Fully on board with Alberta separation, for the first time in my life. Doubt it will go anywhere, but we should at least try.
And how are you going to try, you gonna vote on it? Get to it man, go vote to separate. I bet that'll work, and I'm certain that if the state voted to do so the rest of the government would accept the result of that vote too.

Canada has fallen. Millions must die.

Actually fuck this. I am moving to either Quebec or Alberta and joining the separatist movements there.

This election will be studied for decades.

Liberal party years of corruption, foreign interference documented from highest intelligence. NDP unwavering support for the coalition leading to the destruction of the party support. Proroguing parliament during a "crisis". Some how pinning everything on the former rogue Liberal leader and that no MP's or the party was responsible for . Choosing a leader of the bank of Canada and financial adviser during one of the most downturn in decades in citizen spending power. Conservatives fumbling a 20+ lead. Conservative leader unable to win his own riding and differentiate himself from Trump. The elbows up support in leading to another 4 years of the same federal party. Trump's stoking the fears of Canadians voting conservative and people falling for it.

What an amazing ride last night was!

So what now? I assume the Cons will ally with the Bloc, but that gets them at best 167 seats. The Libs might ally with the ndp and greens for 176 seats in total. This still means that the libs can hold a majority, but it is dependent on if they can keep a grip on the greens and the ndp, otherwise they are stuck in an indecisive government, while the cons are almost certain to join up with the bloc to get a sizeable coalition which can rival the liberals on their own.

An election can be won in Canada solely by shaking some jangly keys in front of the voters

You're telling me that Orange Man Bad actually works in some countries?

Amazing. It's like boomers* just love to fuck over everyone they see because "fuck Trump". Never mind the housing crisis (Sean Fraser reelected lol), the cost of living crisis, the Liberal scandals, ArriveSCAM, bail reform, etc. etc. No, Trump Bad.

*some, not most (though I'm referring to the ones who voted Liberal here)
