Call of Duty Thread - Potential return to form? Or nothing but cope on the horizon? You decide!

It's Exodus, the dead Russian at the end is the one guy who escaped with Makarov from No Russian (the other 2 dudes die during the shootout with the FSB), and iirc in MW3 the Inner Circle do a coup and take over the Russian military, who then get overthrown themselves when the Russian president gets saved.
So Makarov was tying up loose ends or they deflected after the massacre?

It doesn't make sense for the Russians to be a big thing when they were background enemies in CoD4.

A new anti-cheat system acting like a rootkit, a Code of Conduct to accept and a phone number?!
It would be a shame if a man in a dress at Activision found your dox from the number and published it on Twitter after you said some no no words.

Following in the footstep of Overwatch 2, MW2 requires a phone number too
Well, there goes my hype.

Remember when all you needed to play MW2 was to just pop in the game and you'd be playing in seconds?

Also, it doesn't specify whether this applies to multiplayer or the game as a whole.

That's pretty fucked, and overreaching in personal data if you ask me.

It's not like you need to be on a subscription to continue playing Cawadoody, unlike WoW. But you know how they'll sell it: "People keep getting their accounts hacked and sheeit so this two-point authentication system will save you!", etc.

These anime girls really do make the game interesting.
always have
(there was another video with even more extensive kawaii mods, but I could only dig through poorly made brazilian videos for so long)

really don't know why no one has exploited the "cute girls doing things" niche, not even japan - but then they're not the fondest of 1st/3rd person games, still surprised they they go apeshit over apex).

Its extremely difficult to work with the kawaii art style in 3D since things can get uncanny fast.

That and hair physics. Dear god trying to get proper hair physics on waifu hair would probably fry PC's, either from difficulty or the sheer physical impossibility of doing so.

Hair physics isn't difficult for PCs made in the last 10 years to run. We've had hair physics mods for Skyrim for years and anime races so if you want to make your own waifu I'd suggest Skyrim over CoD.

Doing a marathon of CoD 4, og MW2 and MW 2019 in anticipation for campaign of MWII. I hope they don't cock this one up. I am weird and mainly buy CoD for the action movie story mode and then casually putz around with multiplayer. I am very excited for the early campaign release.

animu in 3d has long been figured out, even before genshin blew it wide open.
hair physics are less of an issue with that artstyle since you don't need to realistically animate every single strand of hair. clipping is the bigger issue, and they either don't care (even disney doesn't, see frozen) or they make it good enough that it's not a big deal.

Oh god please not GFL. WoT made tank discussions fucking tepid with all the Maus/Strv fanboyism and GFL is becoming the next WoT in terms of gun discussions. At least some CoD and EFT fans have some form of understanding how guns are great instead of attracted nonces through waifu-fied guns.

No CoD on Game Pass for a while because of Sony's contract with Activision for CoD.

So the first level you're supposed to track down a man named Hassan and all I can think is HASAAN PIKER, I'M GONNA KILL YA!

I think I liked Cold Wars campaign better honestly. Some of the missions in this just dragged on and on for me.

Not awful by any means, but yeah. The "pick a response" stuff also felt really pointless compared to Cold War outside of the parts that involve bomb disarmament.
