I used to obsess over victories in some of the earlier Battlefields. I don't remember if there was a large payout to winning or not, but you could switch teams in BF3 which was heavily abused (by me too, fuck some of those teams).

Nowadays I care less about the victories and more about my performance, which may be less of a team player, but teams are generally less coherent than they used to be. If I have a reliable medic on hand I'll follow them into hell, but I generally pick my fights (assault positions, avoid tanks when I'm Assault, hold a position if I expect a counterattack, etc.) and ignore the attrition. I've saved a few games from defeat and I've probably lost more from not blindly running into the killzone as much, but I don't get bent out of shape when we lose since there's no longer any incentive to be upset.
Ditto. It feels like you only have two options in the multiplayer shooter space now:
Schizo run and guns that are glorified team deathmatches (Call of Duty, Battlefield)

Tryhard spergfests where you lay prone in the desert or forest for two hours while some autismo talks with his buddies in the command chat before remembering that his squad is waiting for orders. But by God if you get up and try to do something you'll be banned from the clan's entire server network and any others that share their banlist (Squad, Project Reality, ARMA)

I want some kind of inbetween where it feels like things are cohesive but I don't have to make the game my life to get any enjoyment out of it. The closest I experienced to that was Red Orchestra 2 a decade back.

I'd say just play BF2, but it's not very active.

I seriously hope they dump a bunch of maps from previous battlefield games and give the balance the 4 treatment soon. These maps and the codnigger TTK are killing my enjoyment. I'm bored of every single map and even when I go 48-6 I feel nothing but contempt for the game because I'm running around with a cod laser beam. I just wanted BF4 volume 2 and instead I got CoD MW 2019 with more vehicles.
The more I think about the state of the balance and the game in general the more I realized how much time and effort they spent on their gay fucking battle royale and the surrounding cosmetics. I'm 100% certain it's why the pistols are so fucking cucked even though having a decked out pistol would almost no difference in the real game. You wouldn't want little Timmy getting his shit rocked by a guy with a kitted out pistol at the start of a battle royale game, after all. They clearly wanted redsec to draw in all the cod retards who will spend $24 on a skin bundle full of bullshit and no aesthetic cohesion with the game because it doesn't matter in the context of redsec. I don't enjoy doomposting but man as soon as that battle pass and battle royale dropped they really showed their ass and it's making me sad.

Battle royales combine the worst of both aspects. Try to flank an unsuspecting enemy, you're left waiting several minutes for the numbers to thin only for one person to get a lucky shot and then game over.

The Saiga does ridiculous damage to Sabotage objectives, killing the small boxes in 2 shells and the medium boxes in 4. This brings Support to the complete top of the Sabotage food chain, with grenade intercept, unlimited smokes and now a primary that out-DPSes the RPG7 on objectives except at range. This is meaningless because they nerfed the Cali Resistance quest to 30 resupplies instead of 300 and we can play good modes again.

Also the DB-12 is worse than garbage lmao

There is a free multiplayer trial for Battlefield 6 until December 2nd.

First match was a Conquest in Blackwell Fields. I managed to hit a descending helicopter across the map with a designated rocket turret first try. My first "only in Battlefield moment."

This shit is so gay lol, these challenges aren't hard at all. The average player is just too fucking stupid to figure it out. Equip the ammo bag gadgets, play only Blackwell farms and it gets done quick. 30 is a joke lol

Also I have done some testing. slug rounds are underrated. up close a pump action slug can one shot, and long range two shot. its a gimmick but works.

Another thing is weapons seem to have unique recoil patterns that vary efficacy. the SCAR is actually super consistent in this way if you ADS. The M4A1 is great because of its ROF. ROF wins close up encounters. however recoil pattern choice wins mid range encounters, and horizontal or diagonal recoil patterns can ruin long range bursts.

The Trigger upgrade is useful in semi auto if youre using say a carbine at long range. try it for yourself.

Weapon usability is like BF4. Later unlocks and newer weapons are usually the best.

The UMP is underrated because it has low ROF but that means it also has consistent recoil.

Kord is good. Ak carbine is ok. Tavor on PC is trash. Bullpup carbine on PC is trash.

