting his foot in his mouth when interacting with fans, but y'know, semantics.

I'd seen some highlights of their streams and I know that they had a decent number donating just to send memes or what have you but holy shit. I'd never realized they were raking in that much per stream. The fact that there's any money issues at all from that is incredibly staggering, they could just run a few streams a month and shit on gold toilets.

Not when you're renting out a giant office building, are the owner of several businesses with massive overhead, and upkeeping a dead game's numerous foreign servers during that time.

Is matt really doing that bad?
His what happened videos get like 150k - 300k views a vid
Well it's like VictimizedMinch replied, most people only care about that one series. Not to mention, that's the one series that does that. Which, those numbers were probably fine when he was with SBF with multiple videos a week each getting those numbers. What Happened is like, what, monthly? So in a way, he's struggling. As is Woolie, without the podcast.

Anyway, the GG merch store is open again, I guess? If you want to buy really ugly pajama pants.

Still waiting for an Arin or Game Gyaru Arina pocket pussy that includes the tagline "HUnggghgnggginggngg shuffle my pussy, master 😍", with the confirmation that Arin as a cock hungry butt slut they could even include a golden ticket with his address inside every 3 boxes.

I thought with SBF, Matt and Pat BECAME friends and then brought in Woolie, a mutual friend.
I was actually just listening to an old video where Matt talked about this. He actually asked Woolie to be his let's play partner initially, Woolie thought it was dumb, so he asked Pat.

Since we're discussing it anyways, might as well post both parts of the Game Grumps 2020 Summary here as a refresher for those just joining the thread.
I was also gonna spoiler the posts themselves and add them in here but they were apparently so long that it actually exceeded the Farms' word limit, so apologies if I have to doublepost with JUST the summaries, but in this case it's actually necessary in order for it to go through.
EDIT: Never mind, I have to triple post, because even just uploading the two of them together is causing issues. FUCK me.

NotBlarg has also said that they're hesitant in doing another summary for next year or for future years due to getting completely burnt out on things from the Grumps and no longer finding Grumps hlding his interest as much as they did. However, he did note that he may end up coming back if things get really fucking crazy. But if he's gone for good, then all I can say is: Semper Fi, NotBlarg, your no-bullshit non-autistic cataloging helped this thread more than you could ever know.
:semperfidelis:

On a related note: he also revealed that he'd been keeping screenshots from years back of this old 4chan AMA with someone who people thought to be RicePirate. No one 100% confirmed it was him, and I don't remember if this was posted already, but adding it to the thread for posterity can't hurt.
1609894477745.png
This entire /v/ AMA really hits a lot different given everything that's happened in the past 2 years, and how spot on some of that guy's predictions were. If it wasn't RicePirate or anyone else within their friend group then they had the foresight of a fucking god. Because holy shit.

EDIT: Added the posts and archives, spoilering below in case both happen to go down, so it's cataloged in the actual thread.

This post is designed to look at everything the Game Grumps have done in the past year. Both positive and negative. Everything on this list caused a stir in the Game Grumps community. I have multiple sources and if it was a talking point in two or more of those, then it was added to the list. Anything else I deemed irrelevant/nitpicky and thus ignored. Once again, I've tried sticking to the facts, meaning my opinion has been removed as much as possible, but some may have slipped through the cracks.

To fit everything on here, a brief summary has been made, but understand that context is important, and to get all the details, check the source material. Essentially, I will give you the information, but it's up to you to interpret it. To help you, links and/or timestamps have been provided for most things on the list, and I've double checked all of them to make sure they work. Other than that, happy reading.

Due to the length, this post was split into two parts. A link will be at the bottom as well as right here:

Twilight Princess Playthrough

Over a minute left in the video that was supposed to be edited out as Arin looks up what to do next (25:56-28:09)

During this, Dan talks about how he wants to do Game Grumps for fun and just make music when he officially retires, no more power hour or touring. Arin responds with "Who needs to make money anymore". (27:45-28:09)

Arin talks about how the Joker is a "mean" movie because it celebrates the type of character the Joker is. (11:12-14:03)

Arin talks about how the negativity of Soviet Jump Game and Uncle Cecil's Ghost Hunter's Club Book advertisements ruins the fun for everyone and that he was surprised by some of the negative reactions. (19:33-24:23)

More Soviet Jump Game Advertising

Arin gets "kidnapped" to promote Soviet Jump Game

Reactions continued to be mixed as the people who liked the fact that it was advertised as "A lost piece of gaming history" still liked it, but those who didn't, were still upset as Arin doubled down on the bit and refused to apologize despite him talking about how he upset his fans.

