I'm 100% certain that academia is glad that you aren't part of it either.

Doesn't stop you from talking like you know how research works all the time though. Using word like "scientifically" and "research" in your tweets just looks retarded, but please, do keep using them. It's funny!

The snip of the paper(?) looks reasonable in the context that can be established. The use of language is a field of research not only for linguists but also in psychology.
I don't understand what they're complaining about. Aside from the word "corpus," there's not really any jargon used in that snip. This is like baby's first academic thesis, but these knuckle-draggers act like it's some incredibly obtuse, cryptic postmodern academic nonsense. I like how Wu's trying to score points by taking a dig at academic writing, but the example he's using just makes him look like an anti-intellectual simpleton.

Actually I don't think I know a single person who would feel sexually attracted to one of Wu's half-melted Barbie-dolls. You could argue that they aren't sexualised at all, since they all look like the victims of a demented plastic surgeon.
You've obviously never been to Deviantart.
'Cos she doesn't believe a single word she says, it's all just an act. She fetishizes sexy women. Check out this interview with Amanda Warner:

(source, too much javascript to archive well.)

This is how she wanted R60 to be:

It's just a pose she's adopted because she thinks it'll make her one of the in crowd.
John probably wanked to this design. I bet the other characters wore significantly less as well before John snagged onto the SJW mentality to sell Rev60.

I'm angry because Brianna Wu touched me in the bathing suit area.

I can only hope that you wear one of these bathing suits . . .

I always assumed that Flynt/Wu's characters in Rev 60 were tarted-up versions of Sally from A Nightmare Before Christmas. I can't be the only one who sees the striking similarities.

Tech, as it were, is a huge industry. Gaming is a relatively small component of what is normally considered the tech industry. Silicon Valley startups, while highly visible, do not make up the majority of what is considered the tech industry. It's also an industry which is results orientated and clamoring for anyone and everyone who can achieve those results - thus making the only real litmus test for inclusion the actual ability to do the job. I would argue that tech is probably the most inclusive highly lucrative growth industry on the planet right now. There are few industries outside of the "goth nightlife industry" where I have regularly seen so many tranny people so readily accepted.

If Wu thinks the tech industry is sexist or has a problem with sexism, transphobia or inclusion, wait till she sees what it's like working in finance or law.
Isnt the ratio of men to women rather high?

It's amazing how much Wu's world crashes into nothingness if he ever becomes Frank's third ex-wife. He'll probably have to live in his car again.
Brianna would have to do something to hurt Frank real bad for Frank to divorce her. He already seems to take a fair amount of abuse from her but they also seem to be lovey dovey around each other when the camera is on them. This makes me think the relationship might have some volatility to it but what do I know? It will only happen if the walls come crashing down around Brianna and she takes it out on Frank or if any of her antics affect Frank IRL like affecting his job.

I was wondering about that. Do they have a prenuptial agreement?
If Frank was smart he would. Hopefully his first divorce taught him something.

There's plenty of TV shows that promote the ideals of feminism. Supergirl. Veep. Madam Secretary. Homeland. Jessica Jones. Just for some off the top of my head. A lot of them are pretty decent.
There's very few that promote Brianna's batshit totalitarian worldview, because it makes for very boring and pretentious television. Girls is the only one that springs to mind and that completely bombed.

What about The Sarah Connor Chronicles? All the characters that did anything were women.

Game Of Thrones is arguably feminist too, seeing as the female characters can be as scheming and indeed, even more devious than the majority of the men.

I consider Wu's episode of "The Internet Ruined My Life" to be a prime example of grade A pro-feminism programming. Especially that part where she tried to force cry while talking about people tweeting mean things at her.

But there's scenes of women being abused or raped. So it's shitlordscum or whatever these clowns might call things they disapprove of. Never mind what happens to male characters, as long as one girl suffers, it's potentially "problematic".

Either way, SJWs approval or disapproval of certain shows mainly depends on whether or not they enjoy it. Thereafter, they'll come up with reasons why it's (not) ok to watch it.
It's the /v/ modus operandi, when you think about it.

Didn't Game of Thrones pissed off SJWs because it has rape or something?

Off-camera rape scene. The camera panned away. The catch is that there is a rape scene in the first season and the chick who got raped fell in love with the guy. I mean, she didn't have much of a choice since it was an arranged marriage. What makes it funnier is the relationship has been romanticized by female fans of the show since it happened. So many times I've read and heard women talking about wanting to meet their "Drogo".

I offer but they refuse to get in the van.

So, you pretty much just want "feminism" to be reduced to a marketing slogan, Brianna? Because that's what it sounds like and what your fellow idiots have been trying to do with the movement for the last few years.

Karen Page, Leslie Knope, Jessica Jones, Carrie Mathison, Michonne, Claire Underwood, Liz Lemon, and MacKenzie McHale have all been prominent, great female characters in popular shows over the past few years. Of course, you probably aren't aware of them or don't consider them "feminist" enough for you because they don't fit your fetishized view of what femininity is.

Short Answer: Appealing to feminists is an economic dead-end, and television stopped being the biggest entertainment vector some time ago. There's no money in supporting a channel for a minority opinion that provably won't back sponsors and would go out of its way to threaten to tear the whole thing down if it offends them in some fashion or another.

If you want the perfect example of why this won't ever happen, Brianna, you need look only in a mirror.

Holy cow, that video is priceless.
But not really surprising, when you think about it, really.
These people are more concerned with bitching and moaning about what they don't like and their support is a very fragile thing.
Most of these people pretty much work with the rhetoric "I do not like Videogames, they are too sexist, so change them to my tastes!" and when it happens, they are 1) not satisfied no matter what happens and 2) they don't suddenly start picking up a hobby they never had in the first place despite their criticism not being universally applicable. And obviously, the moment some minor thing annoys them, they shriek "BETRAYAL! OPPRESSION! SHITLORDS!" and drop you instantly.

Thank god we have icons like Flunky Flynt to enrichen our gaming culture with games like Rev60, which will unquestionably hit Steam as soon as those mean GG trolls stop harassing him.
