I want to try AC6, but because I am autistic I can't just start from the 6th numbered entry and so I started from the very beginning, currently playing Project phantasma, I liked 1 quite a bit and I find the missions in PP more enjoyable. Overall so far having fun with the seires.

Yeah, good luck with that. As I've described in previous posts here, I made the journey myself as a prelude to AC6, and I can tell you that it's going to take over 200 hours at minimum, more so if you strive for completing every mission, collecting parts, and S-ranking.

Are there any indications of a level having collectable bits like parts/IDs in it, or is it just one of those "get a guide and checkmark it as you go through" deals? I just don't want to miss a bunch of stuff.

As far as I know for chest no there's no indication that they'll be one area

Don't listen to this faggot. If you are planning to play previous AC games then might as well go all the way and the emulation for V and VD are better now iirc so you don't even have to shell out money for used copies.
Don't have to shell out money for V, but most of the game was locked behind having a connection to their servers which are permanently offline; and thus a majority of the content is unplayable.

"Don't have to pay for this shit." - "You get what you pay for."

Don't listen to this faggot, you'll get like 11 to 13 missions and nothing else. Skip it.

From here. Looks like the basic rifles/MGs are getting some early love, with promises for a more in-depth weapon pass in the future.

Having just played AC5 and VD, I found that the remaining single-player content is just about as substantial as any other AC game. The main detriment is just the mission variety.

The filters got filtered?

  • Fixed a bug that caused vertical missiles and certain coral weapons to deal unintended amounts of damage.
Actually an interesting change from the patch notes, I wonder how much more damage coral stuff was doing compared to their intended values?

Still liking how a lot of those guns got a velocity boost, I was hoping for something like that. They just never seemed to apply quite right.

Good job. You missed G1 Michigan and Walter, I loved the conversation after you finished the RLF route of the Dam mission.
I feel bad for forgetting him but I feel much worse for what I did to him. He was right about the cobalt medal. As for the S-ranks, it went something like; slow, slow, quick, quick, slow. I found myself wondering how I wasn't getting them on some, while on others I was saying, "no way that's an S-rank," only to have it pop. The one guy that kept saying, "What makes you so special?" after I'd beaten him so many times, made me laugh. "Look at all the OP shit you have and look at me missing stun-needle and shotgun shots and still getting the S-rank, somehow." I hope they do more with this game or don't have such a large gap of time between this and the next one.

If we're to take their previous work with the series into account; we should be able to say with 100% certainty, this game will be getting a sequel/add-on.

They've done it since the OG Armored Core back on Playstation; and I say sequel/add-on because while it may not be a direct sequel, they always had a import your save data option. Quite literally every numbered release had at least one sequel you could import data to.