"But if I backpedal then no ones gonna be happy. Not the people who liked the bit and not the people who wanted me to apologize."

A lot of people still did/do not know that the Soviet Jump Game advertising was just a bit.

Soviet Jump Game releases for free on Steam in early access. Reviews were mixed (6 out of 10) citing no severs outside of the US, broken controller support, lots and lots of lag, crashes, bugs, and graphical issues that still persist to this day. A week after it's release, player count dropped to less then 100 (50 is the max player count per game)

Arin played Soviet Jump Game with some fans on both twitter and YouTube streams. The Twitter stream reached a max of 154 players, while YouTube reached almost 500 where he kept saying to buy the legacy version ($15 and has the same playable character as the starter pack, Lakika, so it is a waste to buy both) in both this stream and all future streams. Arin continued streaming Soviet Jump Game on YouTube 4 more times and got a max player count of 358, 316, 274, and 117 respectively.

The Soviet Jump Game Twitter said the Grumps were going to advertise the game more. One of which was a Twitter stream of both Arin and Dan which later was uploaded to YouTube as an episode. In the episode, Dan knew nothing about the game including the fact that he was in it. The player count reached 32 for this stream. Another instance was Arin and the Soviet Jump Team playing the game on an Esports stream, the player count reached 24, followed by another episode on Game Grumps where the player count maxed out at 68.

Soviet Jump Game officially releases and Arin goes on Inside Gaming to promote it, along with Soviet Jump Game appearing in ads on Youtube.

Markiplier tried to play it on Stream but the servers crashed and he spent most of his time yelling about a head of lettuce as player count reached over 1000 then immediately went back down to normal numbers as soon as he was done.

The Grumps streamed the game five more times and people were quick to criticize that Soviet Jump Game was the only game they streamed this year after streams were deemed too much effort last year. In the final stream, Arin was getting upset as people were stream sniping him.

The total advertisements for Soviet Jump Game were: three Dendy videos, two trailers, one soundtrack, one live action video, two posters, two shirts, two streams on twitter, 13 streams on YouTube (12 on the Game Grumps channel), one esports stream, one Markiplier stream, one CrankGameplays stream, one Completionist stream, YouTube advertisements, Steam advertisements and two Game Grumps episodes.

The current state of Soviet Jump Game has not changed much since release. The game is still full of bugs and constant lag, along with control issues, freezes, and shadow players (players the game thinks exist but don't, making it impossible to win.) Each time, the game is updated with a new character, the game breaks for about two weeks until a patch is delivered, or is simply not fixed at all. Recently several of the longtime players have called out the devs on this, but to no avail or response.

The current game player count for the last 30 days averages at 6.0 players with the peak players at 19. At the time of writing this, 1 person was playing in the last hour with a 11 player peak in the last 24 hours.

Players in the Soviet Jump Game Discord have bullied at least two people out of the community for not playing the game in what they deem "correctly".

The Unicorn Princess Playthrough

At 11:27-11:30 Ben added an edit that included bright flashing colours and loud noises (Do not recommend clicking and there is sound: Actual Edit) There was no warning put in the description and someone was hospitalized due to a seizure from this edit. A seizure warning was put in the description a few days later and the video was taken down several months later after some more issues with Ben.

More Dr. Cecil

Arin continues the highly negative bit from last year where he claimed his mother was forcing him to promote his uncle's new book but it was actually just Arin playing dress up to promote the "Ghost Hunter's Adventure Club" book again and again and again. As well as creating shirts for Dr. Cecil and against him, the latter acknowledging the backlash of the bit, and neither sold particularly well.

Arin cites again that his mother is forcing him and his "uncle" made a website. (Website is not secure) Then he went on to interview him, along with more and more and more and more twitter videos, followed by the uploading the complete saga on YouTube, Cecil reading chapter one (now private for unknown reasons), releasing the book on Bandcamp (Now removed for unknown reasons), more merch and an audible release, Youtube ads, a live stream of Arin reading the book, and Arin leaving an amazon review where he once again stated his mom made him do it.

The total advertisements of Ghost Hunter's Adventure Club were: Arin saying his mother is forcing him to promote his uncle's book four times (Once on Good Content, twice on Twitter, and once in an Amazon review), multiple tweets (too many to document), multiple ads at the beginning of videos, YouTube Ads, a fake twitter account for his uncle, two fake interviews for his uncle (One on Twitter and one on YouTube), 9 different voice messages, three shirts, a pin, a music video, a website, a compilation video, a video of Cecil reading the first chapter, a live stream of the Arin reading, Audible, and a digital album.

