Bob Chipman / Robert Lewis Chipman / MovieBob / Game OverThinker - "Coastal Elite Thinker" who wants conservatives, Christians and manual workers eradicated. Universally ignorant; cannot tell reality from sci-fi. Sore loser with short fuse. Odious Disney shill. Tranny chaser and general creep. Fat and diabetic.

His rare anime takes are especially bad because it's probably the topic he's most obviously ignorant about. There are parts of the anime fandom who mystify Nipponland and have terrible comprehension skills but Bob's clearly just being a contrarian reactionary to those people though similar to his gaming takes, it's more so a version of them that existed 20 years ago.

Now I'm wondering what a tier list of topics Bob's been ignorant about would look like. They're all bad but I'm unsure how I'd rank them.

Personal bias, but I'd put law at or near the top. It's not something he ventures into all that often, but his take on double jeopardy lives rent-free in my head.

I vaguely remember that but that's a good one. Law's a difficult thing for a lot of people to wrap their heads around to begin with. My personal thing, comicbooks, I'd probably have somewhere between anime and gaming. It's not complete ignorance like with anime due to him at least using wikis but it's not anything like his probably legitimate experience with mid 80s-early 90s gaming either. He mostly gets by because finding pretentious illiterate people talking about comics they've never read is commonplace in circles covering their adaptations.

The issue with his gaming takes is "American NES & SNES releases" is such a small frame of reference and according to Brick by Brick, his interest in the medium was because "it's like a cartoon you can control". He'd be in the dark if you ever tried to strike up a conversation about Atari or the MSX, let alone anything after 3D gaming took off. Mario's the only remnant that's stuck with him in any way.

I agree, super wishful thinking on my part. Even if he did, he'd be that insufferable douche that feels the need to argue with the lecturer at every opportunity. He'd then run to Twitter immediately after and brag about how he totally schooled him on moral theory and now everybody follows Bobism. Meanwhile the lecturer, and the rest of the class, will be wondering what zoo this special needs animal escaped from and how it got into the building.
and why it keeps getting up on the furniture! :P

tbf Matt Walsh does follow up and says that he finds all anime weird and bizarre and adults shouldn't be watching cartoons. He doesn't just say it's Satanic. Ignoring how in or out of touch Walsh is in his distaste and distrust in chinky dink cartoons, Bob, just less than 2 weeks ago mocked AI art because people were making anime women with it instead of buying shitty art from trannys, has openly disparaged the anime watching community, and has some of the most retarded takes on the accursed genre. Suffice to say, Bob does neither knows nor cars about anime. It's just a cudgel to beat Matt Walsh with.

This led to a little bit of a tantrum. It starts with the one quote tweet that big name Bob with 28.8k followers has on his big brain tweet.

Why Bob? Why? Why would you hand deliver your own own so carefully and so graciously to a troll? The Michael Scott "That's what she said" joke turns into an actual Michael Scott because it's awkward, falls flat and is shoehorned in. I'm pretty sure that Aaron here got the Danster treatment.

I wasn't even looking for this when I found it. Bob being scared of Dan Floss, a long standing troll of Bob's, isn't the funniest part. Bob giving B. Coul, a lesser Bob Knob Slobber, actual orders on how to handle Dan Floss isn't the funniest part. No you see the funniest part is B. Coul's immediate sperg out after getting dressed down by step daddy.

This man feels like a parody at this point. Imagine getting this riled up by Dan Floss of all people to the point that Bob tells you, the guy who you've been having internet fights with for a year and a half, to settle down.

This piece of diabetes-made-sentient doesn't understand that progressive ideology can only exist on the back of conservative ideology, does it?
Your urban utopia cannot happen without the Protestant-or-equivalent work ethic that farmers and truckers nationwide apply daily.
You cannot live in your cities without the mayo ghouls who work sanitation.

Now I'm not saying that conservative ideology is king, it isn't, but Blobert makes me cheer for them when he utters such impotent tripe.
If conservatives nationwide went on strike he'd be forced to lose weight or eat his family members for sustenance. If progressives go on strike farmers simply won't be able to use spotify and watch some netflix.

