Bayonetta 3 - What Moon themed song they gonna pick this time

I personally want to know what kind of hair style she'll have in the next game.

Her look in 2 was hot hot hot.
probably some gay shit like this

I’m hoping it’s long again, I’m in the minority in that I wasn’t really a fan of the short cut. I think it’d be neat if her color scheme was purple too. This mod is a really good design IMO.

Honestly I’m not surprised there was still no news. No idea what Kamiya’s doing but he’s been weirdly tight-lipped and deflective about the whole thing.

Is he even part of the project as producer or something?

I know when people asked him about Platinum things he's not working on he ignores them or tell them to go away.

What has it been? 5 years? At least with Prime 4 we know they started oer with it, but something with what's hapening with platinum tells me they are re working the game to be on other devices.

Atleast Nintendo is transparent enough to tell us that the version of Prime 4 was not good enough and it had to be rebooted. Platinum just goes radio silent and the dev gets butthurt when people ask about it considering it has been 4 years. 4 years should be way more than enough to make Beyonetta 3.

Someday... :c

I haven't played the second one though.
It has its charms. Helena Taylor, Grey Deslile, Yuri Lowenthal, and Dave Fennoy all return. The costumes and weapons are great. The soundtrack is also good although the singer for Moon River and Tomorrow is Mine is a little too young for it imo especially compared to Helena Noguerra. Also Crispin Freeman makes a return to voice over work. (Was there not a period he was strangely absent? Or Troy Baker stole his roles?)

The biggest gripe by far is Jeanne getting shafted in favor of Loki. Goddamn Loki. He is the fucking worst but unfortunately relevant to the plot. It does not help that he is voiced by a gaysian doing a piss poor attempt at an English accent. The funny thing is Grey Deslile does a MUCH better English accent for Jeanne.

My hope is he isn't in the third game and Jeanne gets promoted to (story wise) fully playable. As in her and Bayo are the leads and the ones you control during the story. (Not talking about her being playable in both 1 and 2 because...it doesn't count since she is essentially a bonus)

I love Bayonetta, it's such a fun game.
I can only speak for the first game, but enemies are scaled perfectly on Normal. They show enough frames to telegraph their attacks and unlike Devil May Cry, they fixed the dodging mechanic to be reliable. No more "Why'd I jump?! I was trying to roll!" In comparison to another Platinum Games game, I enjoy Nier Automata, but the leveling system messes with the game's balance like mad. Either the enemies are over-leveled and can 1HKO you (even on hard) or you're overleveled and you 1HKO them.

Bayonetta is quite possibly their best game series because its mechanics are so rock solid.

I want to know what the hell happened with the Gran Blue game platinum was working on. I mean that was well before Bayonetta 3 was ever announced and it was supposed to tie-in to the fighting game. But the fighting game came out, died and no word on the action RPG game.

I heard they got removed from the project, which is never a good sign. Final Fantasy 7 Remake initially had Cyber Connect 2 working on it but they got removed and then a whole shitshow of gearbox style mismanagement was found with the company and misappropriated funds.

My only real complaint about 1 is that some of the enemies are needlessly obnoxious, especially if you aren’t playing WiiU or Switch versions. The flaming enemies that can’t be hit outside of witch time or by fire durga are dumb, as are the black and white versions of the enemies that weapon is based on that don’t trigger witch time. The entire game is built around that mechanic, so why have them do that especially when you already have a difficulty that does that for everything?

I think I also liked how magic worked in 1 vs 2 despite thinking 2 is otherwise a better game. Having it be an actively managed resource that you’d use for missiles, or drones, or a shield, or a doppleganger ala dmc3’s style, or teleports, or instant wicked weaves was better than Umbran Climax. I know most of that is still in 2, but the aoe devil trigger makes most of it redundant.

Flame units can be hit by ranged attacks like the whip (so long as you don't grapple) or by shooting them by holding down the gun (NOT X) button. I'm pretty sure Fire Durga works as well, and the ice skates also do damage and protect against lava floors

Also, it's a popular misconception that Bayonetta is about Witch Time and it's apparent on Infinite Climax where it's disabled. The secret is the dodge offset where you hold an attack button down, dodge, and then continue the combo anyways. And figuring out the Durga-Bazooka attack string. The game throws Witch Time immune enemies on lower difficulties to introduce the idea that you can't Witch Time every enemy.

All that being said, I do love the Witch Time mechanic, so I understand getting annoyed when it doesn't work.
