Bob Chipman / Robert Lewis Chipman / MovieBob / Game OverThinker - "Coastal Elite Thinker" who wants conservatives, Christians and manual workers eradicated. Universally ignorant; cannot tell reality from sci-fi. Sore loser with short fuse. Odious Disney shill. Tranny chaser and general creep. Fat and diabetic.

Oh heavens, I'd forgotten Bob had confused 5:50 with 5.5 hours.

Is Bobby trying to horn in on Thunderf00t's Elon Musk sperg-rant schtick? Good luck with that, boyo.

"Pique." Is even one of you inept orbiter fucks actually literate? I've seen "peak" which is bad enough but I understand that via thinking it means "make your interest reach a maximum". But PEEK? Something that will probably sneak glances at your interest when it thinks your interest isn't looking! Damn it, these people are morons.
I actually wonder if Bob would even bother to download those old issues of Nintendo Power. I can see them being useful for people involved in the emulation scene (whether legally through Nintendo's online service or through piracy) because they'd need information on the old games they're playing or would like to play. Bob, though? Bob doesn't play videogames. He likes Nintendo as a lifestyle brand. Maybe there are some old comic strips he'd like to reread, but I doubt even those would be that interesting to current day Bob.

There were titles that were supposed to be localized and titles that were supposed to be released but never came out. I can find worth in those because of that.

Oh, yes, if you actually like videogames those old magazines are very interesting. Though reading about some of those titles that weren't localized was frustrating (fortunately, some of those were actually localized years later, like Secret of Mana II released later as Trials of Mana). I just meant based on what I know about Bob, stuff like that wouldn't be interesting to him.

Slight powerlevel: For years I was seeding torrents with scans of various computer mags from roughly the year of Bob's birth to the Nintendo Power era.

You're right, he's not going to be like the autists I used to know who'd be like "I remember this Compute! article from the late 80's about proper kerning in GeoWrite but I forget the exact details and I'd like to reread it." The magazines have some use as nostalgia bait so he might poke at an issue or two he remembers particularly well but that's it.

I'd assume he'd be more into it if Nintendo Power weren't sanitized and kid friendly unlike the more wild-west early comp mags. Then I'd be expecting something more like (and this one's real, I swear) "There was an issue of Ahoy! with a black cover and an Alice in Wonderland theme. Oh, and does the scan include the ads?"

It's issue 25 and yes the ads are there, though I'm not sure if you're looking for the busty model showing cleavage on the back cover or the nude lineart in the "Eros" ad on page 105. You filthy perv.

Man, all I ever read along those lines was a dozen or so issues of Commodore Magazine and I'm geeking out over this. The niche computing world used to be so fun, and this is such an amazing window into the past.

Bob's failure to appreciate this kind of thing proves that even among a subculture of traditional losers he's an even bigger loser.

Rasberry Pi's and similar SBCs provide this kind of fun these days. My father used to type long programs from Compute magazine into our Atari 800. I remember one word processer he painstakingly typed in would never work because it required a floppy drive and at the time we were still loading things off of tape. (It was a really good word processor when we finally got a floppy drive later.)

I notice that MovieBob asserts that the other hard sciences look down on engineering, and I assume we must bow to his superior knowledge (always). Though I wonder who he thinks will build the superior future for him if not engineers. Perhaps Kevin Feige and some random MCU script writers?

TBH I tend to find that the other hard sciences take more time pissing on softer sciences than engineering. Engineers, at least good ones, tend to be known to solve problems, for good or ill. It's telling Brainless Bob has to now mentally take in his brother's position to invent enemies to avoid his attempt to game over in real life though.

I always prefer execs who know his trade in and out -- a hospital admin should be an experienced clinician, for example, and a tech company should be helmed by an engineer, rather than some MBA kiddie from Harvard. Bobby apparently thinks this is stupid, and that Bobby himself, a ...well, a person who has rubbed shoulders with Harvard and MIT students, is a better admin for Tesla than Musk.
likewise, in my experience the most successful manufacturing companies are the ones who are headed by someone who's actually put in years on the shop floor, and understands the requirements of the business backwards

Musk is determined to clean out the last bit of rot from Twitter's payroll.

I'm sure all scientists will look down on Lesser Brother, but not for the same reason.
what does he know about any kind of science?
scientists need engineers to turn a principle into a feasible reality, and there's no reason why you can't be both - Carl Bosch is an excellent historical example
he built BASF into a veritable powerhouse because he had a mixture of both an academic grounding in chemistry and a practical understanding of how chemical plants work
what's more, far from being one of Robert's god-substitutes, he was quite a modest bloke and enjoyed the simple pleasures in life

Peter Coffin accurately points out the hypocrisy of Twitter tards.

