Is it me or is this guy starting to go down the lolcow trail. I'm putting it here because he's a pretty big media guy, but he's starting to 'call out' absolute nobodies on youtube and turning it into a flamewar. I couldn't find a thread yet, if there is one I''d want this one taken down.

@mlanguishi SO, I was able to go back on a tab that had your post/stream open before it was removed. Screen recorded the portion of livestream where he talked about the child transitioning statement. Audio is good and I got the whole thing, HOWEVER few seconds in the video just freezes to a still image. With that in mind and no solution, I just converted it to MP3, cause there was no visuals after 10 seconds in.

Here is a recording in full, of his response to the child Transitioning Statement from the debate. it's raw five minutes, anyone is welcome to make time stamps in it for there is empty air in two spots at the end. Several instances of him coping and deflecting attention towards Sneako and doubling down in some parts.

I respected Charlie for a long time with his schtick of video game playthoughs where he acts completely emotionlessly, which was a refreshing change of pace from other YouTubers who always exaggerated their reactions for the view counts.

He did his face reveal a few years ago and changed from simple video game playthroughs to social commentary, which I found less interesting but at the same time he seemed much happier for doing them. I did enjoy his chess video where he beat a chess master and was recorded live shouting profanity or something. He did cover a few major events such as the Dream saga, but if anything, he's started to go down the path of commenting on random events and dressing them up as bigger than they are.

I personally think that while Charlie isn't a full-blown Lolcow, he's certainly getting there, especially with his recent videos. He's just missing full-on social media slapfights with other cows and having wars with other internet personalities.

He's gone from commentary to inserting himself into drama, pretty quickly. All the Youtube commentary types end up doing this.

Oh, good to see it wasn't only me who noticed.

I don't really watch his videos anymore, but sometimes they get dumped into my recommended, like the one he did not long ago on that Nasubi guy which got 13 million views:

Thing is that I saw the original Atrocity Guide video way back (it was made 3 fucking years ago) he added almost nothing to the original video except moral hand-wringing, while getting over 10x the views. I've seen similar moral fretting in the few other recent videos I've seen too.

I know that wasn't there previously, back a few years ago individuals like him were satisfied joking about things and having faith that people would be able to come to their own conclusions. Now they have to cry and make sure everyone knows what to think.
You know, thank god for your righteous indignation Charlie, otherwise I'd never be able to realize that locking a guy naked in a room for a year and screwing with his head for profit was sort of unsavory!

I don't know, I think he's reaching his late 20s (google tells me he's 28), I feel like that's a period that serves as a critical (cr1tikal, even) point for these "edgy" types.
Will I chill out and accept that as I get older I won't always be trendy edgy guy, or will I become a faggot in a nervous attempt to maintain social security and relevancy? He's choosing the latter.

He always seemed like a levelheaded guy who was at least somewhat aware of the dangers of the internet, but sanity often doesn't survive the passage of time. So I guess we'll see.

He's not a lolcow. Just a guy who rose to popularity as an every guy and then became a douche when he got wealthy. He spends a good deal of his time blowing other Youtube personalities like Mr. Beast. I don't think Mr. Beast needs anyone to whiteknight him but damn if he doesn't every time anything small happens.

I used to really like him back in the day when he was doing infomercial parodies and gamepley videos. I don't think that he is completely awful now - I still sort of enjoy his infantile humour and he genuinely seems like a caring person - but he has definitely fallen from grace.

For example:
1. His streams are mostly unbearable to watch, he just sits there and you'll be lucky if you get a "holy shit" once a while. Extremely lazy content compared to his old shit.
2. He sometimes acts like a complete asshole out of nowhere when his fans try to suggest watching/playing something he suddenly doesn't like and he seems genuinely angry about it.
3. His audience is full of terminally online parasocial retards who treat him like an authority on everything and can't make up their own opinion about anything unless it's approved by Charlie. They constantly nag him to talk about shit no one cares about and for some reason he can't just tell them to fuck off. He claims that he doesn't want to be an authority on anthing yet he keeps on fucking talking. Just shut the fuck up, then.

The youtube clout and shekels have definitely gone into his head. The reason why many people liked him was because he was just some random guy making funny videos. Now it just feels like he tries to involve himself in everything and be on top of everything all the time. I still think he's a decent person but his ego sometimes really shows. He might be slowly starting to go the Ethan klein route.

I can't fathom how can anyone watch him regularly. Sometimes when I happen upon one of his streams and see him playing some shitty steam game with a blank expression, I genuinely can't tell if he's really dying inside or not. In those moments, he really reminds of Jordie or Cosmo. Just miserable.

I used to watch him back in 2011-ish when his QWOP video got popular so seeing him going from looking happy and fit back then to now sort of haunts me. He just looks like a corpse trying to be human again

He's the one person that convinced me internet personalities has a shelf life until they become egotistical husks grifting for money. Be glad that your dream of being a let's player died because either you've been forgotten or the void of the internet consumes you

I stopped giving a damn about Charles after he became a Mutahar clone, but I'm going to defend the short kings here. Yung Gravy is 6'7". Anyone looks like a manlet compared to him.
