Assassin's Creed thread

I stopped with AC 2 after two copies, from Gamefly, consistently froze my 60GB PS3 during the tutorial. I heard niggers were in the one with Vikings. How progressive.

Only like 50% joking too. Nu-AC puts a lot of retarded magical stuff in their games like weird mounts and i can really see them try to up the Africa imagery.

You know, when I think "assassin," the first thing that comes to mind is a big, bulky viking sneaking up behind people. Now, when I think of medieval Japan, I'm thinking some African samurai reclaiming Japan from its own people. Thanks, Ubisoft.

I am curious about what Japan thought about the old AC games (pre-Origins). Did they like how the ninja-like the gameplay was (stealth, assasinations, spying etc etc) as opposed to ninjas in pop culture that are wizards with face masks and swords? Which games they liked the most? I am trying to find sources but it is hard.

Funnily enough, you didn't actually assassinate people in Valhalla. Eivor even wore that hidden blade of theirs on the outside where everyone could see it. There was sweet fuck-all in terms of assassination in that game.

Yeah, the only reason that Odyssey and Valhalla are "Assassin's Creed" games is so they can cash in on the name.

Neither of the protagonists of these games become Assassins and are only barely in the orbit of the Assassin-Templar conflict.

So is it a Japanese scholar that once larped as Garret or is it Garret larping as a Japanese scholar?
I don't know enough about twitter to know which is which, i have avoided it since it was made and up until like a year ago.
He seems to speak Japanese at least, tho i guess it could be AI.

It's also interesting how most of the comments agreeing are marked as "probable spam".

It's being alleged the guy isn't actually Japanese. His prior account of "Garrett Barnes" (@Parsec_69) has not been archived to my knowledge but if you search this handle on Xitter you'll find replies to his old tweets that link directly to the @Samurai_KenjiYa account.
