Zampella's restructuring seemed to be EA's last ditch effort to wrangle DICE back into a functioning state; with their most successful lead gone I don't see the series having much of a future. 6 is still half-baked and they desperately need someone to head up a years long unified vision for it that I just don't think the eggheads behind the smouldering wreck that is 2042 are capable of.

RIP Battlefield, you almost a shot.

Yep the franchise is done. He was the only one preventing EA and the swedecucks from coming in and mutilating it into another homosexual hero shooter with gender monsters and shit like V and 2042 were. Now that he's gone you can 100% expect them to add LGBT clown skins and Seth Rogen and other garbage as soon as they can.

On one hand, it fucking sucks because the original Modern Warfare trilogy was awesome and it's awful his 3 children won't have their father. BF6 did have some fun to had as well.

On the other hand, get fucked EA, it's time to be filled to the brim with pajeets and start collapsing slowly like Microsoft currently is.

Is that good? Bad? 100k concurrent players for a multiplayer game isn't something to ignore. You'll still be able to connect to matches.

The all-time peaks for V and 2042 were 116k and 107k respectively. To have an average player count that is roughly as good as the best your previous games ever reached seems healthy to me.

Well, BF6 created an uphill battle with itself from its initial launch period. Its SteamCharts all time peak was ~650,000. Now it's at 107k. What does that tell you?

I don't understand.

You asked if 100k was good or bad, and I gave you my answer. Following that up with, "well ackshually it's not!" makes me wonder why you bothered asking at all if you had already reached your own conclusions on it.

I'm not a data analyst; my impression was that first-person shooters typically don't stay with massive player counts for long, and the last few CoDs all experienced similar dropoffs. If there's a more thorough breakdown by an expert I'd view it, preferably authored by someone who wasn't saying that CoD was "too big to fail" earlier this year.

As someone in the OCE region, the player counts feel a lot healthier compared to past Battlefield titles. Normally the less popular, smaller game modes will be completely dead within weeks of release. Then soon after that it will be really only Conquest that can reliably be played. I think I managed to play Firestorm once or twice. Then it was dead and I never managed to play it ever again. But with BF6 I can any game mode 2.5 months after release. Other than for the Winter Offensive, I've only played handful of Conquest matches. I'm so over years of Conquest, Conquest, Conquest it feels refreshing playing other modes for a change.

Regardless if a game is good or not. A natural decline will always happen. Although having a consistent ~100k players is pretty good.

That said, supports in bf6 are fucking dogshit and dont revive. Either im unlucky or they are shit at their role.

Barring some MCC-tier clusterfuck of a launch this should be a given.

Though I think that the game has too many modes that are way too similar to each other and still no good TDM maps.

That has been Battlefield tradition for ages.
