I don't know why Bob has such disdain for the internet. His fame is a product of the internet age. He started his movie-reviewing career during the internet age, and did so being the "nerd reviewer", a demographic unique to the internet age. Him wanting the internet gone is at his own risk. It comes off as short-term thinking and sour grapes over how much of a has-been he is and how much more the barrier of entry has been lowered since 2008.

That's why, because he believes he's so special and amazing that he would have had a great film critic and maker career even had it not existed, and so he's trying to elevate himself the same way he always does: Putting others down. When he was a kid, he bullied nerds so he could be one of the cool kids. Later, he attacked FPS games to try and get in with the games critics who hated them. And his vengeful desire to destroy the Republican party so that the Democrats will accept him and give him everything he wants, like they're a genie.

He insists that he should not be called a youtuber, despite that being what he is, because that implies he is less than the people in traditional media, who had to jump through hoops and work their way into their positions, rather than just talking into a microphone and getting an audience because you were in the right place at the right time. He cannot accept that he's not that special, he just got lucky and then got grandfathered in, so he needs to claim that you're wrong for describing him accurately.

The truth of the matter is that if he was as special as he believes he is, he wouldn't be struggling the way he does now. But that would be admitting defeat, and his little brain would never accept that.