But back in 2001, we at least had a modicum of tolerance for those who disagree with us on politics. Today, we outright shun them. (I know from experience, since I block members of the Vote Blue No Matter Who cult on sight.)

We can see entities like Bob Chipman and Lucas Roberts are NOT FAMOUS.
At least, until Moviebob gets (deservedly) ratioed.

What is the difference between a member of the suffering infotech working class and a "techbro"? The latter commits wrongthink.

Traditional Humanities are important part of education; without it you risk churning out one MovieBob after another.
Moviebob is now the recipient of an Animal House meme:

Someone must have told Bobby about British Empiricists.

No, as a Kantian I still maintain that Facts don't care about your "Feelings" sensu Bobby, more properly know as "Sensations".
Since when does Moviebob care about facts? With scarce exceptions, facts run counter to Bob's narrative.

Um... forgive me if I'm wrong here, but weren't there Democrats who supported the Antifa and BL(DR)M riots in 2020? If so, said Demcorats should be expelled and DQ'd from office because they're responsible for far more damage and a much higher death tally than the ruckus Trump "encouraged" on January 6.

The general opinion among trannies is that DeSantis is a better Trump than Trump himself.

Moviebob Bingo update: Score "Not a Human" is on your card.

Cenk Uygur backed the candidate who lost, which made him "dumb sh--" presumably.

Cenk Uygur is still smarter than Moviebob will ever be.

Elon Musk backed many candidates who lost, which makes him...?

Don't say Bobby doesn't care for flyover Blue States. He cares about the faggots who live there! And he has no mercy on Dem supporters who complain too much about the Only Party In Superior Future.

Except... Moviebob defends Democrats at every possible turn--especially if they happen to be Führer Hillary, Fauxcahontas, and/or Alexandria Occasional-Cortex.

Note Bobby's Hollywood logic: if you have money you can just show up and people will create anything to your spec.
Well in his moronic brain, money and tech are basically magic, so if you give a tech company money, they will magically be able to do anything.

He read them as a kid so he doesn't need to download them because he already has all the information and they could tell him nothing new. Why would he bother using his mother's bandwidth to grab outdated magazines he already has memorized when he could use that connection to rant on twitter about how evil Musk is.

I'm sure all scientists will look down on Lesser Brother, but not for the same reason.
I love when Moviebob talks about other people's jobs, because it always reveals how ignorant he is of almost everything in the world and how much of his stunted world view is shaped by fiction. Bob understands scientists from the "hard sciences" to be brilliant geniuses working on cutting-edge technology in sexy white labcoats because that's what he sees in fiction. He's never had to work with an arrogant know-nothing who happens to have a PhD after his name, who can spend decades and millions of dollars researching ways to improve a product and still not have the faintest idea how that product is actually built.

A mathematician and an engineer are both told to stand at one end of a large room. At the other end of the room is a beautiful woman. They're told that every five minutes, they're allowed to move half the distance to the woman. When they get to the end, they'll be allowed to kiss her. The mathematician gets extremely angry and starts to leave. When asked why, he says, "If I only move half the distance each time, the distance will never be zero!" The engineer just starts laughing and says, "True, but eventually I'll get close enough for all practical purposes!"

Bob is that rare type of person who's so obnoxious, he can make me want to argue with him even on the rare occasion I agree with him. I've always thought Musk is just an overrated hype man. I don't know why people don't constantly rip on him for shilling his stupid Hyperloop scheme, which was retardation in its purest form. But when Bob whines about Musk being a big dumb meanie-head because Musk doesn't have the correct morals and therefore can never be anything but bad and wrong, it almost compels me to disagree with him. The best thing Bob could do for the Democrat Party is fake a heel turn and start shilling for the Republicans. He could compel Republicans to argue against him and begin the slippery slide toward globohomo acceptance.

Scientists shitting on engineers comes entirely from The Big Bang Theory. Once again proving Bob can't tell the difference between pop culture and reality.

Am I allowed to consider Elon AND Bob to both be idiots?
Unlike Bob, Elon's idiocy isn't malignant.
It's not a remake, it's the sequel. (Anyone want the long story?)
Didn't it basically bomb, though? Why bother with a sequel aside from the Rat being desperate to wring every bit of potential value from the IP's it's gobbled up?

The best thing Bob could do for the Democrat Party is fake a heel turn and start shilling for the Republicans.

It's crossed my mind more than once that Bob is so toxic that he could sincerely be a right wing op (I often think the same, more seriously, of Occupy Democrats and I was not at all surprised by their recent funding scandal). However, he's too earnest, he's too stupid, and no right wing org is that clever.

I do think it'd be hilarious if someone made a fake Twitter feed accusing him of being a plant. "Look at this fucking caricature! He can't possibly be real, he makes us all look like fucking lunatics!"
