Lolcow Bill Norton Olsen Code Red DVD - Plus David DeFalco Dark Force Entertainment.

From the 7/25 livestream:

df stream 1.JPG
After doing his wrestling intro, Defalco shows this crude photoshop announcing that Bill is in another hospital.

In case you're wondering "Who is running Code Red now?" It's mostly Kino Lorber.

2:00 Dave calls up Bill. Bill is almost completely incomprehensible. WTF is going on with him where the beetus would cause your brain to rot? Dave has put Bill in an Air BnB temporarily.

4:30 Defalco announces that the release of Hundra will go to the "Bananman Relief Fund" to support Bill while showing the cover:

df stream 2.JPG

Bill also announces the flick Weekend Murders (I never heard of this one) and a Dark Force bundle.

6:00 Dave shows more of Bill's rotting legs and his gimp arm:

He goes on to say that Bill hasn't been moving at all and Dave (rightfully) scolds him for not even attempting it. He reveals that Bill undergoes dialysis more than 3 times a week. Defalco say's the Dark Force store will be open soon.

17:30 Bill asks about the Joe D'amato porno films but doesn't follow up. He answers a question from the chat that he's always in pain now.

24:00 Bill apparently has face cam going and Dave goes all "Awww, the cute dog is there!" It's a different dog from last time. It's a new puppy.

30:00 Defalco shows off his expensive apartment one more time before ending the stream.

Reactions: The Cunting Death
Between the forum being down and relatively nothing going on with DeFalco/Olsen I forgot to update the thread. Bill is in another nursing home and DeFalco (if it isn't obvious by now) is obviously exploiting him to sell Blu-rays.

DeFalco insists that this current facility is temporary.

Darkforce1.JPG

Less than a minute in, Bill isn't even conscious. DeFalco taps him on the head to wake him up and calls him William.

1:10 "It's not very good folks. We're trying to resurrect him with these 4K releases, right?" Bill mutters in agreement.

1:40 DeFalco asks Bill how his legs are doing "Pretty bad."

Darkforce2.JPG

2:00 DeFalco asks Bill if he wants to get out of here, Bill weakly say's "Yeah." And the only way to do it is to buy Blu-Rays... All this while Bill still eats candy and fast food. There's a Subway bag on the counter. Bill can barely move his good arm now.

3:40 DeFalco promises to give the proceeds to Bill and get him into a new place and a physical therapist. While going over all of this DeFalco still checks himself out during the stream:

Darkforce3.JPG

There's not much else to say. Bill stammers, DeFalco prods him to move and uses Bill's condition to sell Blu-Ray's. That's it.

Another update. This time from a hospital.

Defalco hypes up Bill's reappearance and calls him the Sheik.

bill dead eyes.png

Bill maintains this dead eye stare while rarely blinking throughout the 7 minute video. His dead arm is not much better.

bill dead eyes 2.png

Defalco gets very unflattering shots of Bill's undies and/or diaper. Defalco warns everyone including labels like Vinegar Syndrome that the Banana Man is back. Dave asks Bill about The Dead Pit and he responds "Once they're gone they're gone."

Defalco goads Bill to show his ultimate strength by raising his left arm and weakly making a fist.

"He has been resurrected folks from the dead. Yes, it is a miracle."

bill dead eyes 3.JPG

Bill continues to have this dead eyed zombie look throughout the video. I don't even think he blinks. He manages to move his legs slightly. Bill/Defalco announces new Code Red 4K's including the 1981 Scream (which is an absolute dog shit bottom of the barrel slasher that isn't even funny bad).

The whole video is right out of David Lynch. It seems like Bill is either on drugs or semi-catatonic and is struggling to stay sitting up. Bill is STILL drinking sugary drinks and a Redbull can can be seen on his table.

bill dead eyes 4.JPG

"We will exert the iron hammer!" Defalco as he flexes his arm.

The stream abruptly ends when some nurses enter and asks to have a word.

UPDATE:

Bill has died.

I am updating as I go.

I'm just going to say, call me heartless, but I cannot feel bad. This man was an uncaring asshole. I'm not saying he deserved to die for putting out Blu-ray's of cult movies with sub-standard quality and fuck you marketing. But I refuse to feel bad.

Edit:

Video opens with Defalco seemingly fake crying that Bill has died.

2:20 DeFalco admits that Bill's brother Walter "had issues" with DeFalco.

3:00 another guy is brought on the stream. I've never seen this guy before. I think he's DeFalco's employee?

"No one loved movies like this guy loved movies." Some guy.

Are you sure about that, bro? Must I link the interview on YT where Bill doesn't give a fuck about any of the movies he licensed? The guy tries to praise Bill as a cult movie archivist when -again- in the interview he very clearly did not care about the movies and just saw them as something cheap and affordable for him to acquire.

9:40 "If there was a hall of fame for collectors of cult media, he would be in it."

Eh...

DeFalco admits Walter never liked him. This other dude talks about keeping Walter alive.

12:50 Dude signs off. It's DeFalco from here on. Not much else of relevance is said.

Seeing a lot of comments praising Bill as a cult movie guru, an archivist and "a unique individual" who released movies that no one else would have. Yeah, because he grabbed the POS bottom of the barrel titles that were cheap. Night of the Dribbler and the 1981 Scream are garbage films. Eventually someone would have released them on Blu, probably Vinegar Syndrome or another startup and they would have most likely done a better job.

It cannot be emphasized that this man did not give a single fuck about movie preservation or even liked any of the movies he put out.

Walter is now hosting a Go-Fund Me for 15K for burial costs of Bill. A large chunk of the expenses has been transporting Bill's body from L.A. to Washington.

Shocker: Bill was only 54.... I thought he was much older and at least 65 or maybe closer to 70.

How did he deteriorate so rapidly anyway? He went from kind of normal looking at the beginning of the thread to looking like one of the zombies in the worst movie he ever sold, with about as much brain activity.

Hardcore diabetes and horrifically bad dieting. He fully understood he had diabetes but kept eating garbage anyway.

I worked with a guy like this.

He was a manager and once I was trying to get ahold of him with no answer.

I forget what the issue was but it was pretty important at the time.

After calling his phone and overhead paging him multiple times I found him passed out in the manager's office b/c his blood sugar was too low.

I wanted to punch him.

Holy shit this thread, I wish I had seen it earlier. Nice work. All I know about Bill is that his releases sucked dick, that everyone at almost every other company who do restoration/release of grindhouse and exploitation looked down on him, mostly because he didn’t care about the films he screwed with at all; when it came right down to it they were blatant about HATING HIS GUTS. In a real extreme kind of way. Some people out of Austin and Seattle come to mind straight off but name any company; they’re not unhappy with this turn of events. I feel for Walt, but wow. Truly amazing.
