Yeah, I'm getting hit with arguments like "chuds only care about historical accuracy when it's people they don't like" and "nobody made a stink about playing a white dude in Nioh". Disingenuous cunts.

The main difference with Japanese things not being historically accurate, such as Napoleon GBA (who has to save the world from anglos literally becoming demons iirc) and Fate (that likes to genderbent Arthur, Nero and other heroic figures), is that they do it under the "rule of cool" and "everyone likes pretty fictional girls". Not for social justice or whatever political gay crap as the main drive.

Nioh is also fantasy pulp, that doesn't even remotely try and pass itself off as "real" hence why no one cares that Yasuke is a samurai in that one.
Nobody likes these borderline half-lies that tries to pass off its inaccuracies as real until they get called out, and then just brush it off as being fantasy.
Either you try to be at least authentic (Ghost of Tsushima, Rise of Ronin) if not accurate, or you go full pulp (Nioh, Dynasty/Samurai Warriors, etc.).

It's also honestly scary how westerners, countering any argument against the game's decision with invented stories like "Yasuke was a samurai" and "Yasuke was an important figure" or some variation of it, are actively trying to change the official records of Oda Nobunaga and the Sengoku period.

The funny this even in Nioh despite the presence of demons and magic and shit the names of the battles/conflicts and the relationships between historical figures are all reasonably historically accurate.

The demonz and shiiet series tries harder than the series that got famous at least initially for being a history sim.

I think it would be really funny if a Japanese studio made a game about the American Civil War where you play as a black Confederate. All they have to say to anyone upset and claiming those never existed would be "stop trying to erase black history."

Hope it fails as it deserves, but Clown World is pretty retarded so it could go either way. I won't buy it. Haven't played any of the games post-Unity and this further encourages me not to.

The arguments where they say, "You'd think it's fine if he was white, wouldn't you?" are retarded. The vast majority of players want a Japanese male, in the same way they were fine with Jin as the protagonist for Ghost of Tsushima.

It's in poor spirit and even poorer form of Ubisoft to make this when it's likely that this game will be the only Assassin's Creed title set in Japan, and the only characters you can play are a woman and a black man - two demographics which probably made up less than 1% of Japan's fighting forces at the time. This might have been accepted as DLC or even in a sequel, but as the only time you get to play in this setting, it's insulting.

I didn't play Valhalla (I haven't played anything past 3), where there any blacks in that game? I honestly don't really care about the inclusion of Yasuke at all honestly, there's more than enough vagueness regarding his history that it's all just fanfiction anyway. I just want well written characters but I don't think you can do it by creating a characters with the intention of focusing on their race first. Make no mistake, Ubisoft choice for Yasuke to be a main character is purely due to the fact that he's the only black in all of Jap history. Come hell or high water we are getting some form of woke shit whether we like it or not.

I do see peoples frustration with the "blackwashing", the type of brain dead nigger that believes in all that WE WUZ shit are the most arrogant, annoying faggots in existence. Be happy with who you are and where you came from.

The only thing that might interest me is if they lean hard into the racist angle, let me play as KING KONG GIGA NIGGA who kill the weak, evil, stupid, slanty eyed Japs with my gook slayer 9000 sword.

Nah, goyslop writing allows either a nigger or a faggot. Since both being a nigger and being a faggot separately are universally considered negative traits, a niggerfaggot would have insulted both niggers (who don't want to be associated with faggotry) and faggots (who don't want to be associated with niggery). Only Straight White (or Asian, at worst mystery meat tanned mixed breed) protagonists are allowed to be turned into faggots or trannies.
