Boogie / Boogie2988 / "Francis" / Steven Jason Williams - Fat, Rapidly Declining Divorced "Nice Guy" Middle-Aged Youtuber, Former Edgy Porn Blogger, lied about having cancer and being molested. Cohost of fake drama show "Lolcow Live (LCL)". Just WILL NOT die.

You're reading too much into it. Perhaps because moron after moron has made far too much of it.
It really just refers to a state that happens on high doses of strong psychedelics (ie, 400-500 mgc of LSD) when your sense of having an identity breaks down and you're only conscious of the great cosmic ebb and flow, being and matter no longer divisible but just one.

People talk about it as though it's some great intellectual insight or achievement -- something that gives them superor moral or intellectual status. In truth, it's just an effect of the drug. If you take enough of the stuff, you'll recognize the state and it'll dawn on you, 'ah, so THIS is what they were talking about?' (Not at the time, but when you come down a little. You're not really able to form rational thoughts in this state.) I think it has some cache because prior to the widespread use of LSD, it was something that you really only heard about from mystics and aesthetics who'd ploughed enormous amounts of intellectual and spiritual effort into achieving that state.

But all of that should have fallen away when it became something that was available to anyone who could afford 50p for a tab of acid. But there's nothing drug users love more than talking about their drug experiences, so for the last fifty or sixty years, every verbose know-nothing halfwit has decided the rest of us need to know what happened when they took psychedelics.

Nobody cares, you're not special, it happens to everyone. Go fuck yourself.

It's hippy mumbo-jumbo. Worse still MODERN hippy mumbo-jumbo with shaman ex-cons pretending they are psychotherapists.
I've heard 'ego death' as a draw for everything from abusing armloads of benedryl to fentynal. Entrepreneurs have been selling 'courses' on youtube and sensory deprivation chambers post this as a selling point.
I think a healthy 8 hrs of sleep gives you the same feeling. Without risk of permanent brain damage and FOR FREE

Why do you want to 'kill your ego' ? You don't become 'part of everything', you actually become 'removed from everything'.

I guess becoming universally irrelevant is Boogie's future.

The American new-age, self-help, pseudo-religious quackery has always been a big draw for the suckers. Everyone from Sigmund Freud to HB Barnum, from Joseph Smith through Mary Baker Eddy to Tony Robbins by way of Napoleon Hill and Dale Carnegie has made a fortune from flogging their particular brand of half-baked bullshit to dimwits who didn't want to make the kind of sacrifices demanded of them by orthodox religion and were looking for a short cut that would allow them to carry on engaging in the kind of amoral degeneracy that the traditional religions have historically disavowed.

Perhaps it's just me but I'm more offended by the leather-titted wine moms who spend thousands upon thousands pursuing a moron with an enormous head (ie Tony Robbins) or some prosperity gospel scamming nigger ("Booty! Cometh to me now!") that's preying on the desperation of his broke-assed flock by telling them 'you've got to be in it to win it', so roll the dice and donate money they can't afford to buy his 13th Bentley than I am some ex-con trying to make a few bucks babysitting some billy-no-mates mong on their first shroom trip.

Longest sentence ever!

Oh. There are a lot of new (or returning) users here since the doc. You may have missed the boxing arc.

It's what the poll at the top relates to. Well anyway, it can be summed up in one gif. One I like to keep bringing back (with thanks to the person who clipped it first)

Boogie contacting this dude's wife is pretty dumb. It's especially stupid that he immiedately started DMing her after he didn't hear from this shitskin dude for 20 mins or whatever it was. However, it's pretty dumb because this "wife" is a public figure who has her own podcast and large following, and has even interviewed boogie in the past. While trying to contact the wife makes him look like a pussy, it's not as big of a deal as I thought it was previously. The way Muta said "this is a youtuber not a deranged random" made it seem like boogie tracked down his wife with inside knowledge and contacted her on facebook or something. It's like Ethan Klien complaining if someone contacted Hila.
It's not even contacting the wife which is the best bit, it's that, upon being called out, he immediately begins claiming that he both had no idea she was his wife, and had no idea who she was in the first place. It's extremely bizarre.

