How's the blues/jazz scene? Is it worth visiting on a road trip just for the music?
Not my kind of music, but there's shows almost every night and House of Blues does a lot of blues/jazz. They have a breakfast Gospel event that' really a lot of fun.

Do you have any interesting Katrina stories or insights? It seems like mainstream coverage of it was heavily sanitized and that some sort of minor race war happened.
I have a few stories, there was some wild stuff happening. The director of the World War 2 museum stumbled upon a woman being gangraped in the entrance alcove. There was plenty of violence that was never covered, but very little of it was racial in nature, other than niggers being criminals and getting killed by security guards/cops/homeowners/business owners. Katrina's going to be a whole long separate post. Cynthia McKinney's crazy-eyed conspiracies that FEMA was running a death camp in the swamps was complete bullshit. The city wouldn't be in the shape it is now if anything like that were true.
I have heard people in New Orleans wear bones in their hair like this one Simpsons character and only communicate in grunt noises. Is this true?

Have you ever seen any of Phil Anselmo in NO at any point?
I used to see him out and about a lot and hung out at his house a few times. He had literal stacks of royalty checks he was too depressed to open and deposit in the bank. Really nice guy, but he's got a few major issues.
Is Mardi Gras still based?
Madrdi Gras is only fun for small children, teenagers, and college students. It brings in a lot of tourist money, but it's insufferable to live through every year. Drunk middle-aged tourists are the worst.
What % of black women in New Orleans are fuckable?
Maybe 10 percent, if you're into that sort of thing. Lots of redbones (black and Indian) wandering around town. I never dated a black woman, but I was friends with a few, mostly mulatto chicks. There's a ton of fat black women.
Does it look like it does in Left 4 Dead yet?
Never played it. There's a fair bunch of drug zombies wandering the streets.
Is it wise to practice voodoo and/or worship the devil , considering you choose to live below sea level?
No. The funny part is that almost no one actually does voodoo but bored wealthy middle-aged white women. The one bonus of having a high underground water table is that there are no jewish tunnels. There is a pretty significant Jewish population, going back to when they ran the slave trade. Nowadays they're mostly lawyers, managing the slaves in a slightly different way you might say. I dated a few Jewish girls. But they mostly went to the Jewish high school and I did not, so it was a little tougher to make connections.
