Canada is a failed state

The reactions in this thread remind me a lot of Americans online, when I say it really is not that bad here and that they probably are just a fuckup and that's why life sucks so much for them. In my experience, harsh reactions to statements like that are people telling on themselves that what you said struck a nerve because they know you're right.
Get boosted retard.

San Francisco managed to fix their crime rate by simply not enforcing the law and hence not having to record incidents. They by all outside appearances have south african levels of theft (toothpaste locked behind plexiglass, store closures abound) and yet have a supposedly moderate crime rate. There is a reason why people aren't always inclined to take government stats as gospel.

It's the little comments that make me smile.

"but...but...the stats don't count and here's why, even if I can't provide any data at all to disprove stats provided by one of the single most reliable institutions in canada"
You Fucking Retard Tedros of the WHO is saying Diesease X is coming. There WILL be another pandemic. Justin wants Canada signed to the binding WHO treaty that will allow the WHO the force vaccinate/quarantine people without their consent. Kill yourself NOW.
Ranting about the WHO is unhinged. There will always be another pandemic looming, that's kind of how diseases work and it would be best to actually prepare be it in 5 years or 200 because humanity got off really lightly with COVID having quite low death rates.
Outside of mentally ill people, all the people I know who are struggling are all failures and fuckups who refuse to do anything to improve themselves or their lives and prefer to doom about the impending collapse of their country that isn't coming any time soon
This has been my observation as well, but I didn't want to state it this plainly.

Canada is still a pretty ok place to live for most of us compared to plenty of other places that are, frankly, absolute shitholes. I'd wager that not even the biggest doomer in this thread would say otherwise, or else they would have cashed in their Monopoly tokens and fucked off to some nigger country. What you're not quite understanding is that for basically anyone over the age of 30 who has been living in Canada for more than a decade or so, most of us can't avoid noticing at least one aspect in which general quality of life here is noticeably worse, regardless if they're personally that bad off. Sure it affects chronic fuckups the worst, of course it does, but even if you're in a position where the cost of everything (especially housing) isn't enough to significantly impact you, keep in mind that shit rolls downhill and if this is a downward trend that it's a matter of time before you do indeed notice, and by then the damage will be that much harder to fix.

People who thirty years ago might've been able to access health care and services that allow them to live peacefully in the community and maybe function well enough to hold some kind of low-wage job are instead raving street homeless who cash their welfare checks at the beginning of the month and spend it on fentanyl because what the fuck is the difference. Police are spread pretty thin and are forced to live in fear of some shitstain ruining their life with some bullshit claim of abuse or discrimination for doing their job, and even the dumbest crackhead nutjob out there clues in eventually that it's possible to get away with crime by claiming "ackshually addiction is a disability and also muh mental health, as a disabled person you cannot legally hold me accountable for my actions."

Health care has gone to shit because of unsustainable numbers of refugees and immigration allowing people into the country with all their ailing elderly relatives in tow to burden a system they never paid into, limited funds have skilled HCWs so overworked and underpaid that they leave the field, their performance goes to hell, and any replacement (if there is one) is probably dogshit at their job having been pushed through some diploma mill and wasn't flunked out because the school doesn't want to lose out on the inflated tuition they charge international students.

Actually, quality control is shit almost everywhere and workplaces end up getting stuck with useless retards because of DEI, and everyone and their brother has a claim that makes them some type of "marginalized person" who everyone is too afraid to hold to standards.

Again, if you haven't been personally burned by any of this, you eventually will be. It's not unreasonable for people like us who have noticed a decrease in quality of life (for us or others) to be concerned about shit getting worse or what needs to change to prevent that. And for the record, out of context statistics that are probably cooked as fuck anyway can be presented in such a way to argue literally any old bullshit. Some of the factors at play here are not easily quantifiable at all, let alone measurable in dollars and cents.
I'm not trying to say there's no issues with Canada, there is. I just refuse to tolerate doomer bullshit or whiny quitters who can't handle being called fuckups, which makes up the vast majority of the people I see complaining about this stuff in real life and online.

