Canada is a failed state

This is one of the directors of that fascist organization Borderlands Pride who stole the Mayor's own money for not kowtowing to rainbow pedos and then bragged about it. Turns out hes a practicing lawyer too. No doubt he has a good amount of cheese pizza on his hard drive too.

These are fundamentally transient jobs that literal children used to do; they were never meant to support a family full time.
nah and this is how you know the oligarchs have gotten their hooks into someone full time. in 1976 the minimum wage was $2.10 a hour. assuming full time work that's 336 a month before tax. the average rent in NYC in 1976 was $133 a month, or just less than half of what pre-tax minimum wage jobs were paying. at the average hourly wage calculation people were making $800 a month, which makes the rent figure even more favorable.

there's a reason why boomers are nostalgic for the last century and it was because the oligarchs hadn't inflated away their standard of living yet.

Reminder that Gerald Butts was literally the policy puppetmaster behind Trudeau (they've known each other for decades, Butts wrote Trudeau's eulogy speech for his father and was part of Trudeau's wedding), and was involved in a lot of the Liberal's failed policies like bail reform/catch-and-release, the carbon tax, and immigration.

He only quit after he got exposed during the SNC-Lavalin affair in 2019. Before his federal stint, he was also involved before that with the Ontario Liberals and their failed Green Energy Act that caused energy prices to skyrocket.

The Governor is some Chug woman Trudeau appointed plus when I was listening to CBC radio in my car they were saying it's improper procedure for the GG to step in / respond to the leader of the opposition. Only responding to the PM.
I dont think you should listen to CBC radio I think Newstalk is better
why not just support mom and pop restaurants more.
I try to do this. A Japanese coffee shop in downtown major city is more Canadian than Tim Horton's, owned by a Brazilian firm I thinks (And the employees can actually speak English). Although I have noticed that Starbucks and Second cup are less obvious in this case and less "diverse" in the way they hire. But please support mom and pop shops though, even if it's Independent Hipster Covfefé Soy Latté below a Condo.
they changed the Temporary Foreign Worker Program to allowed "low-skill occupations".
See the TFW program somewhat made sense in the event that a group of South Koreans have to come over to help setup an EV plant because Canada is so fucking stuck in the past that we don't have anyone who knows how to do that nor do we teach building that sort of infrastructure in schools. Note that anyone who is smart enough to build basic infrastructure left and moved to a country that doesn't steal half his paycheck.
reduced income taxes let me actually save something for once and start noticing the nickle and diming.
You're not saving anything living in a downtown Condo for $4000 a month 😃
It's always the fucking Nissan drivers that do stupid shit like this.
I get woken up sometimes at 2 am because some fucks are racing their G35s. I live in a wealthy area and have a fast-ish car as well but I don't understand how bucktees are still racing in this economy, it's not even just the rich chinese kids (it is them too though). Glad to see some kids are still having fun though. Daddy's money?
Purjinderpat doesn't have to ask Mom permission to work a double shift
To be fair this is a valid reason not to hire kids but not a valid reason not to hire. A lot of teenagers are genuinely bad workers and are on their phones constantly. I own a business and I'm willing to give a kid a chance to be a hand but I can see why Tim Hortons prefers slaves over teenagers who know their workers rights.

Infiniti G35s are old enough that teenagers can afford to buy them, and them being bought as 3rd owner or more makes them cheaper too. Some of those people even do the cheap route of just straight piping with muffler deletes to make them louder and sound even worse like the trumpets that VQ engines are. They are also easy to steal, which is why G35s are often seen in Takeover events in the US, where they just do burnouts in circles at an intersection while people watch. (Is that a thing in Leafland)?

Well Gerry Butts isn't wrong cause it will be a trashfire with Trump and Elon mass importing Jeets. We as Canadians should give them a BOGO sale where we sell them our Jeets up here. Lower shipping costs than getting them directly from India.

