I don't think BAT gets you a T&H badge. I got mine for donating back when we still had payment processors. I don't really know how to do it now.

When I first started (2 years ago I think), my 5. BATs were worth 20 dollars or something. Amazing how it devalued so much, lol. I wonder if there's any chance of its value going back to what it was before.

I think I sent LiteCoin with a pm with the transaction verification before just doing BAT.

I have doubts BAT will ever get to its old highs for a long time and at best will just hover around 10 and 20 cents until it actually implements some of its features it has been advertising as "coming soon" for years and it grows its ad echo system (I kind of find it ironic that null is the only verified creator I've ever seen try and promote it to his audience given how much he hates normal advertisements with a passion)

It won't, this is the life cycle of low cap altcoins. Peak during euphoria season, then dump for years and flatline forever.

The only chance they have of coming back is dropping their partnership with Uphold and going with a good paired wallet that doesn't require KYC. They cucked too hard on the privacy issue. Plus Uphold isn't even available in all 50 states.

IIRC, to be able to even see ads and earn bats now, you have to connect to either Gemini or Uphold, so it got worse.

They made a change a while ago in which they removed the offline wallet. You could still see ads and enable the auto contribute to donate to the sites/creators you visited. That's what I did. Maybe they changed it again recently? IDK.

Reddit and discussion forums were flooded with "please sir how do I redeem?" after they turned on KYC. Apparently there was a big problem with Indians doing ad fraud, using VPNs and multiple accounts to steal US BAT share. In a perfect world they would stop that with technical countermeasures, but they are a small team and I guess they got tired of playing whack a mole.

I have the same situation... What's the best way out of this? I have like 15 BAT. Used to donate them to KF but now I can't. Do I have to do KYC to get them? Seems like a crypto scam to force me to sign up and give ID and open an account with some shady company.

I watched the ads - imo there was a contract. I should get paid for them. Fuck the SEC and the central banks.
 
I've been trying to get my account connected so I don't lose the like $10 in BAT I've accumulated over the last couple years but my account's been flagged for suspicious activity. From what I've read it might be because I've used a VPN (just as normal course of using the Internet, not to game the ads). I filed an issue with them, but from what I've heard I don't know if it'll be productive.

Not posting to solicit help, just thought I'd mention it in case anyone else tried to do the same.

EDIT: update - just last night I received an email indicating that my account has been unflagged. However, they claimed that any BAT I received while my account was flagged wouldn't be transferred. It didn't seem like I lost any so I don't know if that's really the case (or maybe I didn't earn any while I was flagged?) So for anyone with the same issue as me, it's probably worth filing an issue to get your account unflagged if you're planning on linking it to a custodian wallet.