Arin eventually got in touch with the artist three days later and said he would make a tweet about it. To this day, no tweet has ever been made.

"We were stupid for not crediting the artist. We always do that." - Arin after not giving credit to Suzy for the Good Boy Coins in a Power Hour episode.

No credit was also given to the Claymation animator for a couple of merch ads that appeared at the beginning of some episodes. (Another) Here is a link to their twitter and YouTube, so they can get the credit.

Ben Minor

On Ben's personal Twitter, people found that he asked a current 17 year old for nudes and claimed that he got "that plus more". After some more digging, people found that he was also tweeting oddly sexual things at this person and even got his account locked at one time. When people dug a bit further, they found out that Ben has been constantly doing this for years (One, two, three, four) and even took a picture with them when they were 14. Ben deleted the tweets when people took notice and any comments about the incident on Game Grumps videos were deleted. Eventually Ben gave a sarcastic apology, hid any negative tweets and blocked people, before finally deleting the apology.

No Game Grumps episode uploaded for Blackout Tuesday

Arin asks whether he should make a statement about BLM on the Game Grumps account

He explained that this is because he thinks of Game Grumps as a brand and that a tweet would sound hollow. Arin received backlash for this (another) with both "Arin" and "Game Grumps" trending on Twitter. Arin retweeted a tweet against white supremacy and capitalism, then said he regretted asking and that he would make a statement from everyone in the company tomorrow. The next day Game Grumps made a statement and apologized for past racism.

Suzy quickly followed, but people were quick to point out that Arin apologized years ago while she only apologized because she was afraid of the backlash. In her own words, "I didn't apologize sooner because I was scared of the pain I would get by bringing attention to it" She also addressed one of her leaked tweets from last year, which also got backlash saying that she wouldn't have said anything if no one brought it up and saying that she made it about her when she said "I don't appreciate the shaming".

Arin liked a tweet calling Jon a dickhead bigot

In a now deleted Instagram story, Vernon went out as a field medic and was arrested during the protests for throwing things at police.

Game Grumps deletes "problematic" videos

After stating they would never do this, and if they did people wanting them to go the Warner Bros route, Game Grumps started deleting videos deemed "problematic".

The videos deleted resulting in a loss of ~40 million views which included all of A Link to the Past (both Jon and Dan playthroughs, the latter of which had Arin's Subway Rant, a fan favourite), Pokemon Emerald Part 13, Banjo-Kazooie Parts 11 and 19, Animal Crossing City Folk Part 2, Sonic 06 Part 36, and all of Bayonetta. Other video titles were also changed to remove swearing.

However, people were quick to point out that the videos deleted focused on Black and no other races, completely ignoring entire years of everything from accents, stereotypes, animations, to entire bits. Arin has even said several times that returning to Endless Ocean and Dog Island is unlikely because "some of the character voices haven't aged well."

And in terms of deleting the videos, they missed a lot in the Black category, in fact, the only videos/series that were deleted were the ones included in the Game Grumps N-word Compilation, so they missed things like, Arin not wanting to edit out the N-Word in a Mario Maker comment, Dan saying "Because he's Black" in Shovel Knight, Arin dropping the N-Word in Awesome the Hedgehog, Dan saying the N-word (Bonus: Dan saying the F-word), and many many more.

More info about Dan accusations

This one comes from an ex Dan fan blog, and gives the experience of several girls and the pattern Dan had including how he contacted the girls on social media and DMs, talks turn to either him or her flying out or visiting the other's room at cons, the phrase "Money is not a problem for me" and "If my life were different we would be together" thrown around, most girls being more than 15+ years younger, and after the fling, Dan would ghost them. One girl provided picture evidence of a Dan selfie as proof.

Ubisoft Ads

Ubisoft is currently going through a plethora of sexual harassments, sexual assault, and sexual misconduct claims, (Resulting in at least three top executives getting fired) so when Game Grumps did an Assassin's Creed Valhalla Ad, fans went on Twitter, Reddit, YouTube, etc, saying please don't associate with them and please don't support them. All these pleas were ignored when Game Grumps did another Ubisoft ad for Immortals Fenyx Rising a few weeks later.

Common complaints are that Arin spends half the stream reading only the super chat, he will simply toss away non rare cards, refuses to do any gameplay of the trading card games, has little to no knowledge on the rules or cards he is opening including things like how to attack, and terrible thumbnails and titles.

