Thanks yeah I love it. It's called french racing blue. Less than 200 of the S were made in it. Cars a rare bird but ready for something little more sane and cheaper.
 
Ok got a few snaps mrs has way more but not around editing or bluring my plates or the for sale with my info.... Because she's fucking retarded.

The slick little air inlet only S got, front lip replace finally and bay (earlier at service) I love the backward hood.
Kinda looks like grabber blue from the Mustang colors.

I found a Citicar for sale in my neck of the woods for $800 lol. If you don't know these suckers have two speeds: slow and slower. Nothing in-between.View attachment 2561918
Not the actual car in the listing, but it does make me think about pulling some of the motor controllers and lithium packs I have off the shelf. The stock Citicar uses golf cart batteries and has an up to (!) 6 HP motor

Buy it before I do. I had the opportunity to buy one a long time ago, and HATE myself for not doing it, now that I know how to work on EVs. It would be so cool to get that thing up to highway speeds.

Also, I recognize that warehouse. That's the GR Auto Gallery, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It's definitely a mecca for the classic car enthusiast.
 
No way in hell I would even think about getting that puppy above 40 mph. If you want to get into EVs that might be the best car to work on. Pretty sure it's just golf cart batteries, and instead of an electronic motor controller, your pedal position just changes the battery banks from parallel to series to change the voltage. No real speed control, and dead simple. Absolutely built down to a price. If you buy it I would love to work on it. I guess DM me for the local ad?

Hit a bump or incline and your bumper is scraping on the pavement. Plus, it looks ugly as hell.

There is no accounting for taste. Just spit right in the face of a car manufacturer's dozens of millions spent on engineers to research the perfect optimization between performance, comfort, efficiency, and cost for a suspension. No big deal

There’s actual uses for cambered tires and low suspension… but that’s for track use. Not here. I think it started as ricers seeing track cars use it and going “Hmm. If I do that, surely people will think my car is fast” and then it spiraled into its own sort of fashion style. That’s just my 2c on how I think it happened. Most ricer car mods are ugly as fuck. Big wings, ugly tacky wrap, slammed with huge camber, all look terrible to the non-enthusiast. The average person doesn’t give a fuck and will only maybe turn their head at a ferrarilambosuperhyper car.

There can be some value in lowering your car a little.. I just lowered my daily and the rear end sits a lot nicer (it was higher up before) and overall is a lot nicer looking. Did sway bar and stabilizer bars and the car sticks a lot more in corners in shit. Ride is a little rougher but meh, i don’t care. I’m not in a financial position to own a ton of cars so im sticking to these safe little tweaks for a sportier ride.

In theory, lowering the car improves handling and makes it more responsive. In practice, this often just makes it more uncomfortable and impractical to drive.

Yeah, lowering helps a lot to increase downforce which greatly improves handling and higher speed aerodynamics. NASCAR does this to an extreme degree because it does so much good in pack racing especially since it increases the ability to draft, and makes sling-shoting a lot more effective when done correctly. Plus you'll notice how much the tendency for those cars to immediately go nose up in a crash and become airborne to the point where they installed airbrakes on the entire body to try and influence the aero to get the nose down ASAP because the pressure diff is so insanely massive between the top of the car and the bottom at speed.

Here's the thing though, that shit really does it's best work over 145mph, which most Civics with painted on tires and a 2 3/4 inch drop will never touch outside of a 2 mile straight
 
Yeah, lowering helps a lot to increase downforce which greatly improves handling and higher speed aerodynamics.
Don’t forget that it also lowers the center of gravity which, in theory, also improves low-speed handling dynamics. There is more to account for, such as the effect the lowering will have on the suspension geometry which should be accounted for. Simply slapping lowering springs on a car doesn’t always work out so well since it can negatively impact the wheel camber and may cause other imbalances that become more pronounced during suspension travel. A properly, mildly lowered car with a few other modifications (dampers, swaybars, etc) and a proper alignment can be more fun to drive without sacrificing much practicality and livability.

There's a whole subculture in the car modifying and tuning scene that aims to make as ridiculous as mods as possible. Ricing and stancing is one of them. People will put tacky visual mods like cheap side skirts and shitty spoilers, Altezza style headlight/taillight assemblies (now I guess it's all about the LED). For stance, people put on some cheapo coilovers and lower it as much as possible sometimes with ridiculous camber. If done right, they actually can look pretty good, but almost 90% of those kinds of mods result in no performance benefits.

Yeah, I blame the modern media (not like news and shit, but actual dictionary definition media) and it's constant glorification of hideous and outright fugly-ass shit as seen in putting fat girls in Victoria Secret ads and treating Taraji Henson like an icon of beauty, when she clearly looks like a racist anime drawing of Aunt Jemima. Young people love ugly, stupid bullshit and I'm tired of seeing 3's on my TV
