I have caused a number of therapeutic abortions in my time, If the story is true it's likely they could not find any cooperation in Quebec. Could be a rural issue too and there's a medical basis to complicate it, not mere sluttery. Quebec is obsessed with making little Quebecers (ie, daycare, baby bonuses and the way common law works - no such thing as a common law marriage until a woman is knocked up). Ontario is more than happy to give a good scrape for the low low fee of around $40-$80 at most clinics. There could have been out-of-provice healthcard issues other provincial clinics won't touch, IDK.

There is definitely a Mean Girls vibe emanating from Ottawa where foreign and domestic policy is both feckless and superficial.
