not sure i would say it is the streisand effect, since that to me always seems more that you actively tell people not to look at something or taking active steps to stop something. this is more just them not releasing information. i kind of lean towards the holding off until interest dies off since it seems that most normies probably dont even remember this event now, it is only us weirdos who still seem to care.

honestly im leaning towards the most likely outcome being that once interest dies down enough they will very quietly release it and hope nobody makes a big deal of it.

I was wondering if they just kept it under wraps until summer so no one would try and repeat it during school time. We'll see what happens.

Most Muslims I know IRL are drinkers, btw, but are serious about not eating pork. Looks like wine is relegated to the same status as not keeping lent in modern Christianity - considered a sin but not a serious one. Also, halal beef is usually better!

Funny thing is, if it would be left at that, I bet most people wouldn't care. Like, "you're a woman if society treats you as a woman" is a somewhat valid sociological take. But the zeitgeist seems to be "you're a woman if you say so". The need to perform and to fit in has actually been obviated. No more need to painstakingly reconstruct your life and apply for document change etc. if you wanna trans your gender - just shoot some DIY hormones, do no other effort, and become radicalized when people don't buy into your delusions, because clearly the only reason for that is that they must be hateful towards you.

Kind of, but the vast majority of normies have short attention spans, releasing it just after the atrocity when they were still talking about it would have caused a lot of people to wake up to how fucked up the Troon Cult is, holding off for a few months means it will inevitably get less exposure and reach fewer people, thats why governments always try to release shit thats embarrassing for them when there are other big stories happening. It is what it is I guess.

TBH, the only real thing I can understand them redacting is the stuff about doing the shooting, if only so it won't be a blueprint for the fuure, like how Breaking Bad screwed with some chemistry aspects so nobody could use the show to learn how to cook crystal meth.

Ok, so that would give some credence to my "best case" assumption on why Covenant would not want the manifesto released.

Not a desire to cover stuff up, but a fear that more troons would be radicalized into action.

That would not deter them. There's actually people out there who relish in the thought of their antics earning themeslves an article on ED or a thread on this site.

Tho now, I thought the only reason why anyone cared about ED anymore was to write stuff about Keffals and the like when the DDOS attacks against Kiwifarms really started in earnest.

There are similarities, and hopefully there will also be similarities to the unfalsification preference shown by Romanians in Dec 89 when they totally showed lack of public support and imprudently opposed communism even against the tanks on the streets.
All the while being quite working class conformist, I might add.
Oh and we still don't have the manifesto. What does one nibba need to do to get one released?
