In fairness to Arizona and the judge and DA assigned to the case, Baked is still only charged with misdemeanors, and due to covid not only does it make the decision to physically arrest or lock someone up more weighty, it could also provide Baked with the plausible deniability he needs to avoid anything harsher than the 3k he had to pay for bail, whether he said he thought he wouldn't need to be an extra body in court considering his lawyer was there to represent him, or he thought it was going to be handled via teleconference. The covid has all types of legal stuff up in the air and being done ways unthought of before. I imagine the Arizona court authorities involved may have also thought they were giving the fed government an assist at, only to find out from them that this is indeed the Year of YOBA, after which they said "fuck it"
