Boomers are such a mixed bag where I'm at. Most are going about in a medicated stupor acting more disabled than a downie or are at least fullbore pro-Zionist useful idiots, but the remainder are among the nicest people I know. It's a shame that even the nice ones are out of touch.
The effects of being around leaded petrol in their formative years cannot be overstated.
I wonder if in 50 years the kids will be saying the same thing about me regarding microplastics or some other toxin we haven't even identified yet.

Does anybody here deal with boomer parents that retired and just aren't doing anything with all the free time? And then complain they are bored?

Maybe it's a reflection of who they are as people, if they ever had any hobbies or saved any money properly. All my dad does now is watch Fox news morning, afternoon and evening, I complained to him about this and even though I tried bringing this up as him watching too much TV he thought I was antagonizing his political views and then said he gets to "enjoy retirement" however he wants. I know he wishes he had more money to travel, he manages to do it a little bit since he went to Italy not long ago but the rest of the year it's all just him sitting in front of the news channel. At least he gets social security checks to save for more trips but he could pick up a hobby...

Mom does this with her phone, she just watches tiktok and youtube conspirancy videos. It's worth mentioning they don't live together and don't have friends.
It's interesting how they don't ask me for kids, in fact they said they won't help with any if I have them which is bad news for me since they are in my set of plans.

I don't expect anything from them anymore, surprisingly my husband's family is good with kids and his parents help his sister with her children but:

I've heard so many stories of Boomers behaving this way, as if they had anything good planned for retirement that's more important than caring for the future of their family. At least they get to retire.
Just be glad they're not in the casino all the time getting scammed out of their retirement money.

Brother was at the bank and witnessed a boomer have a complete meltdown because it took a measly ten minutes to get to the bank teller in a line of seven people. He was openly complaining about the fact that there was an open, empty teller spot and was demanding someone on staff fill the spot to make things quicker.
Lol every couple months some cryptkeeper on a rollator tries to outmaneuver me in public like it’s Metal Gear Solid. They think they’re slick cutting me off at Wendy’s, shuffling in front of me at the bank teller... If I’m solo I’ll just plant my feet like a Roman legionnaire and tell them “nah, wait your turn, mummy.”

(If you have company, you can forget it; you can't look like the guy who gets into slapfights with geriatrics in the checkout line)

I've been in a few lines in recent days where someone was in line in store and for whatever reason their card got declined or whatever and some boomer behind them just paid their tab. And one even tried to do this for me (I turned it down because it was a glitch and I had cash anyway).

It won't end with boomers. Millenials will somehow be worse off because they will both look down on the zoomers they failed to raise while also justifiably believing they are finally getting what they deserve once the Great Boomer Die-off happens.

I avoid going home specifically for this reason. Home is so dark and quiet since it is just my parents and the only sound is sportsball, occasional R&B music, or Sean Hannity on TV. I don't actually despise my boomer parents despite that reality being a vast majority of my formative years because I just can't hold a grudge like that and expect to healthily move on to being a better person, but it is honestly such a depressing generation.

My parents are honestly the epitome of it outside of not being as rampant consumers as their handful of friends. No fucking hobbies, no adventures, nothing. Instead of going into debt and blowing their savings on anything and everything, they at least have some nebulous amount of money now that they aren't 100+k in debt like they were all throughout me and my brother's childhoods, but they still act real snobby when they see their boomer friends on some cruise or at a beach house. It's a really scary side to see from them because I really can't tell if they are like that towards me and my brothers (and I know how they feel about some of my brothers from remarks they make).
The Zoomers are Gen X’s kids. We’ll be complaining about Alphas if anything.

Boomershits shamble into voting booths like NPCs and smash that red “privatize utilities” button because they think it means their property taxes will go down.

Everyone with an IQ north of a thermostat has already seen Texas and Pennsylvania get nuked by this scam: rates jacked 50% overnight by American Water or some other vulture.

THE SAME WATER BRAINED RETARDS: “Oh nooo, muh bill is $200 higher, how could this happen??” :'(

AARP (the Boomer ACLU) has a whole page dedicated to
whining about it.

Private utilities in of themselves aren't that bad. The issue is boomers think contracting to a third party is a magic fix when you just like local government have to put the pressure on companies to do their job and you need massive auditing.