Arin makes a statement on Ben

After almost two months of people asking Arin to make a statement about Ben and him blocking people on Twitter who ask about it, as well as banning people or mumbling and skipping the question for people who ask about it on his streams, Arin finally made a statement, stating that the silence was because Ben lost a family member and that he wanted to give him time to grieve. Arin told Ben that his behavior was not appropriate as long as he works at Game Grumps, and he is still editing for them.

When someone asked about the video that gave a fan a seizure thanks to Ben's edits, Arin stated that he did not know about it, despite emails being sent, and a disclaimer added to the description a few days later. The video was taken down, and Arin has deleted the tweet saying that he did not know.

Ben previous had privately contacted someone on Twitter and after Arin's statement, issued another apology where he explained that his actions were wrong, that he understood that now, and that his twitter was originally the voice of his character in Buckwheat Groats (his band that appears to have ended in 2014) who is known for posting edgy humor. While this apology was enough for some, for others, it was not.

Ben has stated multiple times that the tweets he made were "old" and that people took things out of context months later. While several tweets are indeed months old, the Reddit post was created on May 17th and Ben's last tweet was on May 8th, a difference of nine days.

It appears that Ben did not think he did anything wrong until after Arin spoke with him. In his own words, "Eventually, Arin became aware of the complaints, had a discussion with me about it, and it was during this time I realized that even though my tweets were indeed “just jokes,” that did not in any way make them okay." In the timeline of events he provided, this was after he had deleted the first and second batches of tweets found and issued and deleted his first apology.

A few days after Game Grumps deleted a few videos that included jokes about sexualizing children including the fan favourite Sad Hoshi in Journey to Silius, and a therapist hypnotizing and having sex with a little girl in Disney Princess (Something that Arin knew about). However, people were quick to point out that Arin and Dan had made plenty of sexual jokes about children over the years including Misty (10) from Pokemon, and Medli and Zelda (both around 14) in the The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker and many many more.

Sonic Shuffle Playthrough

Part 2 was uploaded early with the title and thumbnail as Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 instead

They were not playing with the Dreamcast controllers so they could not see their cards which had numbers on them indicating the spaces you could move

In Part 3 the game crashes so they watch someone else's playthrough and start the game all over

Arin's browser history shows a link to YouTube user smokemymarc, who had two playlists on his channel titled "Videos of my feet!" and "My teen giant videos!". (All videos went private in Sept 2018) In his About Page, the page Arin's history showed, it says he does $4 a minute camshows and links to a dominant bodybuilder blog where he describes himself as "I am the intimidating college wrestler and bodybuilder of your fantasies. Master to slaves, dominating weak f*ggots and s*ssies with ease. My fetishes are master/slave, giant, feet, findom and more. Whether draining your pockets or putting you in your f*g place, look no further for complete domination." (Censored for obvious reasons)

Finale ended early so they started story mode

The return of the return to Majora's Mask

Two episodes lost between episodes 79 and 80

Arin Appreciation Day Twitter, a holiday celebrated every three months on the 18th all about Arin Hanson, gets shut down due to violating Twitter rules

Cameo

Arin starts a Cameo. 80 per request and 4.99 to chat and then increased to 99 and 9.99 a few days later. Then increased once again to 125 and removing the chat.

Dan and Brian soon followed. Dan is 99 per request and no chat, but increased to 125, while Brain is 75 per request and 9.99 to chat, but eventually reduced to 50 per request

For comparison, Nolan North (Drake from Uncharted) cost is 70 per request

At the time of writing, Dan has 768 reviews, Arin has 402, and Brian has 46

Game Grumps Face Masks

Game Grumps releases their own personal face masks

Multiple people have reported that even though they are advertised as "One size fits most" they are on the small side, and that material does not hold up after a couple of washes (one person reported just one wash ruin the mask) as well as not being made from "Covid safe" material.