Actually, it's not just fine for me, it's fine for a lot of the people I know. Outside of mentally ill people, all the people I know who are struggling are all failures and fuckups who refuse to do anything to improve themselves or their lives and prefer to doom about the impending collapse of their country that isn't coming any time soon. Also, calling someone a boomer just because they don't share your sadsack views on life is another textbook loser admission.

'Anyone who disagrees with the state or liberal party or dare have problems in present day Canada is mentally-ill'.

Such a position in itself of course, does not signify mental-illness.

Many Germans who found the nazi's to be appaling were rubber stamped as sick, insane and even institutionalized in the early days of the Reich. On-brand for Trudeau's simp army. Let's skip ahead to the part where "anyone who doesn't want to step into the cattle car is doing so because they are racist and unpure".

I've always been skeptical about people on the internet who complain about the economy. Bad economy hasn't stopped those people from purchasing every latest video game or eating out all the time or giving money to their favorite millionaire streamers and whores or going to disneyland every month.
A bad economy stops you from buying a house, an education, starting a business, getting a new car, getting a new job.

It doesn't stop you from buying a bag of chips and a video game.

That's also why it's bad. It's not bad because it stops you from purchasing cheap commodities. It's bad because it stops you from improving shit around you. You don't have to be destitute to be hurt.

Fuck you. I’ve done nothing but struggle and fight to get ahead in this country. I know many who have been utterly destroyed and defeated by the system. I would FUCKING love to be allowed to participate in my country’s system. But because of my opposition, opinions, and now skin colour, doing so would be suicidal.

No, you can have issues with your life and not be a fuckup or crazy, but a lot of fuckups and crazy people tend to crash and burn their own lives and then act like the entire world is against them. I've yet to interact with a person in real life or online who tend sperg out at being told to get a grip on their life that was a complete bitch of a human.

I feel like this attitude, however justified, is just going to end up making people less sympathetic to you just by how abrasive and hysterical people like you post.

Here is the thing: people are fucking idiots. Anyone with a cursory knowledge of Canadian history from 1968 onward would know that we've been here before. Pierre Trudeau created all these government programs and wracked up then-record deficits that resulted in the stagflation and interest rates that exceeded 20% by 1983. Mulroney and PT's protege, Jean Chretien, would later impose severe austerity to get the country's finances back on track. PT's idiot son is looking to outdo his father and now we're about to repeat history because a gaggle of morons refuse to learn from it. Frankly, I find it hilarious because of how farcical the last eight years have been. Canadians by and large believe that everything is fine because we were/are a prosperous nation with our incorruptible government/institutions and will always be that way. If there is a problem, throw money at it and hope it goes away.

Then look at the housing crisis, which as been building since Mulroney slashed funding for public housing thirty five years ago. Successive governments have largely ignored the issue while steadily increasing immigration until we reach this crisis point. All the Trudeau government does now is whine in Parliament about how the opposition did nothing under the Harper government when they ignored the issue for eight years. Similarly, they refuse to throttle immigration because of the Catch-22 of the Canadian welfare state. Life expectancies are up and birth rates are down. If Canada doesn't accept every warm body they can find, regardless if they speak English or not, then CPP will collapse.

That is the tip of the preverbal iceberg as I have yet to address healthcare or the steadily rising crime rate. (Which by the look of that graph has been steadily rising since the mid-2010s despite a dip in 2020.) History is cyclical and societal collapses do not happen overnight. What's happening in Canada has been a slow burn and the pressure been building for years now Canadians can deliberately ignore it at their own peril.

In other words you have no life experience and have not lived long enough to see successful people have their successes washed away by time or vice versa, and the failures that have their failures washed away by time also.

I don't know what trying to tone police this thread on behalf of the government and the ruling party, or your own sense of intense personal virtue and innocence has to do with anyone's mental health other than your own. Fascinating nonetheless. Like listening to a CBC trust fund brat in their 50s go on about their parent's cottage in Muskoka. Tell us more.

Thank you. No one asked for your sympathy and no one cares even if you make the effort to adjust to 3rd person. You meet the definition of mentally-ill if you think people must obtain your approval and appease you or others before they can disagree with their own government. Is it an election year already, Mein Reichslaiter?