He also doesn't understand that you can't kill/"disappear" an idea or an ideology. Let's say his wish comes true, one day suddenly all 70-some-odd million MAGAnaise ghoul Red State Barrow Wights suddenly vanished off the face of the earth, without a trace, but totally not murdered/thanos snapped or whatever. Maybe they got lost in the Bermuda Triangle into an interdimensional void.

It still won't eliminate the fact of right-leaning politics. And do you know why? Kids rebel against their parents. Bob would have to Minecraft wish away budding MAGAnaise Ghoulen spawn periodically to keep his Democrat Vote Blue nO MaTTeR wHO Utopia.

Of course Bob doesn't comprehend this because he probably thinks only Republican/Religious parents get rebelled against.

Of course Bobby values his lesbun cartoons over the free speech of "things".

Unfortunately, according to our Superior Futurist, social media is going obsolete like buggy wagons.

As I repeatedly said, Bobby is neither a thinker nor believer, but a follower. Here is a glimpse in the mind of a follower:

Someone called Wokal Distance sings a paean to the simpler time when video games were not inherently political. Bobby misses the point completely by focusing that Wokal Distance stole his nostalgic illustrations from someone else.

It's like how he approaches most media, he doesn't really care about the content just the discourse surrounding it. I think Bobert might have gotten some exposure to anime early on, but it didn't seem to impact him much. It's one of many things he feels that he can chime in on since he is "media literate." As far as ignorance I'm not sure, but it's clearly has some of his most lazy and shallow takes. Which is saying a lot.
Reminder that when he did his "japan is awesome, this is why" gif*, he put on some anime...

From the 80s (like Astro Boy and one of the mecha ones).

As always with Bob, it was awesome when he was a kid, but sucks now.

Libs in general have no understanding that producing food, minerals, and other raw materials (and, come to think of it, the next generation of humans) requires a way of life that they find morally and politically abhorrent. Bob's political views aren't especially stupid for a progressive; he just says the quiet part - that robots will soon make "mayo ghouls" obsolete, and then we have no reason to live - out loud.

There will be a slow push to make Candace Owens into something like the Proud Boys, a boogeyman with no actual power or influence but still is somehow the worst thing ever.

Sorry, I'm not sure which gif it is.

As I say in the subtitle, Bobby is universally ignorant. But the one area in which his ignorance is especially grating is Religion. I'm prepared to look past his abject ignorance in say Law and Economics, or even Ethics, because he never claimed to be an expert. But he did say he had "seminary-level theology" in one of the best Jesuit schools in Boston, yet he keeps regurgitating edgelord fedoraism that a 13 year old would be ashamed of.

Re: Blobbo bringing up satanic panic as a counter to todays hyper senstive culture:

This is yet another tired meme that needs to die. No one believes it, and it only sort of sounds right.

There's two main differences between the censorship of the 90s, and the fucking brainrot we have today, you see.

First, say what you will about Satanic Panic, but those people were 'offended' on behalf of themselves. Anyone who sperged out over pokemon cards or demons on the backs of games/gamebooks did so because they were truly worried for their own children, and a fair number (I'm not confident enough to call it a majority, but still) would chill once they actually got a look at what those nerds sitting around the table with their funny dice were actually doing. Because it was born out of legitimate ignorance, and ignorance can be treated.

Compare this to the leftist dogma we have today, where the people following the dogma fall into two categories: Sad, unfuckable white people either trying to sort out white guilt, or appeal to the former to get laid, or actual niggers and child fuckers using white people to hide their own evil. That's why any black person that steps out of line gets their nigger license revoked and shouted down with more slurs than the entirety of the farms combined could produce. There's no genuine concern. There's no willingness to learn, because it's not born out of ignorance, but sheer stupidity and malice.

Secondly, and far more important: The people who followed the mindset on the news that 'pokey-man cards will make your child into a devil worshiping witch' were largely mocked by society. Pop-culture didn't take satanic panic seriously, and it was soundly ignored, unless someone who agreed with it happened to have some serious power, looking at you Woolsey. Compare that to the leftist dogma today, where even whispering that 'maybe we just treat black people like people and stop acting like they dindu nuffin', can literally get you fired because of twitter faggots, and that's on the tame end. Where the entirety of entertainment, from animation to video games, have been bending themselves over the pommel horse, begging for leftist tranny cock, because they're terrified of what will happen if they don't.

