I started playing Valhalla this month and love it so much
Pure fucking lunacy. I remember some YouTube video where it was talking about Fallout 4 and how the person spent well over 100 hours in the game to realize he fucking hates that game. That’s how I feel about Valhalla. Fucking bland and disgraceful. If it wasn’t an AC game, it would have been alright, but instead they disgrace the franchise with that shit. Holds none of the core tenants of the franchise.
Pirate Revelations, since it wraps up nicely the story of Ezio. Everything past that is just garbage.
the gameplay of unity was fun. Story was slightly below average and it released with some technical issues but those are pretty much gone now. Plus if you have someone to play it with, the multiplier was pretty fun.
Origins was decent but a lot of people would say it was just mid
origins was trash. Have fun roaming around a huge empty desert. Another game I spent too much time in just to realize I hated it.
Yeah, Syndicate. It's my favorite.
Hang this nigga, what the fuck are you on? That is probably the worst of the franchise. I hope you enjoyed the same three punching animations.

This is going to be dated as fuck, although to be ever so slightly fair, this isn't the only partnership in this update that will age like milk. Diamonds continues to have no good face cards, but that's a topic for literally another thread.

I just really like Victorian era London. I think it lends itself well to the overall themes of greed found in the series. I'm even replaying it right now, that's how much I enjoy it.

I agree with you on Valhalla and Origins, they were dogshit and Valhalla was barely even an AC game.

Nigga you crazy. Parkour is fucking useless since now you just use the zip line. Dog shit social stealth, boring story, has those magical game breaking powers, same 3 punching animations (and boring animations overall), and had a bunch of spongey enemies.

Sure the Victorian era was somewhat interesting, but AC ceased to be AC after unity. They changed it to magical powered Demi god ninja game.

Lmao people are actually still paying to play this shit???
Last good AC was Black Flag and even then BF wasnt even the peak. The RPG shit sucks ass and is just there because Ubisoft lacked ideas and wanted to pad out the game length, not to mention all the retconning of the lore. The games with Greece and Egypt are set 1000 years before the First Crusade and even the Viking age happened before the Crusades as well.
Also then new maps are way to big and empty, I would rather one super detailed city than some big ass open desert plain with nothing to climb.

I bet Nobunaga is not going to be a real bad guy and instead be influenced by some ancient alien bullshit which made him do bad shit so Yasuke and Nobunaga can have some bittersweet ending where he feels bad he couldn't save him.
From what I read Nobunaga being evil is pretty much propaganda, other leaders at the times did the same things or close enough

Last good AC was Black Flag
Wrong child, it was unity. It may have been a shitty launch but it was the last "AC" game. After that they went to the RPG shit. Unity still had a hint of RPG but it held true to the mechanics of social stealth, parkour, and assassinations (not being a one man army)

Today: I'm not allowed to like ACS.

I disagree with you respectfully on Unity being the last good one, but I think Unity was pretty good.

I also liked Mirage recently too, it was a pretty good return to form after the fuckshit that is the RPG-style ones.

To be fair, that is the only one I haven't played (besides the spin offs). It still has the demigod powers which piss me off but I heard some mixed reviews on it which leads me to believe its mid.

My main problem is they changed the series into something it isn't. They've forsaken the creed. I liked Odyssey but it wasn't an AC game. Where is the parkour? (you can climb things but that isn't parkour) Where is the social stealth? (non-existent) Do you really assassinate most of your targets? (not if you don't want to, run in there like the demigod you are) Is there a focus on stealth? (nope let's battle our way out of it) If they would have renamed the series, they could have been mid games. Instead they decided to use the name in order to boost sales on a non AC game.

I disagree with you respectfully on Unity being the last good one,
That's just the last one that I've played that upheld the basic game mechanics. After that one they went for a lot of the demigod battle master shit. At least in unity you had to stealth and weren't a battle god until you'd already leveled your shit up. It had stealth, social stealth, good parkour, decent fight mechanics, while also having slight rpg mechanics and a dense interesting map. Shit like odyssey and origins and valhalla just have empty wide spaces for the sake of "biggest map yet"

Today: I'm not allowed to like ACS.
You can like it, but that don't mean you ain't crazy. Like I said, I think the historical figures were neat and the time was interesting, I just don't think it actually lends itself to an AC game very well.

as
I haven't played a single AC game since brotherhood. Is there a point to even grabbing one of these slop games even at a discount?
Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag is the best pirate game in decades and as embarrassing as it is to admit, i really enjoyed some parts of assassin's creed oddesy when I got it for free on playstation plus

Of what I've played:
AC3 was complete dogshit, the parkour system was boiled down to literally holding the parkour button and pressing forward (at least as far as I played).
AC: Rogue is really good. I think it only got made because they couldn't release Unity on the old consoles, but I really enjoyed it.
AC: Syndicate is fine. The grapple hook mechanic is pretty useless and the dual protagonist gimmick is largely pointless, but it has a few cool levels like a big Victorian hospital.

In conclusion, I'd say definitely play Rogue --and probably Black Flag, because it's apparently great-- but ignore everything else unless you're in the mood for a mindless game to play while you catch up on podcasts or something.

Also avoid Syndicate like the plague if you're an achievement hunter, because the retard devs fucked up the one for destroying objects with your horse and carriage and added an extra zero onto the number, so there is absolutely no way you will get it naturally even if you use vehicles whenever you can. I had to drive round in a circle for hours for that stupid piece of shit.

Okay as someone who played these games all of the time as a kid. Yeah no, you were always a one man army in the old games. From what I see the issue with the new games is you don't even feel powerful anymore because of the RPG mechanics it can take like 20 minutes to kill one fucking guy and the animations are just so bland and boring. It's not engaging or cool just unfun to play all around.

In the old games you were overpowered once you learned the combat mechanics but the kickass execution animations and all the ways you could dispatch enemies made it engaging. Starting with AC3 though they began streamlining the combat system even more which made it even easier to merk everyone if you so chose.
Unity was the only AC game I played where you couldn't do that and you actually had to think about your approach. (Mostly because they nerfed chain executions which made fighting large groups of enemies a piece of cake in previous games.)

I dunno maybe I was just really good at the games or something.

The difference though was the old games actually gave you a choice and on top of that made you feel like a badass no matter which method you chose which from my understanding the newer games don't. (They rarely give you the choice and you don't feel like a badass doing it either.)

I have a a deep resentment about Revelations because they made the Byzantines the enemy, so incredibly gay
What'd you expect from Muzzie worshippers who won't even defend their own kin from the imported rapists?

Pffffff, fitting that they're the Spades. Ubisoft Frogs ever eager to delve deeper into the rancid abyssal pits of cuckoldry.