Maybe in the case of anyone older than a millennial. Zoomers could have done everything right (Stem, trades or business (non marketing)) and still be living in precarity.

Canada's economy is just a giant ponzi scheme. Change my mind.

If we could actually use the wealth of natural resources this country has, we'd probably be in a better position, but unfortunately that sets either the Environmentalists or the Rezzies off - if I could afford to leave I would, but I can't, so I'm just stockpiling popcorn for when it all goes to shit.

by how abrasive and hysterical people like you post.
People like me are fed up. All I’ve ever been is calm and respectful. (Irl lol) I regularly engage with people who are across the board with politics. I’m entirely capable of being civil and respectful, but what’s the point. People will never understand. You haven’t seen it, heard it, or lived through what is really happening right now. Things are changing, conspiracy exists. A turning point is coming. If you haven’t felt it yet, you will. It’s only a matter of time. It could be a year. It might be ten. But evil prudents decades ago have set forth what most would consider impossible.

It's hard to take you seriously when you post stuff that comes across as majorly unhinged like this. How does one even reply to this? There's nothing to even have a conversation on and it's clear that unless someone agrees with whatever conspiracy theories you've subscribed to you have no interest anyway.

It's obvious you're young and haven't seen a downturn/poor market conditions before this, but instead of trying to understand it you cling to easy to digest, comforting conspiracies.

Than don’t. I literally have never cared if anyone agrees with me. Your missing the point entirely.

but instead of trying to understand it
Nigga I was the only one able to understand a year one Econ class. Let alone basic supply chain logistics. Nothing about what’s happening is comforting. No reason, speculation, or hypothetical is calming. No truth or pill I’ve had to swallow has made me feel better. It’s objective reality that there is a new age on the horizon.

The CPP will just collapse faster now, as wages are so poor compared to cost of living that NOBODY is saving or paying into their CPP, and all of those new immigrants are definitely not paying into it.

In other words you have no life experience and have not lived long enough to see successful people have their successes washed away by time or vice versa, and the failures that have their failures washed away by time also.
While fuckups do exist; I think thats basically it.

The problem is when you do "everything right" (rarely such a thing) for most of your life, and the system has broken down in the meantime so it doesnt add up to what was promised.

My only problem, and I do still hold condolences for people in that situation is, that when things get tough, you still have to keep on working, pushing forward, and digging yourself out of hell- regardless of whose fault it is that youre in there.

When it comes to bums "its society's fault that Im here", if their next step is to go "so society has to bring me back up", they havn't learnt a thing.

Vice versa, you do have cases, moreso than not today, where society legitimately fucks people over. This thread is full of example of that, from the rising rate of the homeless elderly, to collapsing healthcare, to the current unprecedented immigration crisis that supposedly noone vote for but the liberals seemed to think they had a mandate for (looking at you laptop class and liberal young women).

The thread also has more amusing moments, like unironic retvrn to the woods young Canadians, advice on different provinces, and its a good place to hear a sympathetic opinion

When life pushes you down, bounce back up. That is what you can control, and fight on.

For the people in the thread saying "no this is all normal, youre overexaggerating, society isnt fucking people over" etc. You are wrong- it does, and its doing so more and more rapidly each day.

But you should realize, youre on the fucking kiwifarms, where people congregate together to laugh at life's absurdities, clownworld, and other problems in a space where they really can't shoot the shit otherwise..

If you have a problem with that, or want derail with "no clownworld doesnt exist" youre in the wrong place, and kindly go to reddit.

I hope Brian Mulronoy ends up abused by a Negro Orderly in his nursing home. Fuck him, Century Initiative my ass.
Mulroney was and is a retarded Red Tory and lots of his policies were garbage. His insane decision to appoint Kim Campbell as Justice minister was one of the worst mistakes he ever made (not THE worst, but it's up there). With that kind of anti-gun BS running around the Progressive Conservatives, they all may as well have switched over/crossed the floor to the Liberal party.

Globalists always use that tactic that what they plan to force on them, they tell them It's just a conspiracy to try to silent dissent so they can get on with what they're doing which in many cases happened. Remember when Vaccine Passports were regarded as "Just a Conspiracy"?