Hollow Knight Playthrough

A playthrough that was hyped up several times in the community tab (One, two, three)

Dropped after four episodes because it was "too slow for the channel"

The password for the Grump Out Channel was found

A large amount of Grump Clips (Game Grumps moments) were uploaded at once, complete with new Dan and Arin Mustache Grumps

The result was losing over 17K subs in less than a week

Suzy went to a garage to get her car fixed and noticed that a conversation had been recorded on her phone

The conversation was an argument between two people, so she called the garage to report it and went on Twitter announce what had happened

Turns out the conversation was the ending to the song "Daddy" by Korn, which is apparently one of Suzy's favourite songs, and when she learned this, she quickly deleted the tweets

Even more Dan accusations

Another person has come forward and privately shown proof to the mods as well as myself (the deal was that we would not be sharing what we saw and I intend to honor that agreement) and it was the best proof shown so far. The person was 17 when they started talking in 2013 and they met up when she was 21 in 2017. They continued to sext until 2018 which overlaps with Dan's current girlfriend who he publicly announced in Jan 2019. (And it is likely her he admitted dating in Oct 2017)

That same day, I was messaged by another person who privately provided proof as well in the form of pictures of them together and screenshots of Dan offering to pay for her plane ticket and picking her up from the airport, as well as another who claimed that not only do Arin, Brian, TWRP and Planet Booty all know about Dan's behaviour, but they have special rules for him to not being girls back to the tour bus or backstage anymore.

Among us Playthrough

Several guests including Jacksepticeye, Ross, and Markiplier

No one was allowed to stream the game and any uploads had to match the Grumps. When Markiplier didn't read the email all the way through and released his footage two weeks earlier, another message was sent reminding people not to do that.

Several videos do not have links to the guests in the description and while others had some in the title and the put the rest as "etc".

Danganronpa Playthrough

Arin uses the same voice for three different characters

A toy blocks some of Arin's screen so he can't see all the dialog and he refuses to move it

Arin was convinced that a character was trans and gets upset at the other characters for assuming the person's gender and misgendering them. When the character's backstory is revealed and this was not the case, Arin skipped over the dialog and claimed that the character was "not fully trans", but the character is not trans at all and instead just a crossdresser who wanted to avoid bullying, so the person who misgendered them was Arin himself. Afterward, some Lovelies went on Twitter and repeated Arin's claim that the character was trans and that the game was transphobic.

On Shuffle Master Arin stated that he loves Dagrapona but "it is a fucking horrible game" and "it's a fucking visual novel, it's not a game".

Ghoul Grumps

New intro, old audio, with wolf Dan and bat Arin

Grump heads on thumbnail were Ghoul Grumps heads for one episode before never being seen again

Some kills in Dead by Daylight were censored (9:54, 13:37, 44:09, 44:58) and Alien Isolation had deaths censored as well. Both were criticized by fans as other playthroughs of the game did not censor anything.

"Slithering tentacle excites the furry in Dan" is an actual title for an episode

Old Game Grump clips are censored in "We watch ourselves get SCARED playing horror games!!!" compilation

PS5

Arin asks Sony on Twitter for a PS5 so he could play Demon Souls on Game Grumps. He received no response.

Seeing this, a fan sent Arin a PS5 and Arin gave him a shout out which netted him about 60 subs

It is unknown whether or not Arin paid the fan for the console or simply took it, but people were quick to point out that this is not the first time Arin accepted rare or expensive gifts from fans (Philip's CDI) and it isn't the first time he asked fans to send him things. (Pokemon cards in 2019 and expensive games in 2018, one of which being the Flintstones NES game worth about $500.)

Total games played with the PS5 on Game Grumps - 0

Mario Party 4 Playthrough

First instance of removal of episode numbers and Grump heads from thumbnails

Dan is the BOY OF THE HOUR! uploaded out of order as the previous day's episode. Then reuploaded as the next day's episode with an ad in front, before finally being fixed and uploaded as the right episode later in the day.

Due to playing on an emulator, Dan had massive input lag which Arin was unsympathetic about

Mario 35 Playthrough

After years of having a band focused around sex, encouraging PolyGrumps (Another), selling hypersexualized merch like Grump body pillows and rule 63 titty mouse pads, and allowing fans to put him in House Party, a literal sex game, Dan asks not to be in anymore fan made sexual content like fanfictions and asks for all of that to be taken down.

The next day, Game Grumps restocked the body pillows and Dan's sold out within a couple of minutes

Phasmopobia playthrough

In Part 1, the game crashed right at the end before getting an answer to the ghost type

Someone tells the behind the scenes story of the impromptu Wendy's meet up Arin did a few years ago

(The staff were tired and angry because) "how big of a rush it was, how scared the shift manager was about the city or cops coming by to shut it down/ cause a scene because you know, 500 people swarming a Wendy's breaks A LOT of ordinance codes. The workers who handled that day were champs, but it should not be brushed off how much they were screwed over that day. There was apparently trash everywhere, multiple complaints, and not to mention the cooks had to just keep shuffling out burgers because they didn't know how many people to expect or how massive it was going to be. None of it was city approved and it was a huge rush of customers that came in out of nowhere and a lot of employees weren't even prepared for it."

