It's just an aged-up Mabel of ambigious ethnicity, my dude. If the show was airing, i would bet on her being ship teased with the Pacifica knock-off because subvert female rivalry and fuck disney amiright. Gee, what a shame Owl House did this boring lezzie dynamic first and now no one can't take a brownie point for that one anymore.

I believe it was the only "memorable" thing about it, since the plot that Gravity Falls' lore surrounds is barely serviceable - references within references all over the place. The art isn't much to write home about either.

And it was mostly young adults doing all the ARG drivel and secret-hunting; I do not believe that many children in 2013 properly knew what ciphers are, or knew how to use editing software to reverse audio (The secret messages in intros\autros), or had the money to buy all the sooper kewl merchendise. All the fandom knowledge was then regurgitated by youtubers or in niche online spaces concerning the show, where kids picked it up.

My final thesis is that it was made by a millenial, for millenials.

The guy is the definition of a one hit wonder. And even then Gravity Falls was mostly held up by autistic fans who tried to make it more then it actually was.

All I’ve heard is that Alex Hirsch is a sexpest but I don’t know how true that is. I do know it’s true that he did nepotism shit with figures like Dana Terrence and Daron Nefcy, but so many others do that.

Iirc he did have a tumblr account but the only time that was in use when he was announcing the show ending.

If I had to take a guess, it’s because it becaus tumblr’s algorithm(?) or whatever they have lowkey sucks unless you have a big following from what I’ve heard since it’s all about reblogs over there

Until relatively recently there wasn't an algorithm, the "for you" tab is new. You have to follow people, and it shows you all their posts in chronological order, which unironically makes Tumblr the only fucking usable social media website.
 
Back on the subject of alex hirsch, ever since my last post about his xitter, he's been mostly reposting xeets from Jon Favreau, Bernie Sanders, Gavin Newsome, AOC, and someone named Alec MacGillis? (Most likely a shitlib like alex is already)
