At what point did Chris finally snap?

There is no "point" of no return. As with most things, and most individual lives, the development of events and personalities is gradual and sandwiched with many interlocking and concurrent layers.

That is my hoidy-toidty way of saying that Chris is many layers of nuts and no one life event can explain them all.

But if I had to give a top five "points" they would be:
-Chris born with Autism.
-Chris born in Chandler family.
-"Invention" of Sonichu.
-Beginning of the "Love Quest"
-Internet Trolling

But really, no single one alone can account for Chris's mental state and personality.

Come on, it's the trolling. Be real. The manchild evolved from the actual child but he seemed content enough. Just a man lookin' for love writing comics for world peace. He'd probably have kept Megan as a friend, Wallflower, etc. and I think a lack of irl friends has greatly contributed to what might be described as a 'spiral'. No complaints from me, but few people already dealt bad cards have to deal with something like, well, all this.

You'd have a difficult time finding someone more anti-trolling than me, but I don't think you're right. The trolls have certainly not helped Chris's mental state, but the defining aspects of his personality clearly predate him being discovered by the Internet. The early days of the Love Quest prove this: multiple bans from local retailers, awkward run-ins with the law, villainizing authority figures who reprimand him, displaying a nasty sense of entitlement toward Megan and other girls, and so on.

I feel the vast majority of the trolling against Chris was repugnant and unfunny, but you have to get the cause and effect right: Chris's personality isn't a result of trolling, but rather, Chris was prone to trolling because of his personality.

The incident with the teachers seemed to be a turning point, as well as graduating high school and being kicked out of class and starting his Love Quest. Although he was a weirdo, he seemed to be somewhat functional in high school. He sounds no different from the autistic kids I knew in school during that time, only difference is they're functioning members of society now

Also, why do the new videos make me feel like Barb is mummifying in the background? Like juuuust left of camara..
Well, Chris is pretty nuts. Assuming that he doesn't call an ambulance if Barb croaks (either out of denial, confusion, or stupidity), would it be that much of a stretch if he doesn't dispose of her corpse?

Don't get me wrong, I believe that Chris would do the right thing, but you never know with that man(child).

Double down on that sweet tugboat money. Roll up all 'Weekend at Barbies' style.. Amazon wish list update: 1000 pine tree air fresheners.

Even for a forum originally based off of documenting his antics with a motto of "No Shit is Too Minor," this thread seems to be pushing the envelope in terms of "most unnecessary question ever."

As for an answer, Chris never lost it. He's an autist that was pampered and coddled from birth and never given the education nor the help to tackle society in a mature manner. If we were all dealt a full stack of cards from birth, someone gave him a Kuriboh Yu-Gi-Oh card instead and set him off with only that.

I think it was at his high school graduation when things really started to go downhill for the guy. Barely anything good has happend to him ever since.
Well, that always seemed like Chris's version of the story (He did not make Count Graduon for nothing!). To him, High School was the best time of his life.

In most cases (well, most good cases) people don't plateau at high school.

I would not look to that time as a real "turning point" (again, I prefer not to find a single, definitive "there is the sanity loss" moment) because, IMO, Chris had loads of opportunity to make a decent life after high school. He squandered it.

The thing is that the documentation really only picked up post graduation. I feel like 14 yr old Chris was a bit of a rascal. And by rascal I mean easily triggered, flailing chimp with impulse control problems.

That's what I was going to say, since Chris was upset enough that he wasn't awarded those trophies on display at the ceremony, or even mentioned by anyone during their speeches for his accomplishments, such as they were.

He didn't snap that day, but running off crying and getting Bob mad at him for carrying on in public for taking that slight so personally wasn't pleasant for Chris at all.

And as much as Chris has romanticized his high school years, even if he was treated horribly by the other kids, and after finding out that the gal pals weren't genuine friends, he probably never wanted that era of his life to end.
