Then again, she has flights of fancy when she thinks she can "rough it" THIS TOIME! She was seriously thinking about doing a road trip across the US after watching van life videos. She got an idealized view of Syria after watching travel vlogs. And she has never let go of the notion of someday hiking to Everest base camp. Heck, there was even a time she thought dumpster diving was a good idea when that was a big thing on social media.

Her rationale this time is that no fast food means she will be forced to lose weight (ya right, she'll just get hangry and demanding) and that Syria is not has hot as Kuwait (only by a few degrees). and she can adjust her sleep schedule/CPAP use around the availability of electricity. (If the outages are as frequent as she says and the solar is shared by the whole building, I have my doubts about how reliable it is.)

And how about all of those schemes for getting healthy? Grape fast to get rid of her ovarian cysts, 40 day water fast ahead of the first Thailand trip, considering the second Thailand trip yet another "last hurrah" before she fired up the treadmill back in Kuwait, curing her diabetes without making a single lifestyle change, etc.

THAT is a great theory! I can't think of any other way they could do it. I'm sure it's not as easy to wire money from a Canadian account to Syria as it is from Canada to Kuwait. That may be the bait that is keeping Salah on the line...for now.

I can’t get over just how stupid all of this has become. My reaction has been just to shake my head in utter disbelief.

As to Salah being “annoyed” or telling Chins not to come “yet”, if he really didn’t want her there, all he had to do was say, “I won’t pick you up. Stay there until I tell you.” Or, more simply, “No.” He truly is a spineless excuse for a man.

Chantal should be fine as a Canadian . Salah meanwhile is the enigma. Even with Bashar Al Assad removed, the Syrian passport is weak as fuck and is probably going to be scrutinized by a country Salah would want to go to. Also. Al said Salah was already denied entry into Canada twice and Twitter users will want to look into his online activity.

It's like the last season of Seinfeld. Yeah, I will miss it, but it was steadily declining and wasn't nearly as good the last season or two anyway, and even if it did keep going, it would only get worse .

The cost of keeping her alive far outweighs any benefit that could be extracted from beating her until she poorly simulated a Roomba, especially in Syria, a failed state with a Muslim majority where people regularly capture and enslave anyone weaker than them. There are much better options available.
