Big series against Detroit this weekend. I'm going to find a way to watch/listen to all the games come hell or high water.

Let's go Royals!

2.5 back of L.A. with 10 to play. With 7 of those games against the Padres and 3 head-to-head with the Dodgers, a hot streak should be enough to make a run at atl east tying the division. Avoiding that one-game wild card playoff is a big deal.

Well, fucking up horribly against the Dodgers and the Padres sucked, but postseason is postseason. If you'd told me at the beginning of the season that the Giants could be one game away from the NLDS and that it would be a Bumgarner start, I'd have taken that in a heartbeat.

I know it's too early, but I'm picking the A's to win the World Series. Fuck, I'll just pick the playoffs.

AL Wild Card game: Kansas City beats Los Angeles

NL Wild Card game: St. Louis beats Washington

AL Divisional Round:

Toronto beats Kansas City 3-2
Oakland beats Detroit 3-1

NL Divisional Round

San Francisco beats St. Louis 3-0
Atlanta beats Milwaukee 3-1

AL Championship Series
Oakland beats Toronto 4-2

NL Championship Series
San Francisco beats Atlanta 4-2

World Series
Oakland beats San Francisco 4-3

And with the regular season ending today, I'm revisiting this. Holy crap did I get a lot of things wrong. It looks like the only thing I got right was the Royals being in the Wild Card and the Tigers winning the AL Central. So, I'm going to revisit these predictions after the Wild Card round and revise them. Alright. Here goes.

AL Wild Card: Kansas City beats Oakland

AL Divisional Round:

Los Angeles beats Kansas City 3-2
Baltimore beats Detroit 3-0

AL Championship Round:

Baltimore beats Los Angeles 4-3

NL Wild Card: Pittsburgh beats San Francisco

NL Divisional Round:
Washington beats Pittsburgh 3-1
St. Louis beats Los Angeles 3-2

NL Championship Round:
Washington beats St. Louis 4-1

World Series:
Washington beats Baltimore 4-2

EDIT 1: Wow, what an incredible game for the Royals. I'm just fucking thrilled. You know, maybe they might.....eh, who knows, we'll get Yosted somewhere down the line.

Predictions Mark III:

Los Angeles (AL) beats Kansas City 3-2
Baltimore beats Detroit 3-0

Washington beats San Francisco 3-0
St. Louis beats Los Angeles (NL) 3-2

Baltimore beats Los Angeles (AL) 4-3
Washington beats St. Louis 4-1

Washington beats Baltimore 4-2

Holy crap, Giants. From one out away from being shut out to a victory in the longest postseason game in the history of baseball. That was intense.

You know, I picked the O's to sweep the Tigers. I seriously did not see the Royals winning the series against Los Angeles much less sweeping them. I am so stoked for Friday!

The Giants win to go to the NLCS on the same day that the Dodgers are eliminated from the postseason. Fucking beautiful.

Fuck, I'm calling an I-70 Series II: Electric Boogaloo or Cardinals fans have to shut up about Don Denkinger forever.

Kansas City beats Baltimore 4-3
St. Louis beats San Francisco 4-2

Kansas City beats St. Louis 4-1.

Fuck it, I don't care about jinxes anymore.

Holy crap, four games in and it's a 2-2 tie. I forgot how nerve-wracking a good World Series is.

No shit. Good thing I got a lot of good weed, otherwise I'd have had an aneurysm after watching last night's game.

It's tied 3 games a piece Pine Tar.

Edit: Giants win -_-

Madison Bumgarner is probably the best World Series pitcher in mlb history and he's 25. Dude is a fucking mutant. Still more human than Hunter Pence though.

We got next year. We definitely have the AL Central, but we need a backup catcher. Salvy looked gassed as hell down the stretch. And with Shields and Butler looking to be gone, we should try to get a #2 pitcher and a solid Designated Hitter in free agency. Also, give Kelvin Herrera, Wade Davis and Greg Holland as much money as they want.

Not a lot of execs are willing to go hang out in an RV to sign a fantastic manager or cover himself in deer piss to sign an ace pitcher, but Theo Epstein is making me more optimistic about the Cubs for the first time since Mark Prior and Kerry Wood had functioning elbows.