Theres no reason to use the fiveseven when the m18 pistol does more damage at almost the same recoil. Glock is a beefed up M18. low recoil pistols are better at range. The 8 shot 357 is actually really great hipfired, ridiculously low bloom there.

DEDICATED LEAN KEY IS ACTUALLY USEFUL AND VIABLE. TRY IT TO CHECK THOSE CORNERS.
If you use light and laser combo, you can set both to different buttons. I use scroll up and down.

1.00x red dot magnification is the superior non magnified reflex sight option.

LMG either the ultimax because consistent damage, or the FN evolys because high ROF but low recoil.

The COD4 of this game means suppressors are superior muzzle attachment.

Support class feels weak, but supply packs can instantly give health which is overlooked. M14 is not worth a damn. P90 is for people who can't aim. The SIG XM277 sucks and also is not good in the game. Flashlights suck. Flashbangs suck, just use a frag.

The airburst incendiary is basically a gimmick...however the airburst and incendiary shotgun are both funny if you are being camped and shoot campers.

Once you have a javelin lock you can fire the projectile up, down, left, right it doesn't matter as long as the launch has space it will hold lock. Don't give the secondary gunner the grenade launcher. the heavy machine gun does 33 damage per shot. Decoy snipers are underrated but uhm acktually spotting gadgets are the best.

As usual the best weapon is still proper teamwork and gadget usage. But the SL9 for example makes up for a lot of that.

Do you unlock weapons through rank or challenges?
Yes. There's a few that are unlocked by rank but right now most are locked behind challenges or the Battle Pass tiers.

However, if you manage to unlock a weapon preset before the actual weapon (Warfighter for weapon rank 10, for example) you can equip a weapon early, although you will be limited in what attachments you can use.

I love how AI or edited error messages are just appearing everywhere for people to believe.
it's funny to see and only outside the realm of possibility if you know that shit can cause a lawsuit, else they would totally do that.
other than that, still funny and a poke at the retarded corporate safespace status quo.

I don't get it. They're within their rights to limit or revoke access of their game based on violations outlined on their terms of use. If you'd know their communication channels are monitored and logged for that purpose, why freely use it then act surprised of the result?

not acting surprised, pointing out the retardation and calling it retarded because it is retarded, therefore funny.
fuck the TOS, fuck the niggers that wrote the TOS and fuck kikes.

Well, I don't want to grind out hundreds of repeated activity for a limited time event just so they can pad out player engagement.

Kord is good. Ak carbine is ok. Tavor on PC is trash. Bullpup carbine on PC is trash.
The kord is top tier, the qbz is extremely solid, the tavor is hilariously powerful regardless of input, and the grot is also very solid. You have no idea what you're talking about.
The UMP is underrated because it has low ROF but that means it also has consistent recoil.
The UMP is rated exactly where it is because it's fucking terrible. Recoil means nothing when every gun is extremely accurate and the abysmal ttk gets you killed at every range that matters. The ultimax is bad for the same reason. Low recoil doesn't matter because almost every gun has low recoil but can actually kill things in close quarters, which most of the maps are oriented towards.
Support class feels weak
My nigga you are off your shit. Support is the strongest class in the game.

My nigga you are off your shit. Support is the strongest class in the game.
Why?
Recon you can spot the entire map with a drone, or paint targets. You can also shoot a guy across the entire map with a sniper.
Assault, while weaker on large maps can carry 2 main weapons, and the spawn beacon which helps doing conquest captures behind enemy lines.
Engineers can blow up vehicles.

Support can rez people, resupply, block incoming munitions...but that means you are dependent on the other classes. Many times I've played with a weak team and used the drone to boost the entire team's skills by marking every enemy on the map. Its a huge boon for the team. Engineer, if you take out all the enemy's vehicles and repair your own consistently, you can strongpoint a section and hold it.

Its a toss up between Assault and Support for which one is weaker, compared to the sharp edge of Recon and Engineer.

Your comments on the UMP and Ultimax are telling, I think you might just play small map modes exclusively if you think this. Or maybe youre just bad?
