The second "date" is at a bowling alley; I imagine it's going to be much more difficult to make out what everyone is saying, what with all the moving around and the echoing locale. I just hope we can get the confrontations between Chris and Catherine when he tried to kiss her.

I bet Chris would have agreed to have the conversation recorded if Catherine had told him she wanted to do it so she could have a recording of their love blossoming.

If you don't have a duck, you don't need to troll Chris, you can just tell him to troll himself and he will do it.

I don't understand this at all. If I was meeting Chris for the first time as a woman, then yes, I'd be scared, but knowing what I know about Chris, I'm sure that if you gave him a nice sharp slap across the face and shouted at him, he would back off. Until he tried again. But the point is that Chris can be literally paralyzed if you raise your voice and speak "harshly" to him. He's not yet met a woman who has tried this sort of escalation.

In terms of the pepper spray, I believe he would have no trouble using it against a female manajerk or college dean, but he wouldn't dream of offending a potential sweetheart in this way.

But the problem is Chris is stupidly unpredictable and escalates whenever. Everything that you can do about it will only be a reaction after the fact. Catie pushed Chris off her body at the end of the second date, according to the wiki, so I'm sure she's capable of slapping him after that, but she'd still be driving home with the memory of his face on her chest. The deed would have already been done. I can't fathom a girl finding that risk worthy of the "lulz," because even I don't want to get that close to Chris.

Not to mention the social pressure for a woman to not cause a scene in Applebees, or for any person really to be seen yelling at (or worse, hitting) a tard in public. Remember Chris is just a run-of-the-mill retard to everyone else.

From the description of the second date when she was getting into the car he made the attempt, despite being told that the relationship was strictly platonic.
 
He's pissed at Bell because Bell rightly convinced them to agree to a plea bargain. Chris wanted a trial, so he could be vindicated. He probably had visions of Snyder being thrown in prison.

I think they're dirty crapped panties nowadays. ;) Seriously though, Barb is the one thing that allows me to feel an iota of sympathy for Chris. Yeah, he's totally responsible for his actions. But his parents (mostly Barb, although Bob definitely had a hand in it too) totally fucked up when it came to raising a kid with special needs.

I had to give up for the night. I can't keep listening to his voice non-stop like that. You're a real trooper, "Al". Either that or a total masochist. Sadly, you guys gave him a lot of good advice and encouragement, actually. Chris being Chris, will never use it.

I wouldn't want to be alone with the guy -- not because I think he'd try anything, exactly. I can't see Chris being a rapist. I think Chris knows that rape=wrong. However, in his mind, if he thinks you're dating, it's totally okay to cop a feel and paw you constantly, and THAT would creep me out. Obviously part of it is the autism. He's more like a "dirty old man", only without the "old" part. A good smack would probably take care of it, naturally, but why even go there?
