While the housing crisis has its roots in Mulroney and Chretien's policies, it coming to roost with Trudeau's immigration policy, which to say that it's unsustainable is the understatement of the century. Its purpose to is give the appearance of a growing economy by adding new consumers, however, the GDP per capita--the true indicator of economic growth--is shrinking. Universities and colleges are now basically diploma mills for pajeets and business investment is down because Canadians grew fixated on real estate speculation, which resulted in lower productivity. When you compare GDP per capital among all the states and provinces, the only provinces that compare to the richest American states are Alberta and Saskatchewan. Ontario--the supposed economic engine of Canada--barely edges out Alabama on the lower tier. Oh, and the Maritimes? At the bottom of the list.
