CenturyLink/Qwest/Layer3 blocks Kiwi Farms

Any bong kiwis noticed blackholing? I say this as theyre usually so fucking incompetent and usually very apathetic from my experience.
Earlier, yes, like 12 hours ago I was getting a complete “server not responding” or timeout. (BT isp). It was fine just using vpn (didn’t need to change routing from my own local).
It’s clear now.
Is it worth me complaining, when I’m not in the US….can’t get a handle on this.
What basic info do I need to provide a coherent complaint?
Ive grasped the basics reading this thread (complain about illegally blocking x ip or the LLC.) but would a complaint from a bong be helpful.?

I know that asking for spoon feeding is frowned upon, but I feel I can be forgiven when a lot people here won’t be very knowledgable about complex internet lingo…….

Would it be a good idea for someone highly techy to provide a copy/paste complaint letter that could be used. This is a legal matter and you need to be able to state your issues clearly, with the lingo. Or at least a dummy’s guide to writing a complaint, giving the salient points, the specific illegal act and how to counter their brush offs. We will be brushed off. To fight effectively is impossible for non-techs.

If more people are to complain (very much needed) the more people the better, and I know that a lot of us have NO idea how to do so in a competent way. I’ve tried to get info from reading this whole thread, but when circumstances and lingo are so far above you, I am not confident in articulating my problem fully and believe me, I want to own them…not be fobbed off. They’re doing illegal things and it’s disgusting…..they’ll fob you off if you dont know enough.

Does any kind techy feel able to explain things so that the retards can help In the fight?

Net Neutrality is not a solution. Net Neutrality laws do exist in Europe, but the EU doesn't actually have the power to enforce it. In addition, ISPs are free to block any websites that they feel violate their terms of service anyway. Net Neutrality just ensures that any traffic that comes from allowed websites and services not be shaped by their content, source, or destination. Net Neutrality is something that sounds good in theory, but I've yet to see it actually be useful in practice.

Random.txt had some words of wisdom during these trying times.

As I remembered, the fight over CDNs and peering, not about routing at all.
I remember, decades ago when I was an adolescent just learning about this stuff, listening to a shitty audio recording I had downloaded of a 2600 presentation that was titled something to the effect of "CAN ICANN PLAY?". It was a presentation by Andy Muller Maguhn, the CCC guy, where he spoke about going to ICANN as the odd-man-out, and openly hearing them talk about wanting to delete top level domains to prevent access to entire countries during a "crisis". This was right after 9/11 and he was quite alarmed at the fact that they were so casually considering wiping whole countries off the net in this manner. I can't even find this lecture anymore in 2600's archive.

You can use the clearnet version of Kiwifarms on TOR, it seems to work fine for me right now. I'm also on a VPN out of switzerland.
yeah its just slow though.I know some vpn servers associated dns servers work though I just don't know which ones. I suppose if anyone posted them here the troon activists will just harass them into removing kiwifarms from the result?

I'm still not sure what went wrong for me earlier. I couldn't connect to the site from clearnet with or without vpn. nslookup came back correct and I could ping 103.114.191.1 no problem. A different computer on same local network had no problem connecting.

Kiwifarms is now part of the super spooky and dangerous deep dark web. The Internet is fucked, gay, and in trouble. It's regrettable that things got so bad I have to use TOR (which everyone assumes is predominantly used by spooky ARG sites and weirdo druggos).
Mumsnet and Ovarit are definitely next on the troon hitlist. Weird Al Caraballo learned the hard way that all congress is going to do is laugh in his face if he ever tries to get the internet censored by the government using the bullshit "Rise of Online Hate" narrative. So Sinseer and his other tranny ghoul friends will just repeat the steps shown here, using the "Rise of Online Hate" narrative and get Tier 1 providers to take down sites that offend troons personally.

Meanwhile, websites that hold actual illegal content (zoophilia, zoosadism, CP, etc) are protected by Cloudflare, no questions asked and easily accessible through every ISP on the planet.

Also, Telegram will never NOT be shaddy, considering its Russian origins,
Good point.
The Independent said:

Russia is lifting a ban on the Telegram private messenger app, its government has said.

The app has been officially blocked in Russia's since April 2018 when the tech company refused to provide security services with backdoor encryption keys.

In reality, Russian authorities struggled to enforce the ban, with Telegram moving to hide traffic behind mobile IP addresses. In often clumsy attempts to block access, regulators ended up switching off large chunks of the internet, including banks and even Gmail.

Earlier this week, it was reported a number of government agencies had asked Roskomnadzor, Russia's media and internet regulator, to lift the formal ban on the messenger to allow them to use it legally.

On its part, Roskomnadzor said the U-turn was made possible by Telegram's "willingness" to help their efforts to counter terrorism and extremism.

In early June, Pavel Durov, Telegram's founder said that his team had developed ways to "catch and delete extremist and terrorist content".

The dispute between Russia and Telegram revolved around the app's commitment to end-to-end encryption, which keeps messages safe as they are passed over the service. Such technology means that it is not possible for companies to read messages in transit, and that only the sender and recipient are able to access them.

Russia argued that this should not be possible, and that Telegram should store the keys to unlock and read those messages within Russia. That would allow them to read any messages they wanted to, which authorities argued was necessary to stop terrorism and other problem content.

Roskomnadzor did not indicate how the two organisations had been able to overcome that issue. It did not say whether it now had access to those messages, or what changes had happened to the platform.

Telegram and Mr Durov – who regularly uses the platform to communicate with its users – are yet to publicly comment on the decision.
not being open-source
If it's any consolation, at least their app is.
and it's demand for one's phone number in the first place.
Another valid concern.
Here are some ways to get downtime updates from the Telegram channel without giving them your phone number:
  1. Telewebgram.com
  2. Buying a "phone number" (not really) with their shitcoin
  3. Using one of the many additional phone number apps
  4. Buying / paying someone else to buy and register a burner SIM for you

You can use VPN to bypass their throttling of tethering, and to bypass their throttling of video. Without it after a certain cap you're throttled down to 3G speeds for all data.

T-Mobile throttles video down to 2G speeds - 320p or 480p max - unless you pay extra monthly fee. Very annoying, as any page that has a Youtube embed on it drags everything down to 2G speeds. Imagine loading a KF video thread with 30 Youtube embeds at speeds that are just a few times greater than dialup.

With VPN you can get full speed minus deprioritization penalties.
Ahh I see what you mean now. But that's only for heavy users. I don't use anywhere near the amount of data required to be caught in that net.

I wish they'd go after Onion Farms, or those Marsey worshipping schizos, or "Website Zero" first. Why did it have to be us bros? 😭

"first nail is in the coffin for free speech online."
Fucking kek, get off elon's dick dummy. This isn't a violation of muh free speech because the government isn't interfering in your retarded culture war. If you're a pain-in-the-ass customer because every provider you go to gets caught in the crossfire between you and the raging troon mob you've collected like a cloud of locusts, providers have every right to decline to do business with you and you can fuck off to one of their competitors. That's capitalism. The only first amendment issue here is that providers can't and shouldn't be compelled to do business with you.

This is why you're a cow, Josh. I enjoy this site and hope you can keep it up, thanks for that, but unironically crying FrEe SpEeCh is fucking embarrassing. Free speech means free from government censorship. Free speech does not mean consequence-free, and the troons have the same right to free speech you do under US law. You are not entitled to private services when you subject those service providers to high volume troonery. It's no wonder they wouldn't want to do business with you