The street racing scene in my region is pretty big. As I said I'll get woken up at 2 am almost every night because of it. I've participated in it one way or another (mostly meets) but there's not really "takeovers". One jeet did a burnout at the big town square and a cop was instantly on him, then it was all over the news. Car Culture doesn't really exist the way it does in the US because of the weather and taxes. Any sports car you buy will be rotted out within 5 years if not literally babied and stored in a greenhouse. Any and all classics are the definition of rustbucket because the snow, and even when it's not snowing the salt on the roads will still destroy your car. However imports for Japanese cars are 10 years less than the US' 25 year rule so you sometimes see a few kei cars and such
In the 2000s it was guys running up and down Airport Rd because they couldn't get helicopters in the air just to go after racers around the airport. But this was when F&F was just released and racing culture was at it's peak. TikTok wasn't around yet so it was a bit more serious and hush hush.

In the 2010s the Chinese kids showed up with McLarens and Porsches and pretty much started smoking everybody. The advantage the Chinese students have over everyone else is deeper pockets due to rich parents in China and so called diplomatic immunity. While your average teenager will have his G2 suspended instantly over something like crashing his muffler deleted civic, a 富二代 can throw his McLaren into a wall right next to a Motorcycle school in session and not have any consequences, Financially or License related. They will not be held accountable or have any fines/jail time because no way is Canada having another Huawei Incident over someone fucking with innocent lives for short fun.

Then TikTok came around and at the same time jeets manage to buy hellcats on lifetime-long leases because one rapper in brapton bought one not to mention driver's lincenses can be quite literally bought. These people have never seen snow before, bought their license, have no insurance, and are driving on the same roads as you in the same way they would in India, it almost makes the Chinese kids I mentioned before seem tame. With TikTok in full swing you have kids doing retarded shit ON CAMERA for views, not even fearing police anymore because they are practically useless for anything other than enforcing hate speech laws or parking tickets.

Again and to say that I live in one of the few regions where the police are still somewhat serious (compared to nearby regions)

Can Westeners just admit this whole “neoliberalism” thing was a big mistake, and roll it back?

It was a cute and silly utopian idea when Woodrow Wilson was around, I’m sure, but we’ve all seen where it goes now, and no one can name a single positive result of "liberal values." Not one positive thing. It’s now supposed to be “rules-based order,” which by the way, the 'I support the current thing' zombies won't explain what those rules entail.

The way much of the modern world is progressing is towards a dead-end creek, with a dark end at the hands of pathological empathy, an overwhelming parasitic migrant load, overcomplicated systems collapsing on themselves, and weakened populations unable to sustain the population, trust, and expertise needed to maintain modern society (can a future Canada on its current demographic trajectory maintain its nuclear fleet?)

Conservatism at the moment only proposes keeping society in its current place along the creek, or pushing it back a little bit. What's needed is an alternative route that articulates a way out of this creek. As a least-exciting immediate example, the CPC will probably propose reducing immigration levels a bit more than the Liberals- but that falls far short of actually removing the 3 million low-skill Indians that Trudeau has dumped onto this country, which is something needed if Canadians want Canada to stay even 2000s-era levels of Canadian.

NYC in 1976 was a shithole on par with Detroit where no one wanted to live which is why rent was so cheap. You can still live in the ghetto today on minimum wage.

Housing prices are higher, but it has less to do with the value of the currency and more to do with the massive increase in demand from immigration as well as centralization in a handful of megacities whose industries weren’t destroyed by shortsighted politicians.

Also, this is the Canada thread. Why are you taking about New York?

The jeets already literally freeze to death trying to cross down into the States. If Elon really does intend to positively reinforce jeeting it up in the US there isn't even going to need to be much internal pressure within Canada to deport 'temporary students'.

One major difference between 2005 and 2025 that I rarely see mentioned is that kids don't get jobs anymore because they're all taken by Jeets. I worked in a movie theatre for $6.45 an hour and that was OK because I was 14. These are fundamentally transient jobs that literal children used to do; they were never meant to support a family full time.

But Tim Horton's and their ilk wants to squeeze every dollar out of both their employees and their customers, and it turns out Purjinderpat doesn't have to ask Mom permission to work a double shift and has zero plans of going back to school in the fall, and the manager making $36,000 a year already speaks Hindi, so it's easier for them to rely on TFWs.
You know what's funny? The pajeet protests in Canada. They hold signs that say "Good enough to work, Good enough to stay". By that logic the whole world should be allowed in Canada because anyone can work at Timmies. It's just taking orders and pouring coffee lol. I wish we had real conservatives to call out these ragheads.

Fuck the PPC. This country is doomed to become India 3(UK is already India 2)
