So when I hear people saying that I've sold out to the feds because I won't allow shooting threats, when I see brainlets who do not understand the difference between hosting a shooting that happened on Facebook and hosting a (theoretical) shooting that could be announced on this website, I get infuriated. I get angry because I saw what happened with 8chan, and I saw how /pol/ and the child model posters took Fredrick's idea of libertarian speech and pushed it so far that it reached a breaking point. And when Fredrick tried to reign them in, they became arrogant and entitled. After all he did for them, it was never enough, and they were never thankful for it. It broke that site, and it broke Fredrick. He came to the realization that not rocking the boat was profitable and easy, whereas rocking the boat is expensive and difficult.

Think of what happened to the gaming community, pre-Gamergate and post-Gamergate: Back in the mid-2000s, years before Gamergate happened, gamers invited left-wingers into the community because they had to fight off Jack Thompson and his band of bible-thumpers. They thought they could counter anti-gamer right-wingers by allying with left-wingers. Years later, the left-wingers turned on the gaming community when they let the tranny-worshipping, sex-negative feminist SJWs take over.

Then look at what happened post-Gamergate. Gamers had to fight left-wing SJWs during the Gamergate days, so gamers in the pro-Gamergate boat ended up allying with every right-winger on the block in hopes of "counteracting" the SJWs. They thought they could counter anti-gamer left-wingers by allying with right-wingers. After that, the pro-gamergate faction gets taken over by race-baiting, hardline alt-rightists who care more about sucking Trump's dick instead of actually protecting videogames.

When you allow people to play politics in your community, especially partisan politics, you inevitably end up attracting retards whose goal in life is to take over so that they can push their respective political agendas on everyone else. Once they do take over, there is no way you can control their behavior. You can't expect it to not happen unless you specifically cultivate your community to be hostile to political discussion of any kind.

Moral of story and in other words: Don't be like the spergs at OneIrateGamer where they sperg out about any censorship well, only the ones they are interested in, that is and tried to be pro-free speech and refused to ban people. This might sound like a good thing because zero censorship and you can post whatever you want without being suppressed, but they got themselves into hot soup due to two things:

1. The comment section was such a shithole that their comments section got removed bc Disqus received complaints about how the comments section was about how they blamed jews and niggers for anything (sounds familiar?)

I came here to make fun of furries and watch amber/twinky. I hate that everything is political and not in a way were you can just talk about it. Its to the point now, where ever I go online its "pick a side" or else. I feel here I can chill, up until this year. I think the riots didn't help. Even I lurked there quite a bit.

Those posting about how Sig's fedpost was in Deep Thots therefore A&H&N&H&N isn't the problem miss the point entirely. The very fact that post was made outside A&N&H shows that the retardation is spreading, and that the posters who joined for Dollar Store /pol/ are now all over the site. It's got to the point that I can't even read threads about ALR or other non-political cows without some fucknut screaming about Jews.

You'll never eliminate politics and political debate from this site. People want to talk about politics, and in a site with much freer speech principles than others they will feel able to do so. And a lot of cows are fundamentally political - you can't discuss people like Laura Loomer, Cenk Ungur, or anyone from the Gamergate diaspora, the Manosphere or the Rat King without discussing politics, because it is these people's retarded politics that accounts for a very large amount of their cowdom. Banning political discussion altogether will make it very difficult to discuss at least half the cows and communities we follow on this site. But closing A&N&H will go a long way to clearing out the bad posters, as will, much as I don't like it, stronger moderation. Maybe keep Deep Thoughts open and moderate it more heavily, just to let people let off their political steam a bit without turning the whole site into the Wild West.
