I am fully prepared for the trailer to come and it being an absolute woke shitfest, but I still have a tiny sliver of hope that it's good. Not excellent, but good, and hopefully not so woke it destroys the game. What can I say, Bully has a special place in my heart.
You really nailed it. I always interpreted the setting as being in 2006, when the game came out, but given the absence of contemporary technology like computers and cell phones it really lends itself to being timeless, as you put it. I also always found it weird that the students are all from different periods. The greasers are straight out of the 70s, the preppies are from the 80s, the jocks and nerds are based on 90s stereotypes, etc. But, again, as you said, it worked. You don't question it.
Didn't he brick a Wii devkit that contained an early version of Bully's port for that console? A fan sent two of them to him and he managed to destroy something that's pretty rare. Absolute genius.
As for myself, my favorite Bully theme is when you're fighting nerds. It's very nostalgic for me and it's so catchy.
Favorite activity is pretending to be a normal, responsible student and fighting nerds and jocks. My least favorite (if you can count that) is going to sleep after curfew.