I, too, attempt to contact random people I don't know when I cannot reach a person. Last time my father didn't pick up the phone I ended up on the line with an Abo working at a Cashies in Bendigo.

Oh I did not realize he said/claimed that. She literally interviewed him on her podcast for the boxing match, so that's a very blatant lie. What a retarded thing to lie about.

Francis worked because mask-on Boogie was able to successfully separate himself from the character.

Francis was base, vile, selfish-- if a bit naive-- whereas mask-on Boogie pretended to be thoughtful, generous and kind.

As the mask deteriorated Boogie exposed himself as having much more in common with Francis WITHOUT the redeeming qualities. The Boogie we knew was just an act. The real Boogie is an abusive, cheating, lying, disgusting, narcissist but most of all manipulative. That's why the character no longer resonates.

Not the YouTube algorithm

The perceived authenticity and relatability that were a part of his "Mr. Rogers" brand are long gone.

Finally got to see the documentary. Boogie came across unintentionally very unlikable despite the point of it was to pity him.
Like if you've never heard of boogie before this he still comes across as a self defeating looser.
Some parts was hilarious too like the former hooker interview at the beginning.
"When we got back to the hotel and I do regret to say that slept with Boogie2988. Overall the experience and I don't mean to fat shame or anything but there was rolls upon rolls upon rolls and it took me a lot of time to find the steak..... sleeping with boogie is the reason why I quit sex work."

I'm also surprise no one posted this yet

I was actually bummed when he made his account private because it's so easy to source damning information from him at breakneck pace. Not only couldn't Boogie follow through with deleting his profile, he can't even keep it protected for very long. He's too desperate for asspats and attention. He'll never do it even though it would vastly improve his life. We're meant to believe that this dude was ever serious about KILLING HIMSELF when he can't even keep his Twitter profile private?

Everything he does is so manipulative. The only reason he's celebrating his "one year anniversary" is to take the focus off the fact that he only met Dezi 5 months ago. He's in major damage control over many things, specifically trying to make his relationship with Dezi seem normal.

During the RTU livestream, apparently Keemstar was going berserk in the chat trying to wrangle Boogie and was acting like he owned Boogie. Haven't checked for myself to verify, but it sounds about right. I think Keem was threatening to blow up Boogie's spot on the Lolcow Podcast if he kept arguing with Muta, which may explain when Boogie ragequit the stream. May also explain why he privated his Twitter account. Another thing to think about is how Boogie was constantly trying not to give away too much information and kept saying "subscribe to the Lolcow Podcast" if you want to know about this, subscribe to the Lolcow Podcast if you want to hear me talk about that". Dude is acting like he's been instructed by lawyers not to tell the police anything.

The Youtube channel Seethin' Steven uploaded this clip from a few years ago. Really makes Boogie's relationship with Dezi look 1000x worse when you hear him saying shit like this:

Few tweets:

Boogie can't recognize this view numbers blip of post-doc relevancy (mostly widespread hate) for what it really is, and instead thinks he legitimately has everything nearly back on track.

Boogie is apparently going to have Thanksgiving with Dezi's family, oh to be a fly on a wall...

Screenshot_20231111-142751.png

BTW he's back to the bragging about blocking anyone for anything part of his manic phase in the meltdown cycle. The 'I enjoy reading everyone point out what a massive piece of shit I am' cope is back and in full effect.

I saw this coming from a mile away. he'll essentially use this current spike in attention and views for the next few months to a year to write off all the financial problems he's been whining about as if one or two months worth of a bump in ad-revenue was all he needed to completely reverse the dire financial situation he claimed to be in. it's only a matter of time before he starts crying poverty again because nothing about him or his content will change to actually leverage this wave of attention he's receiving. people will inevitably get bored once the documentary buzz dies off and he runs out of extended clips to leech off of from clum.

there's no denying his channel is performing a lot better than usual right now:

but these metrics aren't really anything life changing. sure, he'll receive a healthy paycheck from youtube this month, but if all it took was an extra million or two million views to run to twitter and parade around about how your financial problems are nearly solved, then let's be real, you were never that fucking broke.
