You once said the Tower of Babel was the Bible's biggest contradiction.
This is the Bible's BIGGEST contradiction! In fact, everyone was NOT united in one language and that was not what was in "defiance of God". T
Now you're saying it's true.
The historic validity of their being a Tower of Babel aka Ziggurat of Babylon is definite.
First you make a definitive statement, then you quote Biblical commentary that refutes what you just said. I think
that's the biggest contradiction.
But does anyone really think that in c. 2100 BC, everyone around the world was speaking just one language?! It's ridiculous to everyone except Jewish-Christian-Muslim fundamentalists. But one of the points of this story is how important one common language for all humanity is!
"I. The advantages which befriended their design of keeping together, 1. They were all of
one language,
Gen. 11:1. If there were any different languages before the flood, yet Noah’s only, which it is likely was the same with Adam’s, was preserved through the flood, and continued after it. Now, while they all understood one another, they would be the more likely to love one another, and the more capable of helping one another, and the less inclinable to separate one from another." - Matthew Henry's commentary
And speaking of contradictions:
Have you got a source for that? And none of those crappy Wikipedia articles.
Which is it, Brad? Crap or a knowledgeable source? Because it can't be both.
Had you ever even heard of the Burning of Washington in 1814 and* how the fires of the White House and other Govt. buildings were put out by a hurricane that came out of nowhere?! And how it spawned a tornado that set down on Constitution Avenue that sent British soldiers and cannons flying into the air? And how the British were so spooked by this act of GOD/Nature that they retreated to their ships on the Chesapeake without** any opposition from the US Army?
I have a lot to say about this piece of misinformation. First what was your source? Oh! Of course!
Wikipedia! There's a paragraph about the alleged hurricane and tornado. And it has citations! One of them
-- Myatt, Kevin (August 26, 2006).
"Did tornado wreak havoc on War of 1812?".
The Roanoke Times. Roanoke, VA. Retrieved August 24, 2010. -- takes you here:
The other one -- NWS staff (June 15, 2011).
"NWS Sterling, VA – D.C. Tornado Events". National Weather Service Eastern Region Headquarters. Retrieved August 24, 2010. -- takes you here:
You might notice on that second citation that the information was apparently retrieved
before it was published!
History.com has two accounts of the incident. Here is how they end:
1. "The White House, a number of federal buildings, and several private homes were destroyed. The still uncompleted Capitol building was also set on fire, and the House of Representatives and the Library of Congress were gutted before a torrential downpour doused the flames. On August 26, General Ross, realizing his untenable hold on the capital area, ordered a withdrawal from Washington."
2. "More destruction occurred the following day, when the British torched what remained of the Washington Navy Yard and the Treasury building, along with the brick home of the State, War and Navy departments. They also smashed the presses of a newspaper Cockburn disliked and desecrated a monument dedicated to veterans of the First Barbary War. Lastly, they headed to an arsenal two miles south of the Capitol. But as they were destroying the gunpowder there, an accidental explosion killed at least a dozen British soldiers and injured many more. That evening, right after a violent thunderstorm, the British withdrew from the city rather than face a potential counterattack, retracing their steps to the fleet at Benedict."
We live in South Florida, Brad. We see torrential downpours and violent thunderstorms all the time. They aren't hurricanes. And there is no way to prove it was a hurricane. No, I didn't pull that out of my ass, I went to weather.gov, the official website of the National Weather Service and looked up Hurricanes in Washington D.C. The earliest recorded was "1878 October 23 Not Named. A Category 2 hurricane hit the Washington/Baltimore region. This is the strongest storm to ever hit this region since record-keeping began in 1851." Notice that last part, Brad.
There are no official storm records from 1814. Now, I will not definitively state that there was no hurricane on the day in question, but no one can definitively state that there was a hurricane because this was 37 years before records of storms were kept. Also, the retreat from Washington was strategic, not because they were "spooked".
Wrong, at the simplest level asymmetry and symmetry breaking are the same thing, i.e. Unified Strings 21/19 Theory. But like always, you ignore any mathematical* & scientific evidence that disagrees with your second grade mentality. I came up with a Theory of Everything because it obviously exists: FIG=6|7. Stephen Hawking is frustrated that he didn't discover the TOE.
Then you'd better write the Physics Department at Stanford University and tell them their encyclopedia (my source) is wrong. While you're at it, why not send a copy of your TOE to Hawking for peer review? If he were to sign off on it then I think everyone here would owe you an apology. I suspect, however, it is more likely he will laugh his arse off at it (strictly an opinion, not to be misconstrued with researched fact).
All I know is that you keep pulling your antichrist opinions out of your ass without wiping them off and expecting us to accept them without one iota of proof other than, essentially, "It's true because I said so!"
I have researched and found sources for everything I have said. Your primary source seems to be yourself.
And for the record, you blithering idiot, I thought you told me on
http://7seals.yuku or somewhere else that you stalk me on that you live in Coral Springs/South Florida.
I have never said that. I would never tell you what town I live in, I don't want you showing up here spewing your lunacy. (Although if you were
really even slightly competent in online research, you would know where I live.)
God-incarnate is not omniscient; G-D is.
Claiming to be God-Incarnate means that God is made flesh through you -- ergo you are claiming to be God.

I know how all you Kiwis demand exact figures. Do you feel comfortable at rounding-off the longitude of 73.968056 W to 74° W?
Only if you feel comfortable at rounding off the latitude to 41 degrees N.

@LordCustos3 constantly did harm here, so...
Thanks

The rules are listed at the top of the page and I don't see that one. Nor do I see how challenging you for proof of what you claim and calling you out on it when you don't is doing harm. You know what they say: "If the oven's too hot, get out of the kitchen."
