Fucking Jake Arrieta man. He's taken no-hitters past the seventh his past two starts. He might win the Cy Young for a last place team with his sub 2.00 ERA

Back injuries are bad things. On the plus side, it looks like Scutaro will be back as a bench player sooner rather than later.

Yeah, question is, what kind of shape he's he going to be in when he comes back? But all in all it's good news, I really like Scutaro and I have faith in him having one or two more good seasons :sighduck:

The loss of Dan Uggla makes me a happy boy. The idea of Dan Uggla playing 2nd base for the Giants makes me giddy with joy.

You can have Darwin Barney if you want, he hits just as poorly as Uggla but is the best defensive 2B in baseball.

My thoughts on the Royals being 2.5 games back of the wild card.

Dan Uggla? Really?

Dan Uggla should've retired a year ago. He's always been the worst glove man at second in the big leagues, and his bat is sub-pitcher level anymore.

Javier Baez fucking rules that is all

he swings the bat in slow motion faster than most people swing a bat at regular speed

he's drawn comparisons to Gary Sheffield which I'm ok with especially since Baez is way better defensively.

And the Royals just keep winning. Fuck, if we get in the playoffs, imagining a World Series title won't be too out there.

>That feel when you don't have to look at the Wild Card standings to see how far back your team is.
>That feel when people are seriously talking playoffs for your team.
>That feel when people no longer talk about your team winning the World Series in the same tone when talking about pigs flying.

Feels good to be a Royals fan right now.

3.5 games back from the Dodgers... DO YOU BELIEVE IN THE DREAM?!

Somewhat, if only because L.A. is getting absolutely hammered by injuries right now. The Giants' inability to beat teams over .500 is a major concern, though.

I think the Giants need to play for the division, settling for the wildcard when youre 3.5 games from first place on your division its kinda dangerous, as it can give players an excuse to not perform at 100%. As far as not being able to beat teams above 500., I think its mostly a team chemistry thing, I´m not entirely sure but it seems that most of the "main" players are all back on the roster, if they manage to get the spark back before September, I say theres a big chance for taking the division. However, the Dodgers did something I thought was impossible, they signed even more stars, the amount of talent they have right now is insane so winning the division agaisnt them is going to be pretty hard :(

I do like that they have six games head-to-head in September. Whichever team wins the division will pretty much have to beat up on the other to get it.

>Two straight come from behind wins in the 8th inning or later.

Can't the postseason just get here already before I have a heart attack?
