@YankeeTrader,

I want to hear about you and my 6 cats do also. They all tell me, "Ya, he's a HUGE asshole*, but he's got to have something interesting to share about himself. How often does he get canned food?"

I'm asking you about Star Trek, and I've mentioned it before, so I'd say that's something about me. Got a fav ep?

Don't be silly, Brad, we all want that -- especially now that the AntiChrist has come to power. Just when the world needs a savior most, you up and quit on us. What kind of ethical morality is that?

I'm a little foggy on my recollection, but aren't we supposed to get a thousand years of peace first before things go bad? Or am I thinking of something else?

Mine's Doomsday Machine personally, or the episode with the two planets that simulate war and kill people by lot.

I'm more worried about the Nestlings. How will they get their Miller 64 if Brad doesn't FedEx it to them?
Come on, they have there own breweries and were making it before we did.

They'll have to cancel their Checkers Olympics.
Come on Richard, you are the chosen one now. You can't promote stupid shit. The Nestlings do have checkers and chess competitions that they naturally emphasize more than we do. And they have global competitions. We have alot - a lot - in common with them.

All hail the true chosen one.

Oh no, not me. You can suck from the Antichrist's teat if you want, I'll just get the 1% from the grocery.

I was thinking more along the lines of Trelane from the TOS episode "The Squire of Gothos." He was less serious than Q, and had a lot more fun.

"Are you challenging me to a duel?" <extra high pitched end from the blooper reel version>

Mine's Doomsday Machine personally, or the episode with the two planets that simulate war and kill people by lot.

Those are both good episodes. Watching Decker chew the scenery in the shuttle at the end is pure art.

That didn't stop you.
Please tell us something important about yourself? Do you like Plain or Peanut M&Ms better? This is so much better than me trying to explain how the afterlife works to everyone - and much more important.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to imply that you were in a financial quandary of sorts.
Still, it never hurts to get paid for your writing, music, and/or art by your fans.

And to be fair, I haven't met many artists that weren't struggling. That's just part of the game.

True. Thanks - sincerely.

Only if the Second Coming of Christ defeats the AntiChrist first, which was what I thought Brad was her for. Come on, Brad, your whole life has been leading up to this moment. We all know you could whup Trump in a fair fight!

Ever read the Star Trek:TNG books. Most of them were so-so, but there is one that I highly recommend to every fan of the Star Trek Universe: Q-Squared by Peter David. It is by far the best entry in the book series. Here is the description from Amazon: "In all of his travels Captain Jean-Luc Picard has never faced an opponent more powerful than Q, a being from another continuum that Picard encountered on his very first mission as Captain of the "Starship Enterprise" TM. In the years since, Q has returned again and again to harass Picard and his crew. Sometimes dangerous, sometimes merely obnoxious, Q has always been mysterious and seemingly all-powerful. But this time, when Q appears, he comes to Picard for help. Apparently another member of the Q continuum has tapped into an awesome power source that makes this being more powerful than the combined might of the entire Q continuum. This renegade Q is named Trelane, also known as the Squire of Gothos, who Captain Kirk and his crew first encountered over one hundred years ago. Q explains that, armed with this incredible power, Trelane has become unspeakably dangerous. Now Picard must get involved in an awesome struggle between super beings. And this time the stakes are not just Picard's ship, or the galaxy, or even the universe, this time the stakes are all of creation."

Multiple overlapping time lines and the surprise appearance of some characters (including Jack Crusher, Wesley's father, and three different iterations of Data) this book is a must-read for any ST fan.

Thanks for clearing that up. I defer to you in ecumenical matters.

I have read Q Squared. Peter David writes some of the best Trek books. A very excellent novel. If you're in a TOS mood, check out "The Eugenics Wars: The Rise and Fall of Khan Noonien Singh". It's a great two-parter that is a whole mess of backstory into Khan. Also brings back Gary Seven and Roberta.

@YankeeTrader,

Tell us more about yourself. Don't be shy - you're so shy.

How about a little quid pro quo?

Whoa. Felt a little Anthony Hopkins vibe from that one. I don't suppose you like fava beans by any chance?

I do wish we could chat longer, but... I'm having an old friend for dinner. Bye.

I think they're showing "Silence of the lambs" on BBC America now.
Edit: it begins at 8 PM EST. I was wrong.

Sychron...oh never mind.
