Better Call Saul

I was about to ask why they didn't just air all thirteen once a week like normal, until I remembered Bob Odenkirk had a heart attack so they probably wouldn't have everything finished by then. Glad he was able to finish the series and that he's doing better.
They did this with the last season of Breaking Bad, too. I'm not a particular fan of that. Apparently he nearly died and probably would have had he gone back to his own trailer, but instead he went to Rhea Seehorn's and coded out there. They had to resuscitate him.

Jesus fucking Christ. I hope he's well now. Didn't know it was that bad.

Wasn't the break between halves of the final season of Breaking Bad pretty much a full year?

I'm not sure why they didn't just call it two separate seasons other than how they could rev up the "final season" hype train twice. Compared to that, the few week break between halves of the final Better Call Saul season isn't that much of an interruption.

They are calling it a single season. But it won't be a year between them at least.

Maybe that was the original plan, but the Coof caused them to film the last two series simultaneously, then release them close together. Bob Odenkirk nearly dying probably made it a sure thing because they want them awards.

It’s rather appropriate that it will end up having the same amount of seasons that Breaking Bad had. I think Vince Gillian really was on to something.
I think having a definite end in mind does wonders for keeping the writers from going off on wild tangents. Every episode is designed toward moving you closer to that inevitable end.

Not sure about Breaking Bad. But they did that with Sopranos I think. HBO wanted another season after the 6th. But I think alot of people wanted it to end after 6 seasons. So HBO doubled the number of episodes for the final season. Calling them final season part 1 and final season part 2, so HBO got another season out of them without calling it another season.

Kim is wonderful and probably my favorite female character in television. I hope they don't kill her off.

I have doubts she'll be killed off, at least on the faith that the writers remain focused on a satisfying conclusion and not reliant on cliche deaths. What I think WILL happen? She'll be forcibly sent off to somewhere else for her own good, safety and such. It'll probably be a painful thing to watch, and she'd be wracked with paranoia, but it'll be something for Jimmy to swallow his pride over.

It's still hard to imagine her getting out of this alive. I fear something involving her is how Jimmy ended up the empty husk of a man he was in BB.

Then there's Nacho.

Kim is the only character in any property that I hope Current Year saves.

As much as I love Nacho, he's a dead man.
