I moderate for this site, and the owner (Or Co-owner) Pays around 2-300 Bucks a month.
And she has to do other payments that would cost up and beyond $600.00 lol

I'm a developer and I regularly advise people avoid "promise-to-pay" gigs. Why? They ain't getting paid, now or ever.

If the owner had the money, they'd actually pay you. Don't work for free.

THERE IT IS! I remember seeing people saying theyd move in hoards and then one person was like "A racist white guy made it and you can't badmouth white/cis/straight/etc people on it" and suddenly everyone was talking about how awful it is. Lasted about a day.

So some updates on our old friends at briar nexus:
The reached the funding goal, a prototype of the website was supposed to go up at the end of September, it is now November and not only do they have no updates of any kind (no screenshots, no beta version, no mockups and no programmers), but they've gotten themselves into some shit with people calling them out as scam artists (rightly so, they haven't delivered anything at all)
Also someone asked their stance on gross pedo art and they said "no" then someone said "what if people draw pedo art to cope with being molested" and they're like "oh that's fine"
Ok so double standard here guys, also I ain't never heard of anyone who draws something like that to cope with a traumatic experience, and even if they did why the fuck would they share it online
They're still saying they'll ban MRAs on sight and that hate speech directed at white, cis, straight and male people is A-OK despite still being hate speech.
Also one of their staff members started telling people to kill themselves so they kicked them off the project but only after people told them to

So, I'd say things are running p smoothly, can't see how this will crash and burn

The main reason it's going to fail is because dear leader has no plan to actually create the website itself. I don't know what her deal is but it seems like she's waiting for programmers to fall into her lap

As a CS major myself, who happens to know other programmers, that probably won't happen because most of us are pretty critical of the tumblr SJW culture, even though we're a fairly liberal bunch for the most part. That and most programmers are cis men so tumblr would not be okay with that either.

Dear Lord, 'most' does not encompass just how bad it is. It is a loveshy's paradise at our university; 4 girls for 200 guys, I shit yee not

I think the problem she will be facing won't be ideological, but more pragmatic: even mediocre programmers can find paid job with stupid ease, so why take an unpaid one? And that gets even more of a factor for skilled web devs, there are a lot more of people with good understanding of Java than ones skilled at web development.
