Yeah, they’re the worst. Hey dummies, all Rubin does is just talk to people he already agrees with and runs away from anyone who might challenge him. He’s not presenting any new or interesting ideas at this point and he’s not a great mind, he’s just a bootlicker to a bunch of basic bitch anti-SJWs and boomer-tier conservatives. The stuff he talks about now is the same stale shit he was talking about back in 2016. I can’t believe there are still people out there who prop him up as some kind of messiah.
I like the format of Rubin's show. There aren't many long-format interviews where an actually interesting guest (the guy who organized the DHS under Bush was a very good guest, for instance) is allowed to clearly put their points of view. Adversarial interviews are important but there's also a space for actually listening to your guest. Rubin allows that. But as a commenter and contributor himself I've never seen him add anything. And worse, I saw part of his stage show where an articulate student from a Left Wing position stood up and challenged him on his views and he just went to pieces. Started saying crap about how she was probably too young to understand certain terms - blatant ad hominim the moment he realised he was on the back foot and whilst he might have had a supportive crowd who cheered him along, it was obvious to the girl (and to anyone watching on YouTube) that he was violating every noble thing he'd professed about reasoned debate and willingness to listen to his opponent.
I should probably dig it out - it was really dreadful and showed his true colours when he's actually challenged.
