A concern I have is that Wu will attempt to contact any vocal backers and try to kiss their asses and sell them the sob story of "GG ruins everything. This is how many death threats I've had this week" or intimidate them with false credentials and idle threats to their career. Normally I wouldn't consider that a likely scenario since I think a good chunk of people would see passed that bullshit but we're dealing with individuals who saw Revolution 60 and thought "I want to throw some money at that". Shit will have a harder time reaching a boiling point if that happens and this is one of the more interesting things she's done lately. Well, besides tastelessly using her dead dog for sympathy and attention.

The thing is, these backers that are asking for refunds aren't SJWs. They just seem to be your average folks who probably think they're cool for backing Kickstarter games before they became big ala Undertale. They're not interested in GamerGate, which has been irrelevant for months, or even in Wu as a person, they just want either what they paid for or their money back. If Wu tries to sell them a sob story, they won't care much. If she tries to intimidate them, it's going to backfire, given that they're ordinary Joes who have been more patient than saints. Never played RDR, have no clue what she's talking about, but it sounds like an awesome throwback at stereotypical "moustache-twirling villain schemes involving railroads, overdue rents and a damsel in distress".
Or rather, let me put it like this: In a game that centres around killing a shitton of people in a lot of different ways, being able to tie up people (and yes, that includes women) to kill via railroad seems awefully benign (and fun).

How dare they reference an old western trope and make it totally optional to do. To those that haven't played the game there is no incentive to do this beyond the achievement. You have to literally go out of your way to hogtie a random woman, leave her on the tracks, then wait for a train. It was also a secret achievement.

RDR is like GTA set in the old west.

If i remember, that scene is only in the main game and not multiplayer. Also the huge majority, if not all, are dudes you have to kill. Not to mention one of the main characters you team up with is a woman who has quite a large role in the game.
