Call of Duty Thread - Potential return to form? Or nothing but cope on the horizon? You decide!

we're on a website that has shown off the leaked content of many movies, tv shows, and games. avoid this thread if you care
I hope they get spoiled at least. Spoiled, meaning, you'd have to click on it to watch it.

One change I liked with MWII/III was giving Shadow Company more of a presence in the story. In MW2, they were gone as soon as they were introduced.

In roughly a few days a mod for Modern Warfare Remastered (2017) is coming out called H2M which is basically Modern Warfare 2 Remastered. It is bringing in the original MW2 maps and graphically tweaking them. The only thing that isn't coming in from MW2 is the OMA noobtoob glitch. They are adding a camo grind with the idea of keeping the mod active and alive especially early on. They are also allowing you to change the way scopes are rendered on your screen so you'll be able to use the classic scope rendering or the more modern method.

I probably will check it out, but idk how well it will run on Linux.

I just tried Warzone for the first time after not touching it since like, 3 months after Cold War. All my guns/loadouts are gone, the graphics look like complete ass and the guns handle like they belong in Arma and I get tons of random ping spikes.

After reading up on it for 20 minutes Im amazed no one burned down Activision when they relaunched it and removed everyone's hilariously overpriced and limited time to buy skins. Some serious abused woman behavior from the community.

the campaign is they now have zombies
Is this really the best they got? Black Ops 3 already had a standalone zombies campaign
I don't give a single fuck about Black Ops 6 and I couldn't be happier. Tranzit or bust, I have been freed from the cycle and it will take a whole lot more than what they're offering for me to go back in Bobby's paypig pen with my COD branded gimp mask.

Here's hoping they don't get C&D from Activision. They could just argue they created the assets themselves. They should've just used MW2R as an expansion for MWII.

Since the devs of H2M insist that you have to buy MWR and will never provide MWR for free, I think they'll have a better chance of not being taken down. Plutonium took down the links to pirated games and is still up.

Or it won't work.

That iconic soldier on MW2's box art is Mark Rubin himself. Props to the editing team and costumer designer.

4.4 hours into CoD Cold War. Liking it so far. A bit buggy though and system intensive but it's a good continuation to the black ops story. Playing on PC btw. I don't like the spy missions as much though. I like shooting shit with the BEAUTIFUL guns in the campaign. Haven't played multi-player yet, waiting to get through the story, which feels like a lot of work went into.

One other complaint I have, which is basically a meme at this point, is file size. Makes my 2tb 990 m.2 feel small. But it's worth it tbh. It looks and plays so well.

The H2M project is now dead [original link], the site down and as far as I can tell their binaries were not made public. When will people learn to stop making closed-source mods, announcing them before they're finished for influencer asspats and running everything through Discord channels attached to their real names and addresses? Never apparently.

Funny part is this comes in the middle of the active refund window from the games last sale, and there's been a consistent rise in playtime approaching the project's launch, so Microsoft-Activision would rather shoot that in the foot and risk a wave of refunds than let H2M release.

I knew it. Activision is quite stingy with their IPs. Don't want any third party competition for their latest title.