Sorry, I'm not sure which gif it is.
It might have been part of one of his early Overeater videos, i do remember seeing it a long time ago, it did reminded me of another gem from his early days, in where he tries to offend all races before talking about race, and as soon as asians/japanese appear he goes full simp for them.

Current year Bob would never call Queen Hillary a bitch.

I don’t want to quote some posts but god damn Bob has some asinine takes. Like the fact he made a whole “Kill VANISH THOSE RETHUGLICANS!” because Matt Walsh did a Matt Walsh thing and made a stupid take is really dumb.

The irony is Bob’s opinions on Anime are no different than Walsh’s given Bob likes to make fun of anime fans regularly, calls them all perverts, and associates them with the right like he does with everything he dislikes. Like if a black woman said the same shit Walsh said but called anime sexist, Bob would be fellating her non-existent dick extremely.

Basically Bob just wanted an excuse to go on his usual eugenics tangent.

Also Bob acts like another Henry Cavill Superman movie is a mistake is also dumb. Warner Bros is shitting itself yes but this is one of the few good decisions they made since Henry Cavill was well liked when he got the role and the issue of his Superman was due to the writing behind it and Zack Snyder’s direction.

As a little aside, Bob’s wrong on what the American epic is because we all know it’s the Chris Chan documentary.

This is an excellent point. His double jeopardy idiocy grated on me because, while he didn't claim expertise, he still declaimed as if he knew what he was talking about rather than preface it with something like "I think ... " or "My understanding is ... " Nope, just "prosecutors never charge everything, and you're an idiot who thinks an Ashley Judd thriller was real life if you think otherwise!" All while offering an interpretation of the concept that is easily disproven by the briefest examination of criminal law or ... just looking at high profile, questionable acquittals and realizing the situation he described never happens. Or did it not occur to him that the LA district attorney would have taken another shot at OJ or the Rodney King cops sometime if his fantasy of the criminal justice system were accurate?

But his takes on religion smack of the worst ignorance and arrogance of the most insufferable fedora-tippers. At least he accepts law is a concept with serious thought and development put into it. Like the dumbest, most tendentious atheists, he rejects all theology and religious philosophy as nothing but delusions about the Sky Wizard or whatever dumbass reductive epithet he's using today. It also ties in to his obvious fear of death. Shit, it might define him more than his obsession with pop culture ephemera.

As for his assertion that "video games come from Japan": That is quite simply the worst take on video games I have ever heard, and could only have been uttered by someone who flat out ignores PC gaming and all gaming before the 1983 video game crash.

I am biased. But I am gonna go with History. If you wanna talk about rent free tweets, him advocating for the re-annexation of Poland is one I share to friends a lot. Like we all know he is a pop culture obsessed buffoon, but he really just cannot help but see the world in a Star Wars like world of good guys and bad guys. Like he is even beyond black and white.
Bobby thinks that puerile WWE soap drama has the same significance as The Iliad.
So, he isn't talking about WWE per se. Movies the wrestlers starred in if memory serves. Which is great, because all of these are written literature. And Moviebob comes in, as well as his sycophants, with Movies.

Which, see I had been thinking, man that might be a good route. Like, even Godfather is a good answer. It is quintessentially American in how we act about our culture, in a strange bid for preserving the old world. I think anyway, forgive me, I haven't seen it. And I might be putting too much Goodfellas into it.

But then it occurred to me. Bobby boy here then followed it up with Star Wars. And there's nothing really all that American about Star Wars. And thus we see Moviebob failed the assignment. He didn't realize the prior examples are strong representation of their countries.

To which, my answer tends to be The Great Gatsby. That book is really just America all wrapped up and crystalized. And it's short, which I feel makes the epic requirement, because us Yankees live short lives. But, if you have to be pedantic, then its The Stand. Because I also feel King really just understands Americans. You can't really transplant the books to other countries, because they are steeped so much in American mythology and culture. And I pick the Stand because that even carries a little more American mysticism and views on myth than the average King book. What with the villain being a denim wearing, populist hippy, his side kick poorly managed mental illness victim. And the force of good being led by the most generic man in the world, aided by a retard, and guided by a magical negro. Just peak America.

But Bob is like, uhhh Hollywood! Like the dude doesn't even live in his own country. Or really live, who am I kidding.