Gambling is a scam. The lottery is a scam.
The only people I ever see buying lottery tickets are boomers. I never seen anyone below the age of 50 at least buying one of those things. The amount of money boomers waste on that shit for the dream of having more money to frivolously waste away instead of passing on to their kids and grandkids is appalling and any state that has a lottery program should abolish it.

Consider this. Boomers buy lottery tickets and cheat their kids out of their inheritance. Boomers are retards. Therefore, it's very likely their kids are also retards. Lotteries are a retard tax.

Therefore, their retard kids are less likely to succeed and spread their genes.

This is one of those self-solving problems.

Boomers waste money.

Do you know how behavior altering parasites will short circuit behavior of the host to benefit the parasite?
Often times it's misdirecting the love of the offspring to the love of the parasite.

There are constant talks of age discrimination in hiring but having to work with a newly employed gray, I think it is justified. It is for the simple fact that a lot of old people are incapable of learning new tasks at work (except engineers and old country side grays). You instruct these people how to do their jobs but they do not or cannot internalize it. They somehow can no longer further develop their intuition and everything they have to do needs to be explained to them in detail with texts and pictures. If anything happens that's not documented they will stop working and either do nothing or ask stupid fucking questions. A newly hired gray's performance at one month will be their peak performance till their death or retirement.

You really notice how little work older employees do, especially in an office environment. There were several of these office boomers who took vacation at the same time and I heard from a co-worker that the work barely amounted to 1 hour of extra work per missing boomer employee. Another example is that approximately ten years ago a big retail chain got restructured by firing all of their older employees, carte blanche (>35/40, you are out). Ten years later, the company is healthy and prospering. Another thing is that boomers don't understand failures in production environments, they are the embodiment of complacency. When a failure happens they always try to fix it ad-hoc and never investigate further. Some retarded boomer unironically said to me "It's just routine" when confronted about the fact that the same machine keeps failing due to ad-hoc fixes and no actual changes to prevent further failures (they used non-manufacturer approved replacement parts that weren't suitable for the operations of the machine, they did this to save 'costs').

Another thing I hate about grays is that they like to overshare. This newly hired gray dude has explained every tragedy and misery in his life within two weeks of him being hired. We aren't even "work-friends" and I already know that his son has had brain tumors, his daughter nearly died six times, I know all of his ailments and his not so pleasant childhood experiences. Does he trust me because I seem empathetic, nigger I am trying to do my work, why are you as a gray haired faggot trauma dumping on me. I don't understand these people. Maybe it is because grays here have no sense of privacy (an Orwellian law was nearly enacted due to boomers going "I got nothing to hide" and voting 'Yes'). But maybe its a habit of city folk because they like to overshare often.

The thing I hate the most is all of these boomers that can’t shut the fuck up about fixing the deficit and the budget crashing out when you suggest lowering pensions (30% of government spending is pensions) or not giving billions to Israel

They are completely fucking retarded, they have no sense at all and you always have to work around their egos, every single thing that doesn't go their way is some kind of conspiracy and not the result of pure lead based retardation
retarded boomer grandparents have had mold on and off for as long as I can remember and they do fuck all about it and have the audacity to complain about the shit they won't fix. they have enough money to spend months in fucking florida.
they also think flushing your water heater is some kind of elaborate scam and not to remove the fucking sediment and they can't figure out why they keep breaking.
grandfather "broke" the fucking tv by just ripping out random wires because he couldn't watch sportsball and yelled at me the entire time I was fixing it. he also stripped all the glaze off the bathroom sink because he couldn't be bothered to read the cleaner he used on it. he has broken multiple locks because he doesn't understand you don't need to act like a pissed off chimp over using the wrong key.
I have had to stop him from mixing bleach and ammonia containing chemicals more than once.
grandmother has fallen for some nigger crackhead asking for gas money countless times, at least twice they showed up on a fucking bike
The worst part about this is before they retired they used to be teachers and they aren't the only ones in the family who act like this

I will give Boomers the benefit of the doubt on this. If you are still working at 70-80 with how many opportunities Boomers had to save anything you may just be a retard.

Boomers who still work are a selection bias in of themselves (obviously ignoring passionate Boomers who love their careers, but those are hardly broke people who have to work fulltime).
