Remember, Valhalla supposedly made one billion dollars in a single year and that game was...well, it ain't Assassin's Creed. Mirage was the third best selling game in Japan the week it came out so I wonder if Shadows will be much lower or if it'll still sell very well, not to mention that it was incredibly successful to begin with by people who never played the original Assassin's Creed games pretending they're long time fans. This outrage will be a whole lotta nothing in the end sadly, because normies are normies and don't give a shit. I wish the port of Ghosts was released later so people can compare them more directly and normies would realize which is the better Japanese Assassin game.

What a terrible product that was. The idea of visiting obscure fights in 1939-1940 was cool but it was just so... lame. The story of course had to kill off a successful in real life squad of British commandos and replace them with some random fucking white woman.

valhalla came during a wave of other viking media which boosted it's numbers. it was also already pozzed (same way I expect this game to be), less people cared back then but now much more people know about ESG and DEI, even more so after the SBI thing blew up.

mirage was advertised as "back to the roots", but beyond that I doubt many people even cared or even noticed. I still see more people talk about valhalla and odyssey than mirage. sales numbers don't mean much depending what else came out that week/month (too lazy to check).

shadows is probably gonna sell, ubisoft does prime grade niggercattleslop, but enough to make up for all the other flops, and not really having anything else in the pipeline?
