$ (BAT) Basic Attention Token

Keep in mind, this latest spike is likely due to an increase in BAT purchases due to a recent partnership with Solana. This could be another spike/drop like previously, or it may be a rise from speculative, new buyers. If it's mainly due to new purchasers, they may hold their new asset, which could make the drop less likely. Or it could drop back to under $1 in an hour, because crypto markets are weird.

BAT's really going off today after some stagnations. Probably won't last long, but it's nice to see. I'd like to move my BAT over to a different exchange but I find Uphold to be a bit confusing.

I also wanted to ask, has anyone else stopped receiving ads on desktop? I'm still getting them on mobile but I haven't gotten any on my desktop browser since about mid-October. I've checked my settings and everything and I'm still set up to receive ads.
This is gonna sound weird, but on desktop I stopped getting ads I could click; but when I click the triangle and check my numbers, it was recording me clicking ads. The payout wasn't as high as when I was manually clicking ads, but was still paying out every month. This was over a year ago. Then a couple months ago with a new update, clickable ads started showing up again, lasted for a couple weeks, then disappeared. Still saying I'm clicking ads and putting BAT in to pay out.

I'm not sure what the issue is, but you're not the only one.

Have the same issue as well, pretty much given up on getting ads to work again. Seems others on braves forums have had this issue as well, brave doesn't seem to be doing anything about it though.

I did the move from uphold to Gemini and let me tell you uphold is just a mess if you want to move shit off it, what I ended up doing was turning my BAT to litecoin and then sending that over to Gemini lost about 10 bat doing that. It might be cheaper and easier to just cash out of uphold into dollars and then rebuy on Gemini.

In the latest desktop version can't you just automatically connect your BAT now from brave rewards to Gemini and transact that way?

It will make it so new bat deposits go to Gemini but if you were already using Uphold you have to do it yourself. If you never activated uphold it will go straight to Gemini when you activate it.

So has anyone who has had the issue lately regarding not getting ads on desktop started getting them again? I still haven't had one since about a month ago. My settings are still set up so that I should be getting them (the max of potentially 10 per hour) and I reside in a location where I should have no shortage of them coming in. I'm still getting plenty on my phone which is connected to my desktop wallet and it says I've received 152 ads this month (I haven't even earned 1 whole token from all of that though lol.)

Edit: on my phone it now says I'm up to 157 ads seen this month for a total of 0.937 BAT.

What is kinda weird to me is that the amount of ads that I get is very inconsistent, since I chose the max amount of ads per hour (10), but I never get that amount in a hour, I have 96 ads viewed this month but it should be way higher.

That makes things weirder to me since I finally got one full token today and my amount of ads is way less

Sold at 1.20 a few weeks ago and got too lazy to buy back. Even when I win I lose, story of my life with BAT.

Why on Earth is it up 46% right now?
The only thing I can find that could explain it is that Regal, a U.S. theatre chain, announced that they're going to be accepting it as payment alongside a bunch of other crypto. Between that and someone or something buying up big chunks and spiking the price regularly for the past little while I guess that was enough to court the big boost we're seeing.

Seriously contemplating cashing in. I'm generally a holder, but this spike is pretty nice.
BAT is weird.
I sold everything I had close to the peak of this latest ATH... But I'm actively looking to get back in when it's reasonable to do so, just because I find it to be legitimately useful as a currency and I keep making money on it. That really isn't something I would've ever expected from a token they literally give away for using a web browser/dealing with some ads.