Game Grumps donates $7500 to Matpat's fundraiser for St Jude Children's Hospital

Arin complains about not getting a Wendy's gamer box

The box was for "Never Stop Gaming" a Twitch stream event and says so right on the box. Arin does not stream on Twitch nor was not part of the event.

Jingle Grumps

Another year of no Nightmare Before Christmas Grumps

Jingle Grump heads appeared in the thumbnail for one episode, the rest had either no Grump heads, or Arin and Dan's real faces

First three videos are labeled, Jingle Grumps 1, 2, and 3 respectively, but then stop at 3 and was later removed from the title.

Healing Horse Charity Stream

Arin streams Kingdom Hearts 2 for his mother's charity, healing horse charity. (The stream cuts off at the 12 hour mark thanks to YouTube limitations. When Arin was told about this, he ignored it, but someone was able to record the rest.)

The stream was advertised to be the entire game all in one sitting, but Arin stopped after 17 hours and said he would continue in January. The stream is still labeled as "IN ONE SITTING!"

Over $86,000 was raised

After some people raised questions about the legitimacy of the charity, people went looking on several charity checker websites to ensure that everything was in fact legitimate. The results came back inconclusive as the charity reportedly makes less than $50,000 a year, so it does not get a rating on most sites. However, when people searched for reviews of the charity, no one was able to find any reviews on any website, despite Healing Horse being open for 9 years, opening in 2011 and Arin claiming that they have helped hundreds of people. The one exception to this was their Facebook page which has received a total 15 reviews.

Questions were also raised about whether the charity was lying on their taxes, and/or that Game Grumps was pocketing some of the money donated. Currently, these claims can not be confirmed or denied. (WARNING: This gets very technical, but I'm going to lay out all the evidence.) 2016 is the year with the biggest paper trail, so that's the year we are going to look at. In 2016, Healing Horse Charity filled out Form 990-N stating that they made less than $50,000 in their Gross Receipts). According to the IRS, Gross Receipts are defined as the total amounts the organization received from all sources during its annual accounting period, without subtracting any costs or expenses and because Healing Horse is a non profit, over three years of age, according to the IRS, in order for the charity's gross receipts to be $50,000 or less, it needs to have averaged $50,000 or less in gross receipts for the immediately preceding 3 tax years (including the year for which calculations are being made), so 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016. The gross receipts for Healing Horse Charity are confirmed $6,780 in 2013, and $45,006 in 2014. In 2015 Game Grumps raised over $70,000 and in 2016 raised over $65,000 (with Vernon stating over $68,000) and the actual number being $68,221.71. Added altogether this equals a little bit over $190,000, which is $10,00 shy from $200,000, as $200,000 divided by 4 would get an average of $50,000. However, this calculation only includes Game Grumps' donation and no other donations for the years 2015 and 2016, and going off the tax forms, they received $2,800 in 2011, $5,557 in 2012, and $6,780 in 2013, which averages out to more than $5,000 a year, and with two years in question, would put it over $200,000 and thus the $50,000 average mark. If this is the case, it would mean either that Healing Horse would be ineligible for Form 990-N, which is what they filed, or a portion of the money raised by Game Grumps is not making it to the charity (And without a receipt, just like the Real Good Touring fundraiser earlier in the year, it is impossible to know whether or not this is true. Not to mention that last year, someone who worked in the Grump office claimed that Arin has done illegal things with money.) If this is not the case though, then everything checks out. While the difference between more than $50,000 and less may not seem that big, other than the potential legal issues, the biggest difference is that any charity that averages over $50,000 must release their records to the public.

Game Grumps Animator talks about behind the scenes

An animator came forward and talked about some behind the scenes stuff working as a Game Grumps animator. According to them, every animator is given a one and a half month deadline per video, regardless of length, and for a two minute animation are paid $800 flat rate if they are new, and $1000 flat rate if they are returning, meaning they get none of the ad revenue. When they mentioned the price they were paid to their animator friends, every single one of them stated that this was way too low for the amount of content being produced, which collaborates with what someone revealed in their behind the scenes experience last year.

"We've reached the golden era of Game Grumps"
Again I apologize for having to do this. I thought I could just copy-paste like last time but apparently so much bullshit happened over this past year that it exceeded both Reddit and the Farms' systems. If a mod is somehow able to combine them all though, be my guest. Because I could not make it work, even after slimming them down to the bare essentials.
