Pretty much. Plus people are a lot more likely to donate clothes (got to clear the wardrobe so you can consoom some more, right?) or give clothes to friends who are struggling, so decent clothes when you're poor aren't really an expense at all.

They drew it with the light coming from the front but then retroactively changed it to be backlighting without removing the frontlighting. You can see it on the other characte'rs shoulder as well. Insanely lazy oversight lmao.
