The lack of major activity in this thread is almost kind of symbolic to Borderland's state as a franchise. Its just there with some ocassional twitching to remember you its still alive, even when it shouldnt be.
I dont think its a coincidence the series officially went to shit the moment yours truly kicked the bucket.

New Tales is a disaster. There is a reason no one talks about outside of mentioning its garbage that doesnt carry a single drop of the charming charisma that the original had. Apparently they wanted a "sitcom" style thing without considering if this fit the setting.
Also, of course, as par for the course with modern borderlands, the classic characters are treated like as if they didnt have an adventure in the previous game where they learned things about themselves at best and are made completely clowns out of at worst.

Gunplay is good, collecting loot is fun. Story and characters will make you wish you were deaf and blind, yes it's that bad.
I was able to stomach one playthrough and I did have fun. At least the gameplay part.
Honestly, don't bother with it if you're expecting story and characters to be good. The gameplay is mediocre but fun for the first hour or so

It could be free with all the dlc with a extra sloppy blowjob and I still say no don’t bother. The only positive as the post above stated is that the gameplay isn’t bad but everything wrapped around it is completely dogshit. Just play the first two again if your itching to play Borderlands, or heck I’d even say the Pre-Sequel as well if Moon Australians are your thing.

I actually consider the pre-sequel to be the better one to repeat playthroughs on, 2 isn’t bad either but you can get upgrades and have a lot more side quest come at you quickly.
3 is a slog to get the eridium upgrades and side quest don’t feel as rewarding as 2 early side quest or are simple dumb and can be done while doing the main stuff like janeys poster quest.
And being the 3rd playthrough I started and have currently gotten the farthest in I can say… Zane is the best, Amara is eh, and More just fucking sucks..

So I reached the max lv on Zane (which I’m disappointed it’s 72 but whatever) beat the main game, bounty of blood, and handsome jackpot.
Decide to give Moze another try with the challenge of using only COV, (worst gun manufacturer in the game unless you can continually Regen ammo) so far it feels like eh…

I remember people complaining that BL3 has very little end game compared to the other games (barring wonderland).
They not only made legendaries way too easy to get, but they made a gun that can create legendary guns for 250 eridium.
So at that point what is the point…?

I didn't see this mentioned but there is a dialogue skipper mod put that binds a skip dialogue/advance mission status button to the game.

Hopefully this spells the end for Randy's career in anything. Dude basically went into self-exile by working on this.
Not only because this is an IP from a hack named Randy Pitchford, but it's also produced by the same guy behind "classics" like Bratz: The Movie and Morbius. That's all you need to know how bad this movie really is.

I dont know how to feel about a Borderlands movie. Can Hollywood write worse dialogue than Gearbox? I dont know and but Im little intrigued to see if their writing will be worse.
