Shots fired after federal police in Minneapolis struggle to subdue man brandishing gun amid protests, video shows​

Shots rang out in Minneapolis early Saturday after federal police tried to subdue a man who was waving around a gun, according to law enforcement sources and video posted to social media.

A 39-second clip showed about half a dozen cops struggling with someone on the sidewalk in front of a donut shop at 26th Street and Nicollet Avenue, when the gunfire erupted.

The officers appeared to scatter after the barrage of shots went off, according to the footage.



The shooting happened after the man brandished a firearm with two magazines, a law enforcement source told The Post, sharing a photo of the firearm.

In a statement, city officials urged residents to stay calm and avoid the area.


“We are aware of reports of another shooting involving federal law enforcement in the area of 26th Street W and Nicollet Ave. We are working to confirm additional details,” the statement said.

More than 100 protesters had been at the scene when the encounter occurred. The man’s condition was not immediately known.





On Friday, protesters yelled obscenities at two people wearing plain clothes who they believed to be agents after protesters claimed their rental car was linked to the incident, according to video reviewed by The Post.

Neither person was an officer.



Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.) posted about the incident on X late morning Saturday as the details of the shooting were still unfolding.

“I just spoke with the White House after another horrific shooting by federal agents this morning. Minnesota has had it. This is sickening,” he wrote.

“The President must end this operation. Pull the thousands of violent, untrained officers out of Minnesota. Now.”


Neither the White House or the Department of Homeland Security have said what precipitated the shooting, and did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

It’s not really undertrained and more in sanctuary cities it’s been signaled you can swarm them. You can’t really train people for that. Local cops aren’t helping them and the opposition is full of underemployed retards who are willing to drive around like Weimar antifa.

What force on Earth is really trained for this? Even riot cops will just start putting boots to asses.
 
They should NOT have been in the way of a GUN. Clearly a lack of training here.

Only sane people can see the contra in that, the average feverish leftist will say it's self defense to preemptively shoot the SS before they shoot you, even if they're just milling around... they aren't rationally grading these incidents because they don't want to.

Even video of the whole thing can't convince them that their side isn't the aggressor, and they don't WANT to be convinced, they decided long ago in their heart of hearts that ICE started it by showing up and any and everything they do is justified until ICE leaves.

Their ideas aren't born of logic, you can't dispel them with same.

They are born of wild unchecked emotion and only the same in response will make them stop, I.E. getting their side shot enough to be unwilling to risk it.

gun taken from the suspect, it's a SIG Sauer P320, this actually used to be the standard issue handgun for ICE until somewhere in 2025 following the ND and safety controversy and switched over to Glock 19's.

who carries a optic-ed up 320 on the strong-side hip to a protest? The most bizarre outcome in the world would be if this guy was some kind of (other)fed/state/local cop and the ICE guys shot him after someone already secured the pistol. More likely is probably that he's a redditor.

edit: open carry or conceal carry, don't go half measures and print the fuck out when you've got a bunch of twitchy feds around

It was always going to be based on what ideology you support then have the evidence fit that conclusion not the other way around. That’s just discourse in the modern day and I doubt it’s even exclusive to America either.

And frankly I cannot even fault people who do it anymore because they’ve been pushed to this point.
