Idk about Wes, the more movies he makes, the more they seem to be a parody of themselves, hes becoming more and more style over substance.

Id say Villenueve is a director whos movie id get excited for, but the corporate slop that was Dune, (next ones going to be even worse) made me think that he left the “I make what i want” phase of his life after blade runner.

And scorsese and scott are remnants of a bygone era ufortunately.

Cameron makes a big budget schlock once every 10 years that everyone forgets in 2 weeks but id say hes still a director that makes his own ideas into movies.

And i cant say anything about Peele because i unironically dont watch his movies cause theres too many nogs in them, but im sure hes a competent director and im happy for him.

Jordan Peele is the millennial Spike Lee yet even more incompetent. His movies are trash. He gets attention because the other black directors, like Ava DuShaniqua or whatever the fuck, are even worse.

The irony of the fact is that Vin Diesel is probably a better director (I've seen some of his stuff) than Jew Jew Abrams. Also, who needs this film, we had Real Steel already in 2011 already.
 
I liked Starship troopers. I saw it as more as an edgy black comedy on US overseas wars.

But it does make sense now.
Humans= Based and Reichpilled.
Juden=brain sucking parasite bugs.
Redditors=mindless attack bugs.
Landwhales= Giant fat artillery bugs.
Trannies= Glittering flying bugs.

Yea, many activist storywriters somehow end up writing this paradox. You write about a society with strong, independent women that hold all the important jobs, but Ken was somehow able to easily and quickly up-end that entire system to the point where even the President of Barbieland enjoys the patriarchy?

You can even apply this to racial politics too, like Yakub. You have a technologically-advanced society run by intelligent black people created by Yakub, and then all of a sudden white people were created and usurped everything.

Or in the comic book series Black by Kwanza Osajyefo where it was revealed that black people with superpowers existed since the 1300s-1400s. If that were the case, how did slavery or any sort of oppression happen?

So...from what I've heard this bodes very ill for any future Narnia adaptations Gerwig will do.

As for the movie itself, I haven't seen it. I'm not surprised it was a feminist soapbox.
 
Having seen the phrase rear it's ugly face recently, people do need to realize Allison Bechdel herself said the "Bechdel Test" was a joke, and not intended to be a serious metric to measure films by.

It's not. The screenplay is ripped almost scene by scene from the Japanese anime OVA that came out nine years before the movie.

Vorhoeven or however it's spelt didn't even read the actual book so it's not like he could have (or would have since if he read it he'd have to question his own motive in making the film) called bullshit.

I recall pretty significant differences between the ova and the movie? And not just "the ovas have the powered suits".
