i was never able to speak with anyone at centurylink. the line kept disconnecting while i was on hold. i filed a complaint with the fcc anonymously (as jayne public, using all of the fcc's contact info as my own except for my anonymous email), but i included redacted screenshots of the lookup, the ping, and the tracert for both kf.net and mati.com. the fcc emailed me a ticket number the next day, and have followed up twice since then.

for those who did not read the privacy notice on the fcc's complaint page, all complaints become public information after resolution, but you can request that your personal information be redacted.

Honestly what gets me is that all Jones/ Keffals/ other fags likely have loads of past support for a free Internet.
